1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Mature-looking Mini discussion

Apr 20, 2006

    1. Dollzone 1/4 male body is fairly mature, and I know it matches some DOD resin. New or old, I have no idea, but I think someone knows :3

    2. LatiDoll's new Blue Line boys come with a muscular, mature body. The Lati resin is a bit more yellow than DoD resin though.

    3. Under Luts Fairyland you can actually find the Minifees. They are mature minis (I actually have one on the way! A MNF Shushu!^o^ ).

    4. I just had a whole long post with a list and descriptions written out, and in the midst of my research, I hit Apple-R (refresh) instead of Apple-T (new tab), so I lost the whole thing. :...( I'll do my best to replicate what I had, but I'm sure it won't be the same. I'm sorry!

      • CP/Luts Mini Fee - Mentioned above, these are mostly smaller replicas of the full-size Delf, though there are a few sculpts unique to MF. Some people have put Kid Delf heads on the mature bodies, as well. (http://www.eluts.com)
      • Unoa Quluts - A series of dolls sculpted by Gentaro Araki, an artist also known for the now-discontinued Unoss. These dolls are sold only on a preorder basis, and orders are being taken until July 9th for the girls (Sist and Lusis). You can swap out faceplates and body parts to customize your doll further. You must sign up with Crescent Shop to place a preorder, but do a search for Unoa on the forums, and you'll find many pictures. (http://www.crescent-shop.com)
      • Narindoll - A series of dolls sculpted by Korean doll artist Bimong, now produced under Narin Creative. You can choose from a variety of faces when ordering, and custom facepainting is available. Dollfair handles the overseas distribution for Narindolls, and Catrina/Dollyholic can help you through the ordering process. (http://www.dollfair.com)
      • Limhwa/Limho - Another pair of Korean artist dolls. These are also distributed through Dollfair. (http://www.limhwa.com)
      • MiniSup - Same as above. (http://www.supiadolls.com)
      • N-Dolls - Same as above. (http://www.n-dolls.com)
      • Castle Anne - A newer breed of mature mini--I'm not sure if anyone here has one yet. She is in the same scale as Unoas and Narindolls, so she can share wigs, eyes, and presumably clothes with them. (http://www.castleanne.com)
This is just a starting point, but it should cover most of the popular choices--I'm sure others will be happy to weigh in with their personal experiences. The mini size is a great scale, and there are lots of mature options out there. I actually prefer them to the more popular 60cm size. :D

    5. Orient Doll has some very mature minis you might want to check out.

    6. i'm bias with my female dolls. have you looked at www.Domuya.net? they have very nice mature bodies and they are on sale right now. you can always get the body and find a head more suited to what ever character you have in mind

    7. I suggest Narin/Narae, CP Mini Fee and maybe Phantom dolls? (http://phantomdoll.com/main2.html) Even though I don't really like the bodies, Siamese and Korat have pretty 'mature' looking faces, IMHO.

    8. (wow Good job Kalmia - links too!)

There are tons of mature minis - there may even be more mature ones at this point than immature ones. But you have to care a bit about head size, eye size, and height if you plan to using them standing next to other dolls in a story.

There is a large group of more expensive ($500+) mature minis from Korea - Narindoll Narin and Narae 43cm (see http://www.dollfair.com ), Supia, N-Doll, Limhwa, and a new one Castle-Anne. Also the Japanese company AlchemicLabo's Unoa girls who come flat chested with optional large bust piece for an extra charge (pre-orders occur rarely and one is ending very soon!). These dolls typically are 43cm with 6-7 inch heads and 12-14mm eyes.

There is another large group of lower priced mature minis (as low as $250 painted), some from Chinese companies such as Dollzone, Laidoll, Angel of Dream, Angell-Studio, and others and these often (but not always) have larger heads, larger eyes, and are taller (maybe 44cm).

      Some threads:

      http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103345

And there are many others including the three Souldoll Soulkid dolls that are mature - Miryu, Yewon, and Apple (Apple is new and very cute). DIM (Doll in Mind) also has some minis. Dollsandfriends is currently listing the three Souldolls I mentioned: http://dollsandfriends.com/souldoll.html

The Fairlyland dolls at http://www.eluts.com have already been mentioned (they are generally called MNF, mini fee, or minifee so they can be have to search for on this board!). Some people have also put some Delf kid heads on Fairyland body but you not all heads are available separately, some look large on Minifee, and you have to find a match in their skin colors (they are slowly switching their dolls to newer bodies in a new color called realskin). I don;t really recommend a hybrid as your first doll, especially in a skin color that is being phased out.

I am not sure, but Volks Super Dollfie Cute (aka SDC) may also be mini-sized mature girls.

You can see some of the Dollzone and DIM dolls at http://www.junkyspot.com and DM also at http://www.denverdoll.com. You can also check http://www.dollsandfriends.com and http://www.bjdollarama.com

And I am sure I missed plenty - this guide may have some more - look in Mature Mini:

    9. I'd then highly recommend the little Narins and Naraes.
They look, in my opinion very mature. Go search in the Narin/Narae discussionthread for looooooots of pictures.

    10. The Latidoll blue line has mature boys and girls. Also one of the few companies who offers a muscular boy body.
http://www.latidoll.com (a small note: this site gives some problems)

Link to the blue line (incase you have a problem with their site)

    11. Note - the mini size Orientdolls do not mix well with other company's minis except for maybe Unoa-2 who is also fashion-doll proportions. Their heads are much smaller than any other minis (5.5 compared to the usual 6.5 to 7.5), their eyes are smaller (10cm), and their bodies and much slimmer - more like a fashion doll.

    12. I also recommend a complete doll for your first, but if you really want the minifee girl body you could consider some Delf kid heads and Minifee body. Here is a thread that shows some. Ani and Ttory work pretty well this way and I also saw a cute Woori girl once. The heads look a bit larger but a head with a small face seems to work.

    13. I saw someone mention the soulkid! now they are making every soulkid head with the new body type, so if you like any of the head it will be coming with the new body since they stopped doing the old one.

      link to the soulkid!

    14. Yes. The luts Kid Delfs look rather young. But the Luts Minifees are just mini versions of Delfs.

The Dollzone 1/4s look mature too.

Hmmm. DIM 40cms look mature too, but there isn't a big selection.

      Dreamofdoll 40cms look mature also.

    15. From what I've seen, Angel of Dream seems to have really.. defined male bodies. o_o;

    16. Dream of Doll's Girl Body 2 is definitely mature...Fergie wasn't talking about herself in My Humps, it was definitely DOD's new MSD! *snerk*

DOCs tend to have childish faces, but that's where the faceups come in! Here is my Yen girl with faceup by comicbookartistboi; she's supposed to be about 30.

It is not the best photo, but I think you can see that she's got quite the tracts of land to the point where she's busting out of her shirt, LOL...

    18. Luts Mini Fee, Unoa, Lati Blue, Narin, Newer DoCs are a few suggestions.
MNFs are mini size versions of the Delfs.

    19. Are you looking for a mature doll (tall, slim, girls are shapely with breasts)? if so, the list above is a good start. Add to that the mature Souldoll Soulkids... the mature Soulkid girls are Miryu, Yewon, Mirebeol(spelling?), Lin, and Apple, and I think there is at least one boy in that group. The other Soulkids are immature. Also Latidoll Blue line of girls and boys, and in less expensive dolls there are Dollzone, Angel of Dream, Angell Studio. Also I think the DIM minis may be mature. The other Korean dolls member Dollyholic is agent for are mature - besides Narindoll (see dollfair.com) there are Supia, N-Doll, and Limhwa.

Or are you looking for an immature body with a more mature looking face? (harder to find).

And if you mean specifically MSD (i.e. Volks Mini Super Dollfie), then I doubt you will find any mature looking ones but I am no Volks expert. Volks means for the MSD's to look like younger siblings of their SD's. However, they also sell SDCute (Super Doll Cute) which I believe are mature minis.

This is a helpful but incomplete guide and I see one error - I believe DOD/DOC Petsha and possibly another DOC mini is mature, but she is listed in the immature section. Note - DOC means Dream of Child, a section of Dream of Doll (DOD).

And please look at the existing threads on this topic (found by title search for older* restricted to the Minis section):
