I made a track suit for Quaneia - she's my trendiest girl at the moment

The others also have their own general lewks, but Quan's is more Fashion Nova / Athletic leaning.

I've always been in love with Maskcatdoll's sculpt and I think it is finally time to look into it.
However I am wondering do they offer layaway? I don't see it listed on their site. Is this something they allow?

Otherwise I'm going to have to patient for a little while longer

Maskcat doesn't offer layaway directly, as far as I know. However! Alice's Collections is a dealer for them, and they DO offer layaway.

 

I remember that Maskcat offer a very short layaway (2 months, half and half). If you click on "buy now", you are redirected to the selling website and all options offered by the company are there. But as @GammaVector said, dealers will probably offer longer layaways if required.

Which sculpt have you chosen, if I may ask?^^

 

Well I'm a bit conflicted. I have a MDR Ophelia head in need of a body so I'm thinking he could use the body but I'm not 100% whether it'll work for him. (I want him to look softer and so most male small sd bodies are ripped and very 'manly' looking)
But since I'm not sure if I'll like him on the body I might as well go for one of the heads and see how that goes. Since Maskcat is not *that* expensive I can always get another body later. The sculpt I'm considering is Astrid. I love her intense face. I love Xilv as well but she's no longer available sadly. I still remember the days when they only had Xilv and Ruolan. I love them as well but yeah no longer available so it would probably be Astrid.

Edit: I also really love Frances. I love too many of them.

 

@AllyCat : I totally understand your dilemna. XD I got Yaël for my first in NS and I have an Astrid in the works in WS. But I also love Frances and Margo, though I don't have space anymore. (Though perhaps I could get just the heads and put them on busts? To be debated. XD)

 

Oh yeah I know the feeling. Maybe just get the heads and get the bodies once you do have space?

 

@AllyCat : In addition to really not having more space, I kind of have a self-imposed rule of not getting 2 of the same bodies if they are the same colors. (I don't want Frances and Margo in tan, but rather in NS and WS respectively). So should I ever decide to get the heads, I suppose my Yaël and my Astrid will have to share bodies. XD

 

That makes sense. I like my dolls to be a diverse bunch as well. I might only get the maskcatdoll body if I'm not sure about the head. See where that takes me. I don't really have a character for the maskcatdoll head anyway so there is no hurry.

 

Well looking at the site right now, comparing prices it almost seems stupid not to just add the head. On Alice's collection you need to buy over 50 dollars of accessories to have free shipping but shipping with Maskcatdoll is 65 dollar so ... not really free shipping unless you need to also get accessories but that means more in taxes (I'm in EU)

So I might as well just get a head really... It's only a little bit more.

 

@AllyCat - Someone on Instagram has an Ophelia head on a Maskcatdoll body and it looks like a beautiful match!

I would definitely try this if I had an Ophelia (sadly, I don't! I wish they were not discontinued!).

I'm considering Maskcat, too, but I'm currently torn between NS and WS. So far I'm most interested in Margo and Juni (although there are such few owner photos of her that it's hard to see how she looks in different styling). But Astrid, Frances, Yael, and all the rest are gorgeous too!

 

Yeah! I actually missed out on the original preorder as well. I was lucky to find one secondhand. (-way more expensive though bleh-)
I know the person with the Maskcatdoll- MDR hybrid. I asked them about it They were the one to give me the idea. I am hoping to find a body secondhand in EU but won't count on it. .>.<

 

Ah, I see! I hope you can find a Maskcatdoll body in the EU - shipping is kind of nerve-wracking these days for sure.

 

@AllyCat Alice’s used DHL or EMS before and I always had to pick up my dolls from customs. My latest two SDs were shipped via FedEx and FedEx has this customs clearance service, so they arrived very quickly and I received an invoice from FedEx a week later. I didn’t have to show any payment or invoice proof. They made it with the amount, which Alice’s declared and it was both times less than 25€. Shipping is 20$ at Alice’s. Ask them, if they can ship FedEx to Belgium. They know about the customs in EU and will definitely try to help you and find the best solution.

I'm probably going to sit on the idea for a little while before committing to it. But this definitely helps. If only customs weren't a thing...
