Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases.       I'm so in love with my girl though, she is beautiful! Marti sent her with very thin and loose stringing, I'm definitely replacing that with thicker ones. But other than that she's perfect! :aheartbea

    11. Thank you so much marti! :blush I received my event head (Palageya Anushka) today, she is so cute!! :fangirl: Now she needs a body of her own, does anyone know a good resin match to MP dolls? My favourite was the Spiritdoll Elegance body but unfortunately it is much too bulky. My second choice would be an Angell Studio 58cm body, what does everyone think?

    12. I have some Dollstown paleskin and it's not a bad match. I'm not as picky as some about resin matches -- but the Dollstown fresh skin is too dark. (would be easy to blush the head to work with it tho, and it does have a bit of pink in it). I think the Dollstown elf body is just a lovely little body, so graceful and poses so well. Easy to sew for. Kind of a pain to shop for but. . . I'm surprised the Spiritdoll elegance body is too bulky.

    13. Thank you for your input! I've always admired the Dollstown bodies but I'm not so sure if the lack of an upper torso joint wouldn't bother me too much...Oh and I don't actually have a Spiritdoll Elegance body, I just compared the measurements with the marti body and thought the head would look too small on it. The biggest difference would be the neck size, marti's is 8cm and Spiritdoll's is 9.5cm.
      But I've never done a hybrid before, do you think it would work anyway?
      If anyone's interested, I put up a few box opening pictures of my new Palageya head on my Flickr. :)

    14. Zomboid, the head might look odd on the body, with that much of a neck difference. But you never know - you might be able to sand the Marti head open enough to fit. You might wind up with a body you can't use. . ..I've personally found that much more than 1cm difference becomes a bit problematic, aesthetically, either way. Something comparable to Spiritdoll with a smaller neck might be the Impldoll model body.

      I'll put my Babette on some of my bodies later today and shoot some photos . .. I have one body with a stated 9.5cm neck to test the Spiritdoll sizing problem. . . . you'll have to settle for dressed photos tho. I'll post a link when I get them done.

      And despite the upper torso joint, the Dollstown elf body is a really nice poser (I know, surprised me too) . . .the lower joint and legs are designed in such a way that she sits very nicely and does a wonderful kneeling pose.

Thank you so much!! :aheartbea:abow: How weird, I was thinking about the Spiritdoll normal skin that would match the marti resin, but in your pictures the Spiritdoll white skin looks more similar. But it's okay because as soon as you put up the comparison pictures, marti sent me a pm saying that I could buy a seperate body from her! :sweat:doh But your thread is not useless, I will contribute some pictures of a Babette head on a Souldoll Double body soon, because once blushed, the match was absolutely amazing! :? Which is weird because as you said, the marti resin is very creamy pale and the Souldoll normal skin is very pink. But I guess the marti resin does pick up pastels very well.

    18. I would really say the marti resin is a white skin. It's a very nice white skin, a little on the buttery side. If I'm getting a head, I like white skin because it's so much easier to blush it darker. . . I'll have to check out that Souldoll hybrid; I have a Souldoll MSD body and I really like it. ... I have Spiritdoll normal and you could make it work, but the Spiritdoll normal is definitely darker. Spiritdoll white is a better match.

    19. Okay I have another question to all marti owners: Do your girls stand? I have problems posing my girl, she wants to buckle at the knees constantly and doesn't stand at all. :( She came strung very loosely with very thin elastic, so I restrung her with normal SD elastic but that didn't really help. The problem is, she has very small 'openings' in her limbs for the elastic to go through so I thought maybe the thicker elastic couldn't go smoothly through her. So I restrung her again with the thinner strings and thighten them a lot, but the problem with her knees remains.
      Maybe hot glue sueding would help? I'd love to hear from you guys, if you had the same problems or if you have advice for me. :)

    20. I don't have problem with posing my dolls, I do it with every doll I ship. But maybe it's because I know them well. Hot glue should fix the problem, also try to string her rather tight. Please let me know if it won't help :)

      I hope that the new knee design will fix this problem
