1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Luts Senior Delf Discussion Part IV

Apr 26, 2016

    1. I'll also be getting an elf head that I'm not terribly interested in. I'm planning to use it as a face-up practice head! I also chose to get a different skin tone from the doll I ordered so I can have a resin comparison on hand.

Have people who ordered during the summer recieved their orders yet? I currently live in Korea so delivery will only take max 48 hours once my order leaves the company, but I'm moving again in six months and that's going to be a hassle if dolls are backed up six months...

    2. I've placed an order with Luts back in July and it was shipped out in October. It was a tan skin doll so I imagine NS or WS doll orders were shipped quicker.

    3. It has been my experience that Luts event heads (vs CP event heads) don't sell for terribly much second-hand. Harley was an event head, and my roommate bought it because it was super-cheap and she needed a head to faceup for the class at Dollism, way back in 2014. After she gave her a faceup (technically it was a boy head tho), she liked it enough to buy her a body, and when she got tired of it and I needed a random girl to play Harley at a doll meet, she became mine. Years later, I decided I needed a second head for her, was able to track down her head again, and again, it was super cheap. I would personally do what @Miss_Lovely791 is doing, and use it for faceup practice, or mod practice. You never know when you might want an extra head. and I mean

Harley turned out fabulous (this is her second head).

    4. Speedy drop of a Chloe photo here! :whee:

I think I posted in this thread a long time ago about this exact doll. I traded her away awhile ago and purchased her back just recently. I'm so happy to have her home--funny how things work out in this hobby. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Thursday!

    5. Please post more of her! I’ve wondered how she looks and am excited for you!

    6. @sammu , thank you so much—I’ll be sure to stop in with her again! Chloe is a wonderful sculpt, but she has a giant head which makes me giggle a little when she’s bald. :XD:

    7. Your Chloe is super cute, I also want to see more photos of her! I actually just got my Chloe in the mail a couple of days ago... she does indeed have a giant head/forehead. I pulled her wig forward as far as it could go, but she has a hairline that would have been fashionable during the High Renaissance. But it's charming, her sculpt is super sweet and it's kind of fun to discover the quirks.

    8. @Ruinscathedral , a big congrats on the arrival! :kitty2 Hope to see yours soon too! She definitely has some quirks—it’s always interesting to see which ones a doll will end up with. And also spot your favorite parts of the doll—one of my personal faves of Chloe is her adorable nose.

    9. Quick question, how is the possibility of the girls? Do they stand well, hold poses well? Pose naturally?

    10. @darkangelxix , I have the type 3 girl body and am very happy with it all in all. :whee: Sorry if that’s not the particular body you are looking for.

She stands and sits very solidly and easily (I do have hot glue sueding in her hips which helps a lot). Ankles and wrists have good, smooth range—not the best and definitely not the worst. Torso and neck joint are acting up about the same for me right now—not holding full range of motion etc—and I think would be fixed up nicely with some more sueding. Elbows are good but not amazing—easy to pose but not the most flexible double joint I’ve seen—look pretty though. Knees are average single joints so not much happening there.

Overall, posing is solid and relatively easy, joints look nice, and sueding helps fix up the weaker spots. Naturalness is about average in my opinion.

    12. A new Senior Delf body was previewed on the Luts IG called the Muse Body. Based on the one pic (which is mainly the legs) I'm thinking it's a Senior Delf version of the newer SD65 Slender since they also made a version of that in MSD scale, so another male body and this one will have a heeled legs version. It's also shown in a grey resin color and usually previews are shown in one of their offered colors (not as a grey-primed prototype) SO grey may become another offered color soon.

    13. Luts has been on a roll with the new bodies lately!

The Muse body does look quite nice and elegant so far. I'm glad to see the SDF guys finally getting some love! :D The most recent SDF boy body actually seems pretty nice (it even has double jointed knees!), but a slimmer silhouette in the shorter size could be lovely.

    14. Ooh, thats really exciting news! :) I’ve been hoping for a new SDF boy body for awhile now. All their newer bodies are quite nice and it will great for the SDF boys to be updated. Gray is always a fun resin option too!

    15. Does anyone have a SDF girl type 5 body? Can you confirm whether she has a torso joint or not? On the official pictures she seems to have one but here on the DOA wiki it says type 5 and 6 have none.
I eventually plan to get SDF Jean but I will not consider any body without a torso joint no matter how pretty it is.

    16. I believe 5 is the jointed torso and 6 is the single body. That’s what I asked for when I ordered through BJDivas and the order form showed body 5.

    17. @laquaza Yes, I have two SeniorDelf girls, both on the type 5 body, and they do indeed have the torso joint.:)

    18. Hello! Sorry to just pop in. I just received my "my choice" senior delf JuHee today from Denverdoll. She advertised with the type one body and I had a hard time finding measurements. I posted on the luts q&a board asking about them but haven't gotten a reply yet. And then to top it off, imagine my confusion when she shows up with not the type 1 body but the type 2 (i believe, double jointed elbow, no mobility joint at thigh). And those measurements aren't listed on luts either. So my question is, for those with the female type two body... what size clothes do you buy? Sd13, smart doll, super gem? I'm looking for sewing patterns.

    19. I don't own any female SDFs so far but you can finde measurements for all body types here. At least for my male SDF (type 1) they are accurate.

    20. @laquaza thank you, I did see the chart in the wiki. But I was looking for more than just the three measurements.

Edit: omg... nevermind. I feel stupid now... I'm on mobile. Just turned my phone on accident and saw the whole chart...
