1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Mature 1/6 Dolls - part 3

Mar 3, 2020

    1. Thank you! I love him so much already TuT

    2. Oh that fits her SO well, she looks so cute!! Especially with that wig, oh my god. * w *

Congrats on the new boy, he's so adorable!

    3. Oh my gosh she’s so cute! It probably is a Barbie basket! I have a few random tiny baskets that I just love~

    4. Thank you!!

Does anyone buy any of those mini brands? Are they a good scale for these?

    5. I do own a few that I got because I love miniature toys of real toys. They will work with Myou mature tiny, if you don't mind they are non-scale to each other (they are all just small enough to fit inside the capsule). However, they still make decent props and background clutter. (:

I could take a photo with my tiny male, when I get home from work. I only got three of the regular Toy Mini Brands capsules and one of the Disney ones so far.

    6. Yeah the mini brands are really hit or miss! Unfortunately for the food props, all the ones that are the nicest (ie not just a printable box) are too big for 1:6... Still super cute though, I've bought a few Orbs from Target.

    7. I like the food ones as well, but only got one of the newer series for a chance to get the tiny Tapatio sauce bottle (I can't handle hot foods of any kind when it comes to temperature, but if it doesn't make my tongue feel like it's about to disintegrate from spice-heat, I don't want it! Lol!).

I took photos of my Toy Mini Brands along with my Myou Bettina (male), I unfortunately misplaced the first set I got, and the Disney ones, while I was taking the photos. Of course, once I was done and had put everything away (I keep my resin BJD in the closet, inside their boxes, nude and wigless), I found the Disney set. DX

With two capsules worth of Toy Mini Brands:

These are the Disney toys I got in a single capsule, two of the "rarer" gold versions of Mickey in his car, funnily enough. The Toy Story aliens are probably around the size of the Rugrats Tommy figure from the above sets, if that helps anyone.

Edit: Forgot to add a photo of this little dude wearing the only Mattel BTS top that is not attached to the jacket piece. I had to undo the seam that goes more than halfway up the back, to avoid damage to his body blushing or face-up/lashes. However, the fit is really good, IMHO. I might look for patterns meant for Matel BTS dolls, if I fail to edit Taeyang or Ken clothes patterns.

    8. Little Monica have published news about the final discontinuation of their sales and the company closing. :(
So if anyone wanted a muse Sarubia or Eric, this is the last chance to order them.

    9. Those seem in pretty good scale to me for some of those. Thanks so much for sharing! They now have food mini brands?! D:

    10. They do have food Mini Brands! They're mostly out of scale, though. Here's Aurelie with most of the ones I have (pardon the bad lighting, it's 10:30 PM...)

    11. No problem, I am glad to spam my little dude (and tiny miniature collections) whenever possible! They do have food ones like Idoru kindly shared above. I only own one set of those from series 3 (I believe), and their scales are all over the place. Unlike with tiny toys, which you can kind of get away with at most any size, the food containers are too big most of the time. I was lucky and got one of the carded Pez dispensers, which would work wonderfully with most dolls under 30cm. I wasn't able to find mine when I took the photos above. Now that I have found all, I kind of have too many of the toys and only a few of the foods (no hot sauce bottles yet, sadly). I definitely want more of the Disney ones, because I love their Animator's and Princes Doll lines, in real-life-scale. I sadly didn't get any of those with my first try. (:

    12. So today I took Rod and Cordelia apart to restring and add some hot glue sueding and I noticed the weirdest thing: the smaller Asleep Eidolon boy has thicker strings than the Myou boy. No wonder Cordelia was so kicky while Rod is more floppy. I also have no idea how I'm going to get the strings through the AE body since the holes are so tight that I almost couldn't even get the strings out through them to take him apart but maybe with slightly thinner strings it'll be fine.

    13. Working on the patio bar again. Next I put up the fairy lights across the back.

    14. In my experience, slightly thinner elastic works just fine. You may have to play around with it, though. It's always a pain when the elastic channels are only barely wide enough for the elastic though...

Just for fun, I thought I'd share pics of (almost) all of my mature 1/6s, since they're out on display finally! Not pictured is my Granado Shadow head and my Xagadoll Ken, because neither are "finished". (Don't mind the headless Obitsu24 there, she's getting a new faceup.)

    15. Hate to double-post, but it's been a few weeks so... Okay, I hope? I went to a meet today and brought a bunch of my mature 1/6s, including my newest--a Granado Bonnie on the Muse body. Since I have a new girl AND had them all out, I took some height comparison photos with her! Quite a few, actually, so I'm putting most of them behind a cut. Hope these are helpful to someone!

    17. @Idoru Comparisons are always welcome! Thank you!

    18. Glad to hear it! I figure I have so many of these things now, I should put that to good use! Hahaha.

    19. So, if anyone has LuuusiQ/EchoTown Photosynthetic girls, the "Real Littles" shoes and roller-skates fit them! Low-cut sneakers should work with their flat feet (I have a pair I forgot to photograph, but they're low-cut and they take a bit of muscle to get on/off, but they work!), but the high-tops might not work without cutting a slit down the back (like on Barbie shoes).

I could only get my girl's heel feet into the roller skates (too scared to cut them!), and as such, she can't balance real well, but sitting/leaning poses work perfectly!

As a bonus, they come in cute little "shoe boxes" that would look great in a diorama, too! And, there's 2 series out so far (they're sold as blind bags/boxes), so there's a lot of really cute choices! Ebay/Mercari/etc is a great place to look for the exact pair you want, if you don't want to go the blind bag route. They're also incredibly detailed for being so small and the paint job is really nice (at least on the ones I have!). The wheels on the roller-skates really roll!

Here's my tan Seven (still unnamed :sweat) in her new roller skates!

(I didn't tie the laces or remove the keychain, I was just too excited that they fit!)

I'm now heavily considering buying a few more pairs of the roller-skates to wipe and repaint :evilplot:

    20. somewhat random questions, but I want to try some hybridizing for certain characters I want to shell in 1/6, and I'd like to know what companies sell heads alone for that scale?
I know Granado does, and the 12" from Dollmore can be bought just the head, but they seem to have small heads even by mature 1/6 standards (I have a Granado Ninth and I love him but he's a pinhead XD)
I vaguely remember that Myoudoll doesn't (a shame, I would definitely have gone for that option) but has anyone ever tried other companies?
