1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Mini-sized furniture and props discussion

Mar 27, 2005

    1. I think this breakfast nook was a home-dec showroom sample rather than doll furniture (sorta like the little tents in sporting goods stores). The benches with the backs is a single L-shaped unit and the top of the seats flip up to reveal storage underneath. The kitchen and fridge are current Target 18" doll items. Sorry for the rather haphazard set-up; I was dealing with a very inquisitive cat and rushed to get done and return all my pretties to their safer locations.

    2. Take the doll you want the bed for to Target and/or Toys R Us, they sell AG knock-offs so you can see if any of the stuff fits, Target has salon chairs and a few things I've never seen for AG and chances are it's cheaper. I've been able to fit a Dollzone mini in one of the beds and I've seen Obitsu 60s using some of the chairs.

    3. The AG furniture 'generally' works well for MSD sized dolls. I have Kit's desk and her trundle bed and they work perfect. It would look a tad small for Delf or the larger IH dolls.

    4. Since your MSD is 43cm and the bed is about 48.5cm, your doll will have about 5.5cm of space left. I think it's better to have some leg room so you can add pillows, ect.

      :)

    5. I personally don't like the Target and KB knockoffs.. they're really cheaply made. The AG stuff generally works really well for MSD sized dolls, my girl is going to sleep in an old Kirsten bed and trunk when she arrives! It's all up to you of course, have fun shopping!

    6. You could have a look on DOllmore website shop section "furniture and accessories"
They do have some pretty things for MSD , like modern bed and less modern chairs.
They also have other things like props, but I don't remember one in particolar, now.
You should have a look :)
And I think also frniture for American Girl Doll is okay for a standard MSD doll.
And there are a lot of props and beds for AG dolls.. infact I'm just going to buy a laptop with a bag for my dolls.
The bad thing it's these items for this kind of doll are quite expensive.. >.> at least to me , that I have to pay also a high shipping cost to italy!
Also you could find some Bespaq furniture (but usually in an antique style.. like victorian..) but they're also expensive, but on ebay you could find some grabs of broken pieces (easy to fix again) which are on sale at almost 50 % discount.
      :)
      Hope this helps a bit!

    7. It is kind of hard to find really good furniture for this size. Here are some things I have found that are worth looking at though:

      - Tyler Wentworth furniture is the perfect size
      - The Marley Wentworth bed is very pretty and cute and looks fine with an MSD if you don't care if she can't lay flat
      - The Volks sofas look fine with this size if you don't mind your MSD's looking like "children" when seated on them
      - Gene furniture is perfectly sized and well made

    8. This is all great guys, but I'm in the UK and the shipping on those sites seems waaay high! Does Target have a website? Does anyone know of any UK sites?

I just had a look in TK Max, but couldn't find that jewellery box. I'll look on eBay though :)

    9. I found a little porcelian tea set in a pound store the other day. And ebay can be quite good :)

    10. Yeah I managed to find a good brid cage and nest on ebay, am well chuffed with that.

Tea sets are such a good idea, i tried making one but to no avail.

    11. Is there a thread for MSD room sets? I did a search but it didn't bring up anything (but I have had that problem before with the search engine and then discovered that there was a thread but it just didn't bring it up).

    12. I don't know Smudge, but I would be interested as well, I'm always looking for some new props for my 1/4 dollhouse.

    13. Thrift and antique stores. Kkollect on YouTube has lots of ideas about AG dollhouse furniture and dollhouses.
