Mature-looking Mini discussion

Ikea has a cheap 1/4 bed that's a good size. It's 20" long so it's a tiny bit short, my 50cm Telestesia and Dragon guy only fits on the diagonal laying down, but it's the correct height for him to sit on it. Its unpainted wood, so I'm staining mine dark brown and it's going pretty well.

Micheal's also has a 1/4 chair as part of their spring decor (not entirely sure why someone would want it as house decor but also not the strangest thing they have - probably ~1/3 size decorative bathtub). The base of the chair is the correct size but it's kinda short in the legs.

Yes! They have a single female head lmao. It’s “Miao Shi San” and they also have a 46cm mature female body.

 

Dollzone Xiao Chu and Xiao Yi use the 51cm body.

I have Island Doll Long Qingzhi (both versions). He was my first fashion msd. I wish this size was aro when I started the hobby, I'd have so much more space lol

Has anyone tried matching Sartoriaj's sonoran beige with other company's skin tone? I have a floating head, and I am interested in getting particularly the Dikadoll 51cm body.

 

I think dika doll does resin matching, sorry I can’t help with other hybrids.

It would be good to post about resin comparisons here too! Here's what I've found so far:
Iplehouse normal skin and Raccoondoll normal skin match very well. The Sartoriaj Peach Cream is much darker than both, and doesn't match.
Iplehouse white skin and Raccoondoll white skin match very well. Sartoriaj Ivory skin is also a good match.
No idea about Sontaran Beige, sorry.
I'm not sure about the darker skin tones - I think I've seen that Raccoondoll Sweet mocha and one of the Iplehouse skin tones match well? Not sure of the names and which ones though!

 

No problem! He's a handsome guy, even blank, in my opinion.
I've only painted the regular head, keep flip flopping on how I want to paint the special/wink head lol

They're both wearing 5-6 Monique wigs. The regular head is wearing 10mm small iris glass eyes from ACBJD and the sp/wink head is wearing 10mm Sprouty eyes.

For the wigs - Facets By Marcia has some of the Monique wigs left, although less all the time as they gradually sell out. I've managed to get a few in Raccoondoll size though. Iplehouse also have wigs in that size (although they are weirdly low on stock at the moment), as does Sartoriaj, and so does Leekeworld, although they all seem to be going to be stocked at Hannasu from now on - but they are having a sale in the meantime! ForMyDoll do some wigs in this size - that's where most of the Raccoondoll wigs come from in fact - and there's always AliExpress, although most of the ones I've taken a chance on have ended up being very poor quality from there!

 

Great idea to have a thread for all of the fashion doll/MSD sized dolls. Mine all live together. I don't have an SJ doll in this scale yet but perhaps one day.

Mentioned above Raccoondoll's sweet mocha works with Iplehouse real skin. I bought Iplehouse feet at one point for my Raccoon dolls.

Back to the wig question - I should point out a lot of the boys wear 6-7" wigs (SartoriaJ and FID, anyway), but the girls wear 5-6" wigs. 6-7" are a lot easier to get, there's a much bigger range with most of the sellers as they fit standard size YoSD - but the 5-6" is much harder!

Luts also stock 5-6" and 6-7" wigs, and Legenddoll have a range from various sellers (of wildly varying quality I should point out, in my experience!)

A lot of the 5-6" wigs are designed for the rounder heads of the child dolls though, which is fine if it's a longer wig, but the updo ones don't necessarily fit - they don't go down far enough on the head.

And here's a photo of my Fashion size crowd one year ago - I'll have to do an updated shot soon, I've had one doll leave and one arrive since then, maybe I'll wait until my Sartoriaj boy arrives and take another group shot then!

(As you can see I wasn't kidding about my Laetitia army! I've since added a SJ girl with a Laetitia head too, so there's another - I didn't bond with the SJ head so I sold it but kept the body, to add yet another Laetita head!)

 

I mostly get mine from etsy, but you really have to be patient in searching for the right fit. Sartoriaj and Iplehouse websites have decent wigs as well, but they are always low in stock.

 

Great looking couple. FIDs and Raccoon Dolls match well together. Sartoriaj girls also match quite well. For SJ boys, their heads are a little on the larger side, but they could pass to match the FIDs and RDs. I have dolls from all these companies.

 

That is good to know because I'm thinking of an SJ MSD at some point,
