Migidoll General Discussion, Pt. 4

@Mariemisu : I have both, from approximately the same years, lol! Granted my Mu is just a tad newer, but for all intents and purposes, the yellowing should be about the same as mine, soooo.... yellowed Volks is going to be a bit darker over all than yellowed Migidoll. The good news is that, after blushing from a faceup, they should match decently enough!

 

Mu does have a company faceup, so maybe he'll match the body a bit better!

 

Ohhh!!! That really might up the chances!!

I hope you post him here when he's all together! Mine is still waiting for me to give her a faceup, but I finally have her body~

My Mercury's body just arrived today! It's a DF-H 68cm 2.0 body, and I sent in the headcap and had it cast to match Migi's sugar white resin. The color is really good, I'd say it's about a 97% match? Unless you know to look for some additional color undertones under certain lighting, you can't tell.

Your Mercury looks lovely, and those eyes look great in him. What size are there if I may ask?

 

@Cloudedmind Thanks! I had them custom made by The Secret Art Studio. They're 16/5mm, with a color diffusion ring that makes them appear closer to 16/6mm.

 

@Astro Thanks! I've been meaning to get a pair of eyes from them.

 

@Cloudedmind She's REALLY good! I've been digitally painting eye designs to go with my commission form for my past two commissions and it's worked really well.

 

Here's my Mu on his newly arrived 2006 Volks SD-13 boy body! The resin match is very good, but I didn't think to take any pictures before dressing him. The head is pinker than the body but it's not very noticeable in person and completely unnoticeable in pictures.

The new guy looks so handsome! He's kind of giving me Switch vibes. I like the look of the 75cm body but that's a bit out of my size range.

 

He looks like an older version of Ryu. His chin, cheeks and face shape are very similar to Ryu's sculpt. Even "Ryul"... Sounds kind of familiar?

 

Does anyone have a doll in latte brown skin color? It's hard to find any pictures.

 

@RoyalRegals I do! My St. Vicente on the right is in latte brown. It's a lovely color.

I'm proud to announce both of my classic Migi boys have bodies now!

Although I like the SD13B body so much I'm considering getting another for my Ryu

 

They look so tiny pictured like that. I should take some new pictures of my Jina now that he finally has a full set of clothes.
