Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.       His eyes are pretty, aren't they? So is the outfit. It even comes with the little "rag doll". :D

      LilyKitten: Thanks, though, I wanted you to get one so we could be Shiwooed together. We've been hunting buddies the whole time and I feel bad that you didn't catch yours. :(

    3. Well... clinging onto the hope it WAS a staggered release... There's one unaccounted for, after all. But hey, if i miss out I miss out.

      Luts has received a scathing email in the most guilt inducing prose I could possibly manage (I actually took time off work to be home at 1pm, and my teacher friend sacrificed her lunch hour as well.) I wouldn't have minded if i had missed out and he'd been released on time... But the delay, the lack of news, the Chinese release.... It just wasn't on... especially after actually defending them as a decent company.

      I had the thought of dye tanning a Shiwoo back in the day, and then they release a real tan Shiwoo. XD

    9. I totally refuse to accept it was a glitch, oh, how I wish LillyKitten and Saralena (and of course everyone else) had gotten him too (yes, yes, I know the math for my wish makes no sense), because they were right there and...life isn't fair. I do hope they wait with us! :sweat

      But Shiwoos, they are devious and sneaky! I will definitely hold the box with both hands upon arrival--I may warn the post office! Assuming I have a box, stupid Luts mark me paid! :o

    10. I'm with you on that one heidipay! I may have to take the whole day off work when he arrives.

      I keep checking Luts (and my email), even though I know they aren't technically "open" right now, just to make sure I don't have a cancelled order or something. The amount has already been charged to my credit card though so maybe that's good.

    17. Oh yay! Someone else who has a tanned Shiwoo. He's gorgeous, isn't he? Having him is one of the reasons I'm allowing myself to be okay with not getting the mini version. Of course my boy has elf ears added, so that makes him even more special.

      I demand box opening pictures as well!

    18. Luts palm off the question about th late release with everyone's stock standard brush off answer "Unexpected system failure" Uh-huh. Unless the WHOLE SYSTEM went down, which takes the site down too, their back up system should have taken over. Any forward thinking, responsible, well maintained company has a back up system, a few if they're big- you know, the kind of company that deals in highly collectable items that mean a lot of heavy traffic on their sites at specific times. Any company that has specific dates when certain things have to be put up due to a promis made to their highly rabid collector fanbase. I mean that's what any well organized clear thinkin.... oh.

      No, no box opening thread. I picked him up later yesterday and had to go to dinner with my best friend (she just got her Blackbelt and it was a little celebration dinner) and I could either WAIT and do a box opening, or open him all at once then and there, wrap him up and show him off. (she's not a doll person but she likes to see them) so I chose the latter.

      He is a beautiful one. He may have missed on having a little mini-me of himself, but he arrived at the right time. i honestly seriously considred selling my whole Shiwoo collection- I'm one of those odd people that need a complete collection or no collection at all, several grand of Lion King stuff that I collected in my teens was sold off for that reason, and the same amount in little toys called Sylvanians that I collected when i was little... I couldn't finish the sets due to super rare items and that tiny hole in the collection annoyed me enough I had to sell the lot. (I could never collect antiques XD)

      But one thing I am MORE passionate about than my odd complete or bust compulsion is character design. I live it, I breath it, I have since long before I even knew what the term meant. I have certificates for it, I've been employed to do it for people before and if it was possible to get a full time job doing nothing but that, my life would be bliss.
      Faustus saved my collection by being so very beautiful and coming with his character firmly implanted. He looked at me from the box (he came with eyes XD) and said "You KNOW I'm beautiful. You KNOW you can't have this character with any other doll.... Don't worry, I'll extract payment out of the other Shiwoos for saving their arses later."

      Geeze, know it's a slow morning at work when you start writing essay replies to stuff...

    19. LOLOL! Oh LillyKitten! Let me assure you now, both companies and computers/web sites can and do totally thwart people on a regular basis. It's funny, I almost would believe they lost access to do updates or a password was changed or a service account got deleted...if they're a hosted site, which quite possibly they are, it could be as simple as a sever update taking place unexpectedly putting off their plans. :doh Computers, they are not our friends!

      And backups? Do not get me started. No one does backups, I really believe this. And if they have backups, they aren't testing their backups. :|

      But enough about IRL! Your boy came, I'm thrilled! I was so sad to hear the almost-fate of your Shiwoos, but Faustus has saved them, I'm quite excited for you!!! :D

    20. I still demand pictures. You're gonna have to spam him eventually. :lol: I know what you mean about collect or bust. Although I don't exactly sell off a collection because of it, I do feel like I need to "collect 'em all" as it were, but fortunately I have weird ideas for what constitutes a full collection. Although I must say, getting this boy would have ben a wonderful edition to my Shiwoo collection (I probably will never actually get a regular Shiwoo; I like the weird ones).
