Maskcat 57cm Dolls - part 2

Hello! im new here! . My first maskcat is also Juni-- I find that not many people go for her but in my opinion she's the most distinctive looking doll and after, Yael. Juni has such strong yet, soft expression I LOVE THAT DOLL!

 

I love Juni too. She is my favorite!

 

I have also ordered Yael and Astrid. I like all Maskcat but for me, these 3 are less like children. Plus, their melancholic and sad faces is so cute and different !

 

My Juni has been blank for months, but I love the sculpting of her face, so I'm not in a hurry to get a faceup for her! I'm actually contemplating ordering another Juni head I can mod to having sleeping eyes (I am such a fan of closed-eyed heads).

But I also am getting quite attached to Agnes. I wasn't very interested at first, but the more photos I see the more I like the shape of her eyes and mouth. I think she would be really lovely in tan skin! And I think she would look very nice with Juni.

 

A “sleeping Juni” would be so adorable !!! ❤️ I named mine Giovanna I find Agnes so so sad! Almost as if she’s about to cry! but perhaps that’s one of her appeals. Like some,I don’t seem to go crazy about Frances or Fleur - they are adorable but look very childlike. Saying that, I’m on my 3 dolls from maskcat !

 

Giovanna is a gorgeous name! I haven't decided on a name for mine yet! She might be a character I've been working on, who is based on a porcelain doll I had as a child (I thought she was the most beautiful doll ever).

In that case her name is Tatiana with the nick-name Tanya. But since I haven't settled on a wig, eyes, or faceup yet, she might end up as someone else. I don't mind the journey of discovery though!

Agnes does look a bit sad, but I like a melancholic or wistful air, so it does add to her appeal for me at least.

I do like Frances and Fleur, but I think Juni has the perfect head size and knowing that Fleur's head is a little bit smaller puts me off her a bit. All the sculpts are beautiful, though, and I enjoy looking at photos of any of them.

 

Thank you! I named her Giovanna because slightly resembles JUNI - I Love the maskcat doll in general! They are so well made! When. I first got mine I was surprised how heavy and big they are! And the box!
Its fleur face smaller? I thought her face was pretty round.

 

Does anyone that owns a Maskcat doll here also own some Iplehouse EIDs? I have an EID Pamela and Douglas that I'm thinking about possibly giving a child after I saw Frances. She's super cute and the whole aesthetic they went with gives Victorian vibes which is the era my Pamela and Douglas's characters are based in. I would love to see some height/proportion comparisons if possible.

I have a Doll Leaves Vanessa who is pretty close to Frances measurement wise that I used for comparison so I think it will work, but her head is way rounder than my EIDs (with smaller facial features) and she has a far more mature body type. I would love to have Frances as a teen for them if possible (somewhere in the 13-15 ish age range). I just need to see head shape/body proportion and height comparisons.

Maskcat willow owners want to share photos? I'm curious to see how you customize your dolls, I haven't seen many willow dolls online yet. Mine is at the spa, but when it arrives I'll share some pictures

Edit: She didn't have any Iplehouse dolls unfortunately. I also cannot find anything on youtube for Maskcat size comparisons or people that also have Iplehouse dolls

 

oh I see... you wanted specific Iplehouse...hmmm...yes there's not enough maskcat videos. You can always look up at measurements but nothing can tell you best as having the real thing side by side. Anyways, I am planing to mix 3 maskcats with a impldoll and a supia doll. in my visualisation, they can go together... iplehosue dolls look very realistic in my opinion and like, less "dolly"?

Yes, sorry if I wasn't clear before. It just helps to see them together since proportions and head size vary in SDs depending on the company. Maskcats aesthetic looks like it would work perfectly as a preteen (12-13) to early teenage child (up to around maybe 14-15) for Iplehouse parents. This body would come up to around shoulder height on an EID woman body and the head size is just slightly smaller than an EID woman as well. The Iplehouse nYID bodies are too voluptuous for the age and innocent vibe I want.

Hi!! Does anyone know if Volks shoes fit Maskcat 57cm body?? Maskcat feet are 2mm longer than Volks so I don’t really want to pay to try before knowing

 

I've purchased shoes made to fit Volks SD size before (the maker specified they were meant for them) and they fit beautifully, but I don't know if that helps! They weren't officially Volks shoes.

Flat feet! They were flats (Mary Jane style). They listed the measurements as:

"All the Sd16, SD, MSD and YOSD shoes are made in Volks doll size, we are not responsible for any sizing problem for other brand’s doll"

I am very picky about fit, and these are the best shoes among the ones I've purchased. The silhouette is nicely slim against the foot and they can fit with and without socks (these socks are pretty thin).
