Luts Senior Delf 65 Discussion Part 1

I hope that they do. Theres a few other heads I'd like to get my hands on too, I wouldn't want all my dolls to have the same body so I wouldn't buy them otherwise.

 

Yup, same here. Is any other SDF65 interesting you currently than ginger? Carmine is super popular

There's been actually quite few new SDF65 that I've seen people get like Fate has Brinicle and someone I just noticed got Diez. So yay for more SDF65s here

 

I can't wait to share my brin. I also want to jump at another head event! I'd like a bory head but not on a 65 body.
I wouldn't mind seeing what you mean by the ginger head? I really like the mold bit it would be nice to see your pics of him if you have. /this is not regarding sales, just interest in the sculpt. /

 

I liked Carmine until I saw owner photos. His face just seems a little wide and flat for my taste. I like Dion but I don't think I'd ever get one at full price. I really like Gray. And Cyan interests me. I think I could do something really interesting with him.

 

Yeah, Bory would look better on another body than SDF65. Somehow I can't imagine that KDF head on such body. Or I can imagine, but don't like it
Well I have pics of Gingers head on the sale thread that can be found by just searching ginger. He's so rare on Doa lol. Otherwise no other pics. I always deleted his pics, because he just didn't please me in anyway. Maybe if I had gotten him in RSW he would have looked similar to the luts sale photos. I loved Ginger's lips a lot on the saLe pics but luts didn't make them look the same in reality. (With face-up that is).

Seems like we have similar taste, I'm also not a fan of carmine haha, but Gray is stunning

 

Does anyone happen to know if Luts has been consistent in color with their normal skin resin lately?

 

Luts is usually consistent with the resin color. They probably changed it last time couple of years ago.

 

Since color has come up, does anyone know how Real Skin Brown ages? I'd really hate to have a green doll.

No problem

Luts brown skin does age to green hue but it's quite slow process and hardly noticeable to the eye once it has "greened". Usually you see the change only when comparing to a bran new brown doll.

 

I don't have access to my normal camera to take a nicer photo, but my Diez just arrived and here's a picture. I'm reshelling him from another doll, and the wig I used previously looks really bad on him, but the eyes fit and the Brinicle parts look good with the outfit. He's in brown, with the default faceup. I really like the SDF65 body!

Makes me impatient to get my Bory too, since he's also in brown and with the default faceup! The only thing I got from his set was his wig though. Asked Fabric Friends and Dolls if I could add some in stock clothes to my order and they agreed so he won't be naked. I mostly have MSD's so it's an adjustment!

 

@wonderful-world, I collect MSDs too so I know exactly what you mean about a SeniorDelf65 being an adjustment. But let me assure you that while my big sturdy boy was a bit of a shock size-wise, (be prepared to say "wow" in awe,) he was an instant delight as well! I absolutely adore him. He is the Winter '15 head (which interestingly enough is marked Senior Delf 65 inside the head) and it is a perfect match size-wise to the SDF65 body proportions. The youthful face/muscular body is the perfect combination for my centuries old angel who appears as a16 year old boy. His name is Barrio Luminaria, and it took me an entire decade to find the perfect shell for this unique character. He has the default Luts faceup. And wow, am I ever impressed with the quality and movement of the SDF65 body!

 

I do have a delf body and some floating SD heads so I have idea at least, just no clothes is my issue haha! I did order a couple outfits with him so he won't be naked at least. Just maybe barefoot... But I really do like your guys look!

 

Thanks! And I get it now...it was very smart of you to order some clothes along with your guy. Fabric, Friends and Dolls is pretty great about that. They let me order a special wig and eyes with my guy, and then I spent the 6 months I had him on layaway hunting down outfits for him or else he'd have arrived with nothing to wear because I had absolutely nothing on hand in his size. After a decade of thinking about his character, I knew exactly what he needed to wear...centuries of styles! And that body is so much fun to dress. Fortunately every single thing I bought (Dollzone, BlueBloodDolls, and Iplehouse) fit. Being so new to this size, I was really sweating it.

 

Sorry to double post but I had a request to see the Winter '15 default company faceup in more detail so here you go. It's truly immaculate perfection in person...so much soft delicate detail...unfortunately my camera and nighttime lighting isn't good enough to show it, but this is the best I can do. (Barrio may never forgive me for showing him bald however.)

 

Can anyone tell me sites you buy clothes from for the 65s? I'll probably make what I need, but it's good to know.

 

I purchased things from Iplehouse in their SID size and some from BlueBloodDoll on ebay. I've even purchased from Dollzone (these were a little tight, but they still fit.)
