1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Maskcat 57cm Dolls - part 2

May 2, 2017

    1. That's not too bad. Thanks for posting. I was looking at the new Dollstown Vision body but I think the Maskcat head is too big for that...

    2. Hi everyone, I have a quick question. For some reason in the back of my head, I was thinking MaskCat had free shipping on full dolls when ordering directly from the website. I can't see anything to back up that idea (and I'm not really sure why I thought it in the first place?) but could anyone confirm or deny that? Maybe I'm incorrectly remembering an old event or something...

    3. Quick question....typically how long is the wait for a doll? I read back a bit and it seems typical wait is 2ish months? Thanks!

    4. @Tsukiyono Yes the wait is two months. That's what I waited for both my Lisette. (It was longer for my Xilv but she was a fullset)

@Lotte Rotten Thank you for opening a database!

    5. @Tsukiyono I ordered my Maskcatdoll (un-painted msd girl) on April 9th this year- and she arrived on June 30th. So the wait was 2 ½ month.

@Follow-the-Wind You're welcome- and thanks for posting in the Database :kitty1

    6. Awesome thank you both! Now I know if I decide to spring and order a Margo that it won't interfere with a future vacation. :)

    7. Just got my Xilv head <3 She is on point!

My only complain is that the inside of the box smells like s..t. It smells so bad the head was affected as well. Now the smell is gone from the head, but the box is still conpromised. Is anything I can do?

    8. If you have a garage leave the open box out there to air out.

    9. Or put cat litter in a freezer bag, put that in the box and leave it in there for a bit. You can get pretty much any smell out of anything with cat litter (we de-stunk a bunch of old toys and non-washable doll clothes from the basement with that trick).

    10. I've used fresh coffee grounds in the same way before to deodorize clothes that came from a smoker. Good to know the cat litter trick. I'll have to try it next time.

    11. Soooo I've accidentally bought a Lisette head after having her on my wishlist for ages. I was planning on buying her a Maskcat body, but I'm wondering if anyone has a different body that they like for hybriding?

    12. Heh, heh..."accidentally"...yep, done that before...this year in fact....I'm with you on the body. I'm not that sold on it.

    13. The body is pretty close to what I had in mind for her, but I'm a little worried about her hip/leg joints being too wobbly. I'll probably try her out on the bodies I do have in house and see if anything jumps out at me.

    14. I find the maskcat body to be very stable and less kicky than the dollstown 13 yo body which is a similar height.
I don't think the hip/leg joints are at all wobbly.

    15. @whitebread Like Xiaoli, I find Maskcat hip joints are not woobly at all.
On my body, the ankles are woobly, but I've read that this problem has been fixed on the current body.

BTW I've took new pictures of my Lisette! Here is one:

    16. Thank you for the reassurance @Xiaoli and @Follow-the-Wind ! I'd love to have her on a SDGr body, but maybe I'll wait and see if a Maskcat body turns up on the marketplace. :)

    17. @Follow-the-Wind she is amazing!

Thanks to an awesome friend, I received a Bruna head as a late birthday present! The box I got smells horrible too:ablah: Maybe its the glue?
Shes on the older BeYours body with Impldoll hands.
