It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Maskcat 57cm Dolls - part 2

May 2, 2017

    1. I haven't had any problems dressing my Frances. Smart Doll clothes fit great, though to be fair, all mine are knits. In general, anything that says Sd13 fits, even if it's sd10-sd13-sd16 sized.
Frances was wearing a flowery knit dress with a long, wavy wig, and I thought she looked like a 70's flower child, late teens to early twenties. Maybe her serious expression makes her look older.

    3. Congratulations! She's lovely! Maskcat doll has been my first experience with SD bjd and I find myself resisting other makers because their quality is so amazing! What made you choose Agnes? :)

    4. I like her face. She looks a bit grumpy and moody. I like dolls that have a bit of expression to them. :D.

    7. I hope you get a cute kitty sticker in yours too. I got one. :D.

    8. its a lovely heavy box and the first doll I received, the box had this nice smell about it. :) Although I like the older style box, which was fabric covered instead of faux leather. Yet is the only doll maker I know to put such a luxurious touch in packaging and I really like that!

    9. do you know about shoes? a lot of SD shoes are listed as around 8 cm long but maskcat measurements say foot length is 6.7 cm which is closer to most MSD sizes.

    10. this was supposed to be a reply to a comment about clothes, whoops!

    11. @ava_bjd : I got incredibly excited thinking I could get some of those beautiful Minifee boots (pretty much everything is made for Minifee these days isn't it?), but it's for a foot that is at least a centimeter shorter. XD It may be useful to note that a lot of shoes have some kind of "toe". The whole foot doesn't fit in the toe, and it's not meant to. Just like real pointy dress shoes I guess? But the toe may be measured as well. If the foot is a bit to small for the shoe, I would stuff some cotton or spare fabric pieces to get a better grip (just like in real life hehe).

But if anyone has success with MSD shoes, please let me know how you did it! I would love to get some of those gorgeous Minifee shoes for my girls!

    12. Well, I have a Maskcat Juni and pairs of Minifee flat and heel feet (no actual Minifee, just the feet lol) and I don't see how shoes made for Minifee could ever fit Maskcatdoll unless someone REALLY got the sizes wrong whilst making the shoes.

Which is too bad! There are a lot of pretty shoes made for Minifee.

I also have some shoes made from standard MSD size and they don't fit either. They are closer, but too small.

But I've found that most shoes in the SD13-ish range fit beautifully. Most of the shoes I've purchased with a supposed 7cm inner length look great. I think SD16 might need some toe-box-stuffing, but I don't have any of them, so I can't say for sure.

I know I've posted this before, but here is a link to the shoes I've tried (it includes links for purchasing where possible):

My favorites in terms of perfect fit are the white/black/pink silk Mary Jane shoes and the floral Oxford shoes from Alice's Collections.

      I hope this helps!

    13. In case it could be of interest: Maskcat flat feet can somewhat fit SD 16 heeled shoes (and even somewhat stand in them, though I did not risk venture far just in case). Since the flat feet takes up more space, it works (kinda). The heeled feet would be too small though.

I was looking up Sartoriaj shoes recently, but their SD size is for a foot that is more or less one centimeter bigger and their MSD shoes are for feet that is one centimeter smaller, so no luck there.

All of the SD-10, SD-13 fit. I am not too picky though, so a bit of "wiggle" to me is acceptable. I can stuff the shoe if it matters for a picture.

    14. I ordered 1/3 sized boots for mine from alicecollections. They both fit perfectly and both can stand. Ones flat foot and ones heeled so I switched for the heel feet.

    15. My Willow is finally with me. Now I need to decide about the dress she will wear and wigs ^^
I'm thinking of turning her into a gothic lolita

    18. oh I see...I think maskcat might launch her again as anyversary event

    19. that would be nice, it's a very pretty head!
If that happens I will try to resist buying a willow in tan because I think it looks beautiful in that colour! :D

    20. @dbfalcao - Willow was an "event" head, or a limited head, so I don't know if they will ever release her again. I don't recall them re-releasing other event heads from the past. I'm sorry to disappoint you! But maybe if enough people ask they will release her again! You never know!

@deathdoll - your Willow is beautiful! The faceup complements the sculpt so well and I love the long black wig!
