1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

mature 1/8 dolls

Jul 21, 2019

    1. I'm curious for one, if when you buy the super tinies, if you are expecting to receive accessories and clothes with them by default since they are indeed challenging to find clothing for? Or do you still prefer to accessorize on your own?

Generally speaking no I do not expect to receive accessories and clothes, most companies do not offer them and if they do they are very simplistic and not very appealing. I prefer to accessorize on my own. I think it would be very wise if a creator were to try to size the proportions of their doll to some existing larger brand name doll. One of the most shining examples is how the Maskcat mature tinies fit Blythe clothing and shoes. There are other dolls that could be used as a size gauge such as Barbie, Momoko, Obitsus, etc. There are so many clothing creators for these dolls on Etsy etc, as well as general sewing patterns floating around.

And if you do find tinies that you are interested in, do you already have set expectations about how much you're willing to pay for these size dolls? I'd just be interested to hear if people do think there's a correlation between height and price specifically, or if there are other factors that affect the perception of value for a size of doll that is less widely available/created in general.

I personally do not like to pay more than around $200 to $350 for mature tinies, some companies ask as much for them as dolls that are 1/3 scale or high end 1/4 dolls, and this kills my desire to buy them. One of the most appealing parts about mature tinies is how they are generally more budget friendly, and I could get two dolls for what I'd normally pay for one. Really special dolls or something very unique I would definitely be willing to spend a little more on, but for a standard doll not so much.

    2. To be honest when I see a price tag of 300 € on a 13 cm doll and then I pay 350 for one 40 cm... I don't feel willing to spend 300 on tiny one. I know that probably scale doesn't matter as much for sculptor bur in my head I find it hard to accept higher price on tinies.
