Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Man Parts - How Important Are They?

Feb 22, 2012

    1. I posted in here before, but now that I'm completely decided on the man-doll I'm getting, I think I can do a more informed post as far as the importance of the penis' sculpting.

I think that it's not entirely important to me, the size or the extreme realism. . . but it is very important that the entire doll look proportionate and the like. Also, the detail of the rest of the body needs to at least look good with the detail of the genitals. That doesn't mean it needs to be extra realistic and all that, just that there needs to be an aesthetic flow to the lines and look of the body. I decided on Iplehouse due more to the vein detailing in the arms and lower torso than any other parts (aside from the face) but I'd have to say I'm pretty happy with how that area looks on him. It's not embarrassing one way or another, it just is what it is and flows well with the rest of the body.

    2. 1. In regards to male BJDs, how important to you is the manhood sculpting?
It's kind of important to me ,I would bother me a little to see a doll with to much detailes on his man parts or one that looks like a Ken doll, I like something in the miidle of those.

      2. Does it upset you when the BJD company or forum members censor the man parts when posting pictures of male BJD sculpts?

Members,no , Doll companies, yes, I want to know what I'm getting for my money.

      3. Have you ever purchased or decided not to purchase a male BJD sculpt after you saw his man parts?
      No

    3. This thread is amusing! I have had some laughs from what people have said. I really enjoyed the fridge magnets comment. It would really be a topic for conversation. I only have female bjds at present, but when I get a male, his genitals should at least look like genitals.

    4. 1. In regards to male BJDs, how important to you is the manhood sculpting?

I think is still important. If my doll havn't a manhood, I just can't define is gender. If my doll have any characteristics like a name or an history, is important to that have a gender. And without this part, I can't represente like a boy.

      2. Does it upset you when the BJD company or forum members censor the man parts when posting pictures of male BJD sculpts?

Not really XD. Is just a resin sculptur for me. Michel Ange's David does'nt upset me haha XD
      I don't care about that.

      3. Have you ever purchased or decided not to purchase a male BJD sculpt after you saw his man parts?

This isn't what I look mainly. Poor boy, it still must have a minimum XD

    5. Fun thread to read! Though I'm indifferent to the sculpting detail on my guys' genitalia (lots of tic-tacs here =) or whether or not I see pix thereof, I've been, um, impressed by the detail on some of my roomie's dolls. (Especially Monzo.) I can't help being reminded of a message posted on DoA once by someone who had contacted a doll company - I wish I remembered which one - asking if a bigger penis couldn't be made an option, and their embarrassed reply that a doll like that wouldn't be able to wear pants or even sit down =)=)

    6. 1. In regards to male BJDs, how important to you is the manhood sculpting?
For me it is very important. I like my males to look the part. :I

      2. Does it upset you when the BJD company or forum members censor the man parts when posting pictures of male BJD sculpts?
A little, yes. I have no problem with dollie nudity. It just seems silly to blur/ black out something that doesn't even look very realistic.

      3. Have you ever purchased or decided not to purchase a male BJD sculpt after you saw his man parts?
Kind of. ^_^"" I'll be honest and say I'll be super excited when I get a chance to buy a doll from DragonDoll since they have the different levels of "excitement" with their mature bodies. As for not buying one because of the male parts, it probably won't happen unless it's horribly misshapen. XD

    7. 1. In regards to male BJDs, how important to you is the manhood sculpting? Not important at all, my boys always wear pants! lol. If it was there or not he would still be a boy because that's what I made him to be! ;)

      2. Does it upset you when the BJD company or forum members censor the man parts when posting pictures of male BJD sculpts?
Not at all! Some people feel awkward showing their dolls privates. They deserve some privacy just like people do right? lol! It's fine though, it's awkward when you're looking at a nude doll and someone walks in the room. If all they see is a 'smiley face' then I can imagine there is less to explain.

      3. Have you ever purchased or decided not to purchase a male BJD sculpt after you saw his man parts? Im more of a Face girl my self! lol.

    8. I care more about whether his pants fit and how easy/hard it is to make him sit down than how he looks naked.

    9. 1. In regards to male BJDs, how important to you is the manhood sculpting?

For me it comes down to practicality, and for that reason I have a dragon doll with the uncle body. Three different types of man bits and they are magnetic so if a particular pair of pants needs less then I can remove them all together. As for the shape, I personally think that it is best I have seen detail wise and for artistic nude I really enjoy the variety in sculpt.

The only down side is the magnetic part, I do not take them with me, as I do not want to lose them or I have them in a bag ect, but if I was going to a meet or something I would not take them as they would be to easy to lose. Though I also had the normal one on and it actually kept to the pants rather well.

      2. Does it upset you when the BJD company or forum members censor the man parts when posting pictures of male BJD sculpts?

For companies yes I do not feel they should censor any bits as I want a good idea of what I am buying. When it comes to forums I feel it should be more optional to censor or not sensor as it comes down to peoples personal pref.

      3. Have you ever purchased or decided not to purchase a male BJD sculpt after you saw his man parts?

      Yes actually my Dragon doll

    10. I got my Spiritdoll Proud body for a similar reason, silveroccultist. Have you tried putting tight underwear on your DD boy? It works for Tatsuha's man bits to keep them in his pants. ;) And in his skinny jeans, they fill them out really nice! :nosebleed

    11. I'm probably going to be the only one on here to say I don't like penis parts on male dolls at all.:XD: From a purely aesthetic standpoint, mind you. It was actually one of the reasons I couldn't bond with the only boy doll I ever owned.:/

So, male doll bits are a significant consideration for me. The more realistic they are, the less I find I like the body mold.

    12. Actually just made him a pair of skinny jeans that hold his bits nicely. But I normally only put him in boxers... not too good at making manties yet... >.>

    13. I have to say if they didn't have man bits, I would never have had some of the most amazing and amusing conversations over the years. I can't say it's entirely a necessity for me, but the conversations alone make it worth it.

    14. Well I have ordered a Gang boy that I am waiting for. I didn't have much chance to examine his manly bits to see if they are realistic or not, and I don't know anyone with male dolls, so it is a "wait and see" thing. Actually, I would like owners to post pics of the manly bits so we can see what we are buying. Maybe have a special thread where you need a code to get in like one of the other doll forums have.

    15. Honestly...I don't really care about the man parts. When I'm looking at a doll contemplating on buying it I look at the whole body and really just don't mind that much when it comes to what's hanging below the belt.

My first SD will probably be a guy and he'll probably be photographed being kicked in his acrylics if you catch my drift...

Jokes aside I do look at every aspect but most importantly I look at what I'm going to be photographing the most.

Not the penis. The face. And the joints and if I have to look at it I make it quick. It's not that I'm awkward about it as a girl I don't like seeing it prominated. Trust me things slip by me a lot. I am glad someone mentioned the Dragon Doll uncle as an option if you want a guy with parts....

BTW anyone who has the guts to put those on their fridge for a few days gets cookies.

Back to the matter at hand I just don't really care....I mean if it helps the pants sit on those hips then yay. But I'm a girl who's got no current interest in relationships past friendships at sixteen. I think my doll's package is a minor detail compared to the face, joints, hands, feet and hips along with the shape of the eyes, the nose and the mouth.

      The penis?

It's just gonna be another thing my dad is gonna make fun of. So I'll enjoy making fun of it when I get my doll....

    16. I've not yet purchased a doll of the male persuasion, so the following opinions are simply conjecture...

As long as I am not purchasing the doll as a sex partner or to teach someone sexual anatomy/physiology, his package could consist of an appropriately sized and shaped bump for all I care. I probably would not dress a BJD in super form-fitting clothing for the simple reason that it would be such a time-consuming struggle, so the presence or absence of a detailed package would be an inconsequential issue for me.

As far as censoring the naughty bits in pics of dolls goes, I find this humorously absurd. Might as well censor Michaelangelo's David's yummy parts; it's not a human being, for heaven's sake!

    17. To me the male parts dont bother me on how big or small they are. Though i see your point. Some "mature" molds are kinda small. ^^" I mean i want them to be there on a male mold but i think id have him dressed almost 100% of the time so you wouldnt see it anyway?

    18. Give me my cookies. I've done it with Tatsuha's Proud optional boy bits and have pics to prove it. :kitty1 >; P

    19. Awesome topic idea!

      1. In regards to male BJDs, how important to you is the manhood sculpting?

I think something should be there, what it looks like is not too important. For me, his 'part' will be in pants so there's no need to make too much of a deal about it. I think blushing can really help change something that doesn't look pleasing.

      2. Does it upset you when the BJD company or forum members censor the man parts when posting pictures of male BJD sculpts?

Company: yes. Simply because I want to see what I'm buying, and his manhood is part of him. Member: no, kinda. Certain image hosting sites will delete so I understand when parts need to be discreet. If it's a modesty issue well then it, to me, feels a little silly. It's a doll's junk, we probably have all seen it on our own dolls. Maybe if the censor was done artistically then that's fine...

      3. Have you ever purchased or decided not to purchase a male BJD sculpt after you saw his man parts?

Not really. The best I can say on this is that I want a DragonDoll Uncle body; it comes with three manhood parts. Mostly it's made me curious but its the resin match I want from the body.

    20. In regards to male BJDs, how important to you is the manhood sculpting? Not terribly much. It's kind of funny that they're anatomically correct, but since I'm used to more or less genderless dolls and action figures all my life it doesn't really matter to me that much, especially since they're clothed all the time anyway.

Does it upset you when the BJD company or forum members censor the man parts when posting pictures of male BJD sculpts? Like with any censorship of any representation of the human body, I find it silly and ridiculous. I don't understand the shame of it. Especially when you're the company that decided to make a doll that way. But hey, I'm not in charge of advertising and quite a lot of people do get upset at the sight of doll wang.

Have you ever purchased or decided not to purchase a male BJD sculpt after you saw his man parts? Nope. I've come to accept that as part of the design of BJDs, and I'm not terribly picky about the way that they look on each individual doll, again, because they're clothed 99.9% of the time anyway.
