Luts Senior Delf Discussion Part IV

Thank you so much for more pictures. The Wine head look much cooler irl, in owner pictures than on those on Luts's site. I think owner pictures capture much better a doll's character potential. Owner pictures also make it look like there is more life to the doll. Owner pictures are usually what makes me decide on a sculpt But yeah wish we could buy girl heads on boy bodies and vice versa, as you said.

The Wine head look great on that body, but I've been feeling more and more that for my non-human character I need Luts's smallest SD body for it. The Muse body look so nice but the size would be too close in size to my SDF65. My non-human character, it just fit them/ him to be smaller as the character will be a cheeky little human like creature.

I guess Maize would look good on any of the bodies. I'm getting Maize on the slender body because I have a SDF65 Sweety Bliss on the regular slim 65 body, and it does not fit my Bliss's character. Even though it's the slim version, it's still too muscular for him as he's too feminine looking for it. It look so wrong on him So I'm planning to switch their bodies at home, giving Bliss the slender body I'll order Maize with, and the one Bliss currently have and did not fit Bliss I'll give to Maize.

Maybe one day I'll get a Muse, but for now I'll just be focusing on Maize and what ever "My Choice" Delf I'll go for.

Yesterday my milky orange Irene arrived! I'm so so happy with her. She's the biggest doll I've ever owned so she's only got this fur coat on since it's all I had time to put on her

 

She look so cool in that color I know the color is called Milky Orange, but I'm wondering is it a bit orange or is it more skin tone like color?

I'm watching both my PC screen and TV screen. On my PC screen she's got a nice ligher color and on my TV screen she's very orange. I'd like either a SDF or a Delf in Milky Orange oneday but I've never seen the Milky Orange irl before.

 

@manabusama It's very very orange in person! It was hard to pick it in pictures. For some reason she was reading more tan skin in a lot of my photos which is no where near what she really looks like. This pantone color is probably the closest to her irl

OK, understand I know the problem with capturing the true colors in a picture. I had that problem with my Blue Skin Dollmore Kid. His color is so pretty irl, but any pictures I tried to take, it would not show.

I guess safest would be to order a Zuzu Delf in that color first if I decide to get another one, to see how I like the color. But I do like to create non-human BJD characters, so I'm sure I could come up with a SDF, Delf character in that color too.

 

@manabusama I think going with a Zuzu to test the color would be a good idea as anthros always tend to look good in fantasy colored resin, at least in my opinion

 

I whole heartedly agree! Besides, they’re cute and easily suited to experimentation. That’s harder on a large doll, even though I did go for it on my Lotus Kai (Luts Delf Ju Hee on a Senior Delf Type 5 girl body in lavender skin.) But that’s because the color was so obviously perfect for her character I couldn’t resist.

 

Yes, I think it would be best choosing an anthro in milky orange first. I currently have a real skin brown Persi and a Zuzu 26 Delf Velo in gray skin. But I have no idea which Zuzu I should go for in the milky orange. But even though I have not seen the color irl yet, I just can imagin a SDF or Delf would look pretty cool in it as well.

I agree, she does look great in that color, it fit well with her colorful outfit I know from experience myself that human dolls look great in different kinds of grey colors. I have an Iplehouse JID Joshua and Dollzone Carter in gray skin. They are some kind of non-human, immortal beings from the other side as I call it. Carter currently look like a "Homestuck" character with his yellow like horns.

Hii, I was wondering if anyone has experience changing the legs of Luts' SDF female type 2-4 legs? I fiddled with them for ages but I can't seem to get the larger hook to slip out, and I don't know if it's just that I'm INCREDIBLY weak, or if there's a trick, or if I'm doing something very wrong? Even when I get the hook all the way on the bottom side, the hook has no room to be scooped out.

 

When I bought my first large doll (SDF Howl) the seller was so kind to include a Luts summer event head from 2012. I bought her a Little Monica Harmony body and she was cute but I never really knew what to do with her. The cute girl next door style wasn't really working. But I just received my Luts wigs and clothes haul from their latest sale and boom she's found her style . She even told me her name: Murielle.

@laquaza Wow! What a difference a new styling can make! That wig truly makes all the difference. That’s the beauty of BJDs…the smallest change can suddenly bring them to life, and it’s wonderful to see the transformation of this event head.

So excited to have my SDF Flora home (along with her twin a SDF65 Diez)! She recently had a faceup from Rianne/komorebidolls and I couldn’t be happier. Finally getting my girl together after her being naked for two years, lmao!

 

@sovayne What a wonderful pair! They both have tremendous character and those rabbit ears have long been a favorite of mine. I love their coloring, and the coloring of those wigs are the perfect compliment.

 

Does anyone here happen to know if Luts is still charging an extra shipping fee? I know the last time I ordered from them I had to pay on top of what I already paid for shipping.
