1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Luts Senior Delf 65 Discussion Part 1

Dec 29, 2014

    1. The Abadon65 is measuring 9cm~. If I had a Raven, a close size comparison would be with the head on the right. The head on the right is measuring under 8.5cm

    2. I get you. Head size also matters to me. I prefer my more feminine characters to have a bit smaller head size than my masculine characters.

    3. I’ve been reading a lot of this thread because I’m planning to get a SDF65 myself eventually, and the head size discussion has me curious. Is Raven particularly unique among Luts SD65 heads for being this small? It makes me wonder if the Cyan I want will also look too small next to my Volks.

Also wondering if anyone has ordered a big doll like a sdf65 via EMS Premium lately, since I’m pretty sure that’s still what I have to use. I kinda wanted to hold off on purchasing until we got EMS back, but they keeps looking less and less likely for this year. I was going to ask Luts for a shipping quote soon, but does anyone know what I could expect? I know it’s gonna be bonkers, but I think it will hurt a lot less knowing in advance rather than as a surprise once they’re ready to ship…

    4. @Torino I only got a reply from Luts about the additional EMS Premium fee after they'd already shipped my order. For me it was about $10 extra, but it probably depends on where you live and the package weight.

    5. @Torino I've heard that the Diez head is on the smaller side too. With Luts, I only recall using the regular EMS method last year and it was ~$80.00. For the EMS Premium, I've only used this method with Soom. It usually ends up $100+. I live in the US.

    6. Not sure what some people consider small, but I wouldn't say my Diez head is particularly small. It's pretty close to the same size as my Volks Ernest who's head is based off the old Lucas/Chris mold, and they have pretty big noggins.

    7. The elf Diez I have I feel like it's a pretty big head too. So I been on the search for a wider shouldered body for him that isn't 70cm or taller.

    8. My SDF65 cost $116 to ship to California. It's been a few months though, so it could be higher now. I had a few extras in the box, but not much.

Speaking of extras, Luts still hasn't restocked the Doll Legend jointed hands they recommend for the SDF65 guys, so I was thinking I'd just order them directly from Doll Legend. Does anyone know if it's the Normal Pink color that matches Luts Realskin Normal?

    9. Does Luts ever let you order just an existing head?

    10. We ordered those direct right after Luts put those up a few months ago, and when you go on Taobao there is a whole list of company specific colors. The correct color translated to something like “Luts new muscle,” which is a perfect match for Realskin Normal. They were also $65 and not the $100 Luts was charging (I assumed that was a convenience fee since they had them instock). They do take 4+ months to be made, but they look like they were made for the body.

Idk why every dealer I’m finding now has them in either yellow or pink, but I’m not sure what I’d pick if those are the only options now because neither really looks like the color of mine. The pink seems more aggressive and the yellow more like old RSN.

    11. @Amet That is so helpful, thank you!! I'll check em out on Taobao and see if that's still a color option. I kind of want to get stuff ordered before the resin shortage gets even worse.

    12. From what I've observed, they let you order new heads when they're first released. I don't know how long you get though, a month or two? After that it seems you have to order the full doll.

    13. Does anyone have experience with the custom faceup option from Luts, or slight alterations to the default? It seems to be something they offer, but I just wanted to know if anyone had done this.
Edit: Also thank you for the responses about shipping! It sounds like it’ll be less than I was dreading.

    14. @Torino : I have only done it once when I ordered my SD65 Dion and was able to get the free makeup on him. I think I made it pretty easy for them. I had one faceup that LUTS did on a different doll that I liked the eyes/eyebrows on, and another one that I liked the lips on.

I think I put in my request like:
Eye Makeup and Eyebrows: Luts Dion B Example (include picture)
Lip Makeup and Blushing: Luts Howl Example (include picuture)

They did it very nicely. His original faceup was way too pink and feminine... I usually never order with faceup, but since it was free I tried their custom service and I was very pleased with his outcome. You can see his default makeup here: lutsdoll co.,ltd.

VS. his custom makeup from Luts. I wanted more neutral brown tones/minimal blushing.

    15. @Dybbuk He looks great! It’s good to know it’s relatively straight-forward. Thanks so much for the example!

    16. hey all! i'm looking to buy Blue by the end of the year and was wondering if anyone here owns him and could show me some owner pictures?
if not anyone who has a luts doll in brown resin i would love to see some photos in different lighting

    17. Finally purchased another SD65 body! Aka my favorite SD body. This will be another of the original version. He's coming as a full doll so I'll have another head to figure something out with too. I looked around and I don't think anyone else here has one. He's an Ash and the face is nice but the company faceup I'm a bit meh about. I plan to put either my Breeze or Howl on this incoming body. :>

If you go a page back I have a couple pictures of Luts Brown dolls; a full Brinicle and 3 heads. :3nodding:

    18. @Cap'n ahh thank you, it's a bit hard to see in the photo would you mind telling me if it's more of a cool or warm skin tone?

    19. It's a very cool tone. Luts Brown has an olive undertone. It's very apparent when compared to a warmer toned tan. Here's an example. The right is Luts Brown from 2019. The left is Aimerai "cocoa" tan.
