1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Luts Senior Delf 65 Discussion Part 1

Dec 29, 2014

    1. When it comes to semi stylized dolls I'm used to my dolls having quite large heads, like my Dream of Doll Luke, and CP Delf Soony when I still owned her. Even my KDF Ttori and An have quite a large and round head.

But my Sweety Bliss's head is quite a bit smaller in comparison my Luke. I'm just wondering, is the SSDF heads more on the larger side or is it same size as the SDF and SDF65 head sculpts?

    2. Hi! I looked at the wiki but the resin comparison link is broken. I have a head coming in soon that was described as 'luts normal' color. It would be super lovely if someone could help me with matches. I'd appreciate it!

    3. @manabusama Hi there, I do not have a SSDF and a SDF65 yet. But, based on Luts website, I am quite sure that the SDF65 and SSDF share the same head size. This is because the current heads being sold on Luts website all says that the head is compatible for SSDF and SDF65. If that is not the case, the head of SSDF might be smaller because on Luts website, SSDF neck circumference is 9.8cm while a SDF65 neck circumference is 10.5/10.6 cm (slim/muscle body type, respectively).

Also, I think it depends on the sculpt too. For example, SSDF Eclipse has head circumference of 8.4 inches, while SDF65 Sienna has a head circumference of 8.7 inches.

Here are the links I used to those 2 dolls I used to answer your question:
      SSDF Eclipse: lutsdoll co.,ltd.
      SDF65 Sienna: lutsdoll co.,ltd.

Hope that answers your question :)

    4. Ok, thank you for your answer :) Not all heads on Luts's site show the circumference unfortunately.

I might want a 70cm sized doll do join my "SDF65 Bliss" oneday, hoping a SSDF if I can find a sculpt that I want.

But I want his character to be not just the taller one of the two, but older and more masculine also. A bit like a brave hero type I guess you could say.

I have this thing where I like characters like that to be a bit bigger in head size in comparison to my smaller, cuter, more gentle, and more feminine character types. It does not matter whether it is a male or female sculpt, it just fits better a big though character type I think to have a bit bigger head. Or maybe it's just me, but I prefer it that way, for the most

Head size is a bit important to me when I plan my future doll characters. Planning my future Luts dolls would have been a whole lot easier if Luts had listed the head circumference on all their dolls.

    5. Does anyone happen to know exactly what was changed between the Xylon SDF sculpt and the S65 version of the sculpt? I like the upcoming limited version of the sculpt, but I don't need the limited faceup. However, I'm not sure if the differences I'm seeing between the two versions of the sculpt are because of the faceup and camera angles or if they're actually there.

    6. @Cloudedmind I believe the differences are just lighting and camera angles. SDF heads fit on S65 bodies, so there wouldnโ€™t be any need for a change.

    7. @PoeticSoul Thanks! I asked because on the previous limited version of Xylon, lutsdoll co.,ltd., Luts mentioned in the notice section that the head had been modified for the Senior65 body. I was hoping it might just be referring to the neck size.

Although, going back and looking at the Senior Delf version of Xylon it doesn't look like you can order the head on any of the Senior65 bodies. At least not on Luts site.

    8. I am going to be placing a $2500 order next month and haven't decided on the free choice doll. I'm stuck between getting Xylon on the SDF65 body, or a Jun Ha on the SDF type 3 body. :sweat

EDIT: Did not do the $2500 order, but still ordered Camel and Raven.

    9. Thought maybe I could ask here, but is there a Grand Senior Delf thread?

    10. There is now lol :celebrate

    11. Haha, ok  I'll keep an eye on the thread for now. I'm very curious about the dolls but I feel 75.5cm tall may be a bit too big for me. Or maybe it isn't, I have no idea right now :? But after I got my SDF65 Bliss, thoughts of having 1 boy of each Luts SD size have been a bit tempting.

    12. Hi, I didn't update for long time. Just come to share a photo of my Delf 65 Ginger
Now he had only a wig and top tank made by me :wiggle.
I'm going to dress him better soon.

    14. Please, what head circumference and head height do SDF boys have? Thank you.

    15. He's soooo pretty! I like his basic style, the tank looks good on him :)

    16. @Arengil is there a particular sculpt you're interested in? Each head is kinda different in size.

    17. @Zavrinas I'm looking for a hybrid of SDF 65 muscle body and Souldoll Double Morse's head. He is cca 21 cm / 10,5 cm neck. I'm not sure, will it fit him well?

    18. @Arengil : Souldoll released Morse with two other boys Eliot and Nia. They had a group shot of them together during their release (Souldoll already took it down), and I ended up purchasing a Nia head some time later when they were discontinued. They all looked similar in size and scale.

While I think the head could "fit" on the neck... the Souldoll heads are substantially smaller than all of the LUTS dolls I've ever owned. And the SDF65 body is definitely a big body. I'm afriad the Souldoll head would look pin-headed on a large body like this one. I unfortunately don't own my Nia anymore, but I remember how tiny his head was and now that I own a SDF65 I really can't imagine it would have looked good with him.

    19. Thank you for sharing your experience! The previous owner had him on Soom SG, so I thought a similarly large body could work. But the SDF is apparently larger in the shoulders.
