1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Minimee Discussion

Sep 13, 2014

    1. Hi! I own a minimee of David Tennant (made by Owl), but my guy doesn't represent any of Tennant's roles (although I adore Tennant!!! :love ). He is just one of the characters of my own story. His name is Ole, he is a taleteller and a little bit magician. And, oh yes, he is blonde

    2. Hello,

A couple days ago I have bought the head of Snape by Ebay. The seller was not able to say which company has made this head. Could anybody help me to find it out? Thank you!

    3. (As far as I know) DiM did 2 runs of Snape and Nobility doll did one. I have one of DiMs versions and it's not the same one you have there,

Here's an odd request;l please photograph the inside of the head and also the headcap sitting on the bold head. These things will do a lot in identifying the head. If there is any marking in the resin or even a pencil mark inside, it could all help.

    4. Thank you for your helpfulness! There are no marks inside at all. I will take photos and post on WE.

    5. Here is the inside of the head and the headcap:[IMG]

    6. This looks very much like the head construction of the DIM Minimees.

    7. I am so excited. I bought Buff's Prince Nuada from Hellboy so he will be my second DIM minimee :)

    8. @Kavarr I'm so happy for you! Congrats!

    9. Thank you!
May be you know as well which one of two versions? On the first page of this thread one can read: "Alan Rickman (at least 2 different versions, both by DiM, one for DoA , one for Russian doll forum. The DoA version was made by DiM China)".

    10. No, sorry, I don't know which version. I don't think I've seen your version of the head before …

    11. I just wonder, why in such a exciting thead as minimee there are so few images of the dolls...:(

Not quite a MNM per say, but a quarter scale Stark to join the hoard of Tony's and Sherlock's on here!

(One issue I'm having with all of my actual MNMs, finding bodies big enough that their huge noggins aren't ridiculously oversized... My Venitu may have been partly purchased with MNM body borrowing in mind! )

    13. Thank you for posting! What kind of wig it is?
My Snape is on Dollshe 28M body. I find it fits!

    14. The movie „Alice Through the Looking Glass“ runs now, and I suggest to post our Minimee of Johnny Depp as Mad Hatter. Please meet my Mad Hatter

    15. :blush Sorry! He's not actually wearing a wig, everything you see there hair wise is plastic. His eyes/hair are both built into the sculpt - as I confusingly (sorry!) said, he's not really a MNM. (He's actually a quarter scale action figure.)

Thanks for the Dollshe suggestion - actually I'm using/am going to use the DSAM35 body for my Bowie MNM, I just need to get around to sanding down the neck!

Hopfully the head of Bowie is not as huge as my Snape's head. I have tried DSAM32 for him, it doesn't work.

    17. Nuada is home and he is creepy and wonderful and I love him :)

    18. He really is the coolest and creepiest, I love everything about him. :shudder

    19. OMG I just saw your profile of your Nuada on the site's home page and I was like WHERE CAN I GET THIS HEAD. Seems like it's not really available anywhere though. So does minimee mean that the head was comissioned? And Doll in Mind just happened to be the primary offerrer of this service? (Also OMG there's a Pan head too from Pan's Labyrinth)

    20. Thanks! He is something of an acquired taste with those looks but I love him :)

Glad you like him! Minimees (of characters, actors etc..) are usually made in a group order and a company will cast only a limited number. DIM did 10 of these heads some years ago and they no longer do minimees. You never know though another might get sold second hand but as they are really rare it may be difficult to get one. There are other companies that will cast minimees. I know Mirodoll do and Natrume on etsy casts with mdoll. Also you can print a 3D head (I don't know how to do that) and then send it to the company to cast in resin. .
