1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Maskcat 57cm Dolls - part 2

May 2, 2017

    1. Can anyone who already own a Maskcat girl confirm that she's 57cm with a head? Someone had mentioned that she's shorter than that. Also, if possible, I'd love to know the measurement from the top of the shoulder down to the ground (like here for the Elf body it is 42cm) https://www.flickr.com/photos/rabid-rabbit/21879172481/.

      Thank you so much!

    2. I measured using tape...Juni at 57cm. Measurement from top of shoulder to ground I got 46cm. I can measure tomorrow with a measuring stick. Might be more accurate.

    3. @Dunpeald Congratulations! I have been getting clothes for Volks SD fit well. Did you order direct from Maskcat?

    4. @Oliveoil - Thank you so much! That's very helpful! I was just curious because sometimes company measurements don't quite match up with the real measurements and they look so dainty in photos.

    9. Hi guys! I'm going to start buying things for my Bruna this week, and I was wondering what the iris size is for the free 14mm eyes that Maskcat sends with their dolls?

    11. It's me again with another question!

So I'm torn between the beautiful paper white skin and the "normal" skin option. Can anyone tell me how light the normal skin is? Ideally I'd love something very pale (not as dark pink as Fairyland normal). I have examples of Bimong Classic, Bimong Pink-White, Dollshe Fresh (old less pink version), Resinsoul Normal, Doll Legend Normal Pink, and Argodoll Pink.

      Thank you so much!

@Dunpleald - how cool that you can knit for your dolls! I can't help with the measurement (since I don't own as Maskcat doll yet) but I hope someone will answer you soon.

    12. You can find resin comparison photos on Instagram, in @pretty_in_plastic's saved stories. They have a bunch of different brands shown.

    13. Here is a comparison to dollzone.
There do not appear to be any comparisons with FL resin.

    14. Thank you @Ara.dox and @sammu! I didn't see those comparisons before. They are helpful! I don't own any of the resin compared, so it's not a perfect idea of the color "in person" from my current pieces of resin, but it still gives me a better idea. One picture compared the Normal Pink with Dollmore Pink, which I believe is rather pale, so that was useful.

    17. I can't take pictures right now, but I have both Maskcat (2020), Fairyland (2018) and Dollzone (2020). Maskcat normal is definitely more pale than Fairyland normal. It is closer to Dollzone normal pink, whitch is really pale.

    18. Thank you @Pufik! That really helps! I'd rather go for the pink since white tends to age less well, but for the character I wanted it to be light.

    19. Has anyone with a tan Maskcat doll ever sanded the resin? I've been repainting my Ronia and have noticed some uneven areas on her face that I would like to smooth out, but I'm a bit nervous about causing some colour variation.

    20. @kuro I don't have a tan Maskcat doll, but I do I have tan Miracle doll head that had some uneven spots after I cleaned off a face up I did with some acetone. The face looked a bit whitish afterwards. So, what I did was take a melamine sponge and rubbed it all over the face, which got rid of the whiteness and evened the color back out. You could do a test on the headcap.
