@Astro I'd love to see those comparison pics at some point! I only have one hybrid and I'm just lucky she works so well.

 

Thank to God I finally was able to get lucky and order a Jina head in suger white resin. I’m so excited after years of waiting for the heads to be in stock I was able to order because of the offline event they are having.

My grail boy God willing will finally become a reality.

Do you guys know if resinsoul white resin matches migidoll suger white resin? Thank you in advance for the information

@Astro How wide actually are the shoulders? Spiritdoll says 14cm, but they look a lot narrower in your picture.

 

@Cloudedmind they actually are about 14cm! I already put the head that was intended for it on and dressed it, so I'd say they're probably around 13.7-8cm straight across if I try to account for the fabric bulk? Depending on how Spiritdoll measured I can easily see how they got the 14cm. I have no idea where they pulled 62cm height from though, he's barely taller than my SD10 that's chilling in high heels right now

 

@Astro Thanks! I'm looking for a body for my Enzo head, and while I know 65cm bodies work I was also interested in something around 63cm as well. I tried Enzo's head on my Volks SDGr boy body who has about a 13cm shoulder width, and the head didn't look to bad on the body. The shoulder could be a little bit wider so I was thinking something closer to 14cm or even 14.5cm could work.

 

@Cloudedmind The body is really tiny compared to a Gr, it's even smaller than SD13. I think the shoulder width might be relatively close (I thought Gr bodies had shoulders wider than 13cm? Are you measuring the torso part or including the arms? I was including the top of the arms in my measurement), but everything else isn't. I can take pics of it next to my other dolls tomorrow so you can get an idea for scale if you'd like? It's somewhere between an SD10 and SD13.
I'm really impressed with the color matching, if anyone ends up ordering a Spiritdoll body for their Migi heads, that may be the way to go!

 

@Astro Yep, including the arms they measure just a little bit over 13cm. The SD13 Revival body actually has wider shoulders at about 14cm (the body is generally thicker overall), than the SDGr body. And yes I'd love pictures. Thanks!

 

@Cloudedmind I just got mad curious and ran to measure them a few minutes ago + took a quick photo while I was at it. It's crazy how slim the Gr shoulders are in measurement, I wouldn't have really guessed just from looking at the doll? I've also tried this head on a Gr body before and it didn't look much different than when I had it on the SD13 >w<

SD13 and Spiritdoll have really similar shoulder measurements, I think the 13 is probably the full 14cm?

My SD10 is wearing high heels, but he's in the back row so he appears a little shorter anyway. My Gr is in heels too, I turned one foot to the side so people can approximate the difference in height.
I can do something better over the next few days and get everyone out + remove shoes.

 

@Astro Thanks for the picture. Yes, in clothes it's little harder to tell the difference, especially if the bodies aren't directly next to each other and are both wearing loose clothing.

 

Ah man, so much for Spiritdoll!

However, I just found out that Doll Family H has a few very nice bodies without defined muscles, including a 72cm one! If their white is a good match for Sugar White, I'll be set.

 

You might be in luck, I'm sending my sugar white headcap off to DF-H for color matching in a few days. Provided they keep the formula on hand you should be able to reap the benefits of me shelling out for the match without having to send anything yourself >w<

DF-H's white is not a good match for sugar white. Switch's rosy white (which DF-H can cast to match at no extra charge, at least through their Taobao. I'm not sure if it costs extra with a dealer) is a good match for sugar white (SW is lighter than RW, but both have pink undertones), I'm just insane and wanted a perfect match so that I don't have to worry whether or not a faceup can cover up the difference.

I just ordered their new slimmer 68cm body for my Mercury head. My friend tried him on the Vings 68cm body (which has almost identical measurements to the new DF-H 68 2.0 body) for me and it was a perfect fit. I was torn between both bodies, and DFH's having really nice optional hands and feet + the ability to color match pushed me over the edge in their direction.

@MrFjmg2003 Migidoll's sugar white isn't paper white. If you go back and check out post #707 and #716 you'll see some comparison pics.

I think it will be hard to find a good body match. I was hoping to use the resinsoul 72cm body. They do resin match but both times I order resin match by using pictures the bodies came to dark.

 

@MrFjmg2003 When doing resin matching it's best to send them a physical object with the color you want. The best option is to send them a paint chip in the color you want. You can go to a place Lowes or Home Depot with the head in question and compare it's color to all the paint swatches.

 

I got my shun (Jina head) He is so cute!!! I try him in the resinsoul 72 Yi body with the smooth abdomen that belongs to my RumpelDoll Morfeo head and I think he looks great. I think God willing that would definitely be his body. I like the proportions. Unfortunately migidoll white resin is not paper white like resinsoul. I’m terrible at resin matching both custom bodies I order from resinsoul are way darker LOL

I live in a small town and if I want to ship over sees I need to go to the main office and is in the next town about an hour away. So that’s out of the question for me lol

When I did the resinsoul match they did ask me to send a sample (out my possibilities like I mention before) or for the Pantone number. I used the cards the way you mention to get the Pantone number and I thought they were a match, but certainly my eyes were off because both bodies came out darker.

And I've already decided I don't want to shell him as my OC. But he'd look very cute painted up akin to Udo Kier as Dracula...
