1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Luts Senior Delf Discussion Part IV

Apr 26, 2016

    1. My Howl finally got a name. Meet Ramon :):

And I think I am finally happy with his wig. Now he just need more clothes. The shoes are actually made for Delfs but luckily they fit him too.

    2. Can anyone help me out? I got a Senior DELF boy but his fingers are all busted up and glued back on. But they're also spread out in a way that some of his shirts are impossible to get on. (I'm afraid to try taking his hands off because I don't know how brittle his hands are now that they're glued on.)

All hands on LUTS are sold out currently. Does anyone know how often they restock or become available again? ANd when they are, how fast is it for just ordering hands?

Are there other company hands that might fit him?

    3. I got kind of the same problem with my SDF Howl. His finger are spread out so much I have to take his hands off for some shirts and stop the string from popping back with some small object (like a dice). If you want something more elegant then Luts offers these "hand parts" for changing clothes.

They mentioned in a note that they have stopped taking any orders for parts because they got so many orders in. But luckily it's only temporarily

    4. Oooooh, that's handy (heh), thank you!

And very lucky, I hope to someday give him some nice jointed hands.

    5. Hiya.
I have a question for anyone who received the winter event head: What head circumference does he have? I'm still waiting on my order and would like to start looking ot my stock an order something if I don't have anything fitting :3

    6. Mine just arrived in Europe today. I will let you know once I receive it :). I do expect it to be on the bigger side as it is stated to fit SDF 65 and GSDF. As I mostly collect girls that might actually turn out to be a problem... Ah well I can always use a practice head.

    7. My dealer told me they got my doll in from August, then emailed me again to say it was the wrong order so who knows when I’m getting Niya. I am sad :(

    8. @laquaza oooh! Congrats! Crossing fingers for speedy and safe run through customs.
      I'm hoping for him to be a 8-9. :3

    9. I did a little video comparing the Luts SDF type 2 & 7 female bodies, if anyone's interested in the topic!

I would like to get a type 1 and a type 5 in the future, so maybe one day I can do a mega comparison video :chibi

    10. Thank you for this very informative video. I do want to get a SDF girl one day and this helped me decide against the type 7 body. Guess I will get a type 5 then :). The bust parts for some of the SDF girl bodies look absolutely ridiculous. I don't mind bigger bust sizes but I prefer them to look natural (like Iplehouse busts) instead of melons.

Also I love your outfit :love.

    11. Ahh, thank you! I'm really glad it was informative :) I spent the past couple of weeks looking up body reviews for a hybrid I'm planning, and seeing other people's video reviews was really helpful. I figured I should try to contribute my own info to the community!

    12. Hello, friends! I impulse bought a summer 2010 event head 1 on Facebook yesterday (eep!) and I was wondering if anyone had any pictures to share. I'm planning on making her a girl, but I'd also love pictures on boy bodies! I'm expecting she's going to need some restoration due to her age (I'm hoping to find a SDF body from 2010-2012 eventually to make the matching job easier), but I'm excited to have a bit of a "project" doll on my hands.

    13. @Thespian Heartfelt congratulations on your purchase! I only have the Kid Delf versions of Summery 10. I’m afraid I’m not familiar with the Senior Delf event head from that year.

    14. My boy came last week! I am just amazed at how great he is. My other Luts doll is a 1/6 size. He posses amazingly, and he doesn't flop a single ounce anywhere, I can sit him, pick him up sitting he stays that way. No matter how I position him, he holds it. I've never had a doll that posses so well! Not to mention... He Is Adorable!!! :love

    15. Oh that might be the one I have! I think it's technically JDF but I have mine on an SDF type 2 girl body so, on the occasion I actually post her, I usually post here.

I've probably posted this photo before, but it at least shows her on her body

She's not really smiling. I painted it on.

    16. I love the smile, it makes her look very mischievous!

    17. @Ruinscathedral ~ thanks so much for the great comparison video! I'm thinking of getting a SDF Jean and this really helped me.

I'm hoping that Luts will release a new SDF girl body that is as poseable as their newer bodies from all the other lines, but if not, the Type 2/3/4 body type is really beautiful. It does look very mature though -- I'm glad I ordered my Aru on the Delf body, she has such a baby face.

    18. Thank you for the picture! I love her faceup. I know the head itself is molded to be quite frowny/pouty, so it's neat to see it painted into a very different expression.

You're right in that it was originally designed for JDF, but I'm far more interested in SDF bodies to potentially put her on. That said, you just don't see that many of them around regardless of the body. I get the feeling they were never that popular with collectors, which is really too bad because it's such an interesting sculpt.

    19. I'm really glad you found it useful! How do you like the Delf body?
I'm starting to seriously consider switching out the Type 7 body for a Type 5 when Luts opens up orders for separate bodies again, the lack of double jointed elbows has become a bigger deal to me the more I photograph the doll that has it :'(

    20. yeah when I got Harley the JDF thread had already been dead for a while. I think it's recently come back...but still not lively.

She fits well on the body - a little gappy, because the head was intended to be a boy, but the proportions are good and I love her as a girl. I actually have two of them, so she can have an alternate faceup (inspired by the BOP movie)

I thought it would be hard to track down another WS one, but it sort of fell into my lap!
