Migidoll General Discussion, Pt. 4

My body came in back on the 19th. Here's some pictures I took of it's posing with an Illusion Garden head. The head is in lace white and the body in sugar white.

@Cloudedmind The link seems to be broken, Imgur gives a 404 and says it was possibly moved or deleted. I'm so excited for the pictures though, I was just looking for something like this a couple days ago!

 

@aestellica Yeah, Imgur is being really weird. I've tried multiple times to get the post to show when linked, it's the only one that doesn't.

@Cloudedmind I'm sorry, I tried on both PC and phone but the new link loads indefinitely until I get a connection error.

 

*sighs* I really didn't want to add these to my Flickr, since I'm trying to clean that up, but here we go, Illusion Garden Head on Migidoll Omega Body. If some how this finally works, I'll be remove them within a week. If not, sadly I'm done since apparently the universe doesn't actually want me to share these pictures.

 

@Cloudedmind Oh my gosh thank you so much, these pictures are everything and more! I can't thank you enough, that hybrid is so good and the body seems to have great posing. I can't believe Migidoll didn't show this off.

 

@aestellica I'm glad something finally worked.

Here's some additional information I told someone else as well.
"The upper chest joint has decent forward motion, but getting it to bend back and stay in position takes a lot of work. The lower hip/stomach joint is kind of useless for foreward or backward movement. There's a tall lip inside that keeps the joint from being able to really move around.
Also, attaching the heel legs was way to hard. The bar for the S Hook is to far down the leg.
Other than that though, the body's not to bad of a poser. Some of the poses took more work to get into than others, but I did manage."

 

@Cloudedmind Thank you, that extra info was really helpful! I guess they added the lip inside if the hip joint to keep it from constantly popping out. My friend's Migidoll body has that problem and I was helping her dress him which proved to take some effort in order to get his shirt properly tucked into his pants because of that joint. Just makes me wonder why artists even bother doing a second cut at the hip joint and not under the ribcage which is more natural and proven to allow more movement. From your description it seems still useful besides forward and backward movement though, which is more than I can say for my old delf bodies so that's still good to me!

I got my body a couple weeks ago- I intended it to be for a Kdoll Keikei head, but I’m giving it to my DIM BBjorn. Seriously, Migidoll Normal Skin seems to have been made for my doll - the most perfect match I’ve found yet I will try to post photos this weekend.

This is so helpful! I just brought home a Migidoll Flora head and she is absolutely adorable. I suspected she would look better on a 60cm body, so I think I'll try to track down another girl body for her since I'm not a huge fan of the current "wide shoulders/small head" trend.

And of course Migi just announced a renewal for the Awesome68 body and they've fixed the elbows, which is my one complaint. That's low on my priority list but it would be nice! Lucky for any future plans.

 

Hopefully, they turn it into a normal peanut type joint.

Lord, I'm forgetful. The body came in last year, I've had him put together for a while... but he still needs a faceup. I have to say that stringing the body myself was *so much fun*.
