1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Hopefully they will see the interest! I like the head too but like you @KittyFields I have waaayy too many floating heads (I recently bought a Float World head and couldn’t stop chuckling about how appropriate the name is for my collection.)

    2. I have a Surprise! floating head. Impl sent me a head as a gift and he's gorgeous. I don't have any plans (yet) for him so he's living in a drawer for now. I try not to look at random heads because the temptation is strong and I am weak. So very weak.

    3. So, I got the new 68cm body today, and I have to say I'm disappointed. I love the sculpting, but don't care for the way the joints are made. The biggest disappointment being the mobility thigh joint. It might as well not exist. Because the thigh mobility joint isn't the same shape all the way around trying to get the thigh to actually swivel at that joint is very difficult. It basically can't do a normal one leg crossed over the other seated pose. The closest I can get it to do that is if I dislocate the leg at the knee joint, but even then the body doesn't want to sit up just fall backwards.

The other problem for me at least is the elbow joints have locks on them which has them lock into place when in a completely straight position. So, what that means is if you want to bend the elbows you have to unlock the elbows first which requires pulling them out of the sock on either end before you can bend them. The arms also don't hold poses outside of straight, 90 degrees, and completely bent.

Looks like I'm going to have to take this body apart and take a Dremel and jewelers saw to it just so the mobility joint and elbow joints will work better.

    4. @Cloudedmind Aw that is so incredibly disappointing!! I'm so sorry. After all that wait and money spent and you're really going to have to alter it that much?? How awful. I look forward to seeing your progress on the fixes. Do you have any pictures of the body right now?
Also, I'm glad you gave this review. I was planning on getting it, but I think I'll go for the 72cm instead, and make my boy much taller but more posable. I'm going to wait for an event to order him; the extra $80 for tan is going to hurt my wallet as is.

Welp I just put that new beautiful muscular body on loooooong layaway for one of my floating heads. Fingers crossed it's a good poser.

    5. @Thymeseer I'd be weary of the 72cm body as well, and unfortunately the new muscle girl body since they both appear to have the same mobility joint design. The front of the mobility joint is lower then the back of the joint. Most mobility joints are just straight cuts across the upper thigh and it looks like for good reason.

Edited to add: @Thymeseer Here's a video to show the joint in action.

    6. That is worrisome about the elbow joints, hope they can be fixed! I put the 68 cm female muscle body on order in NS hoping for the best resin match wise. While I never do much with the thigh mobility joints on my dolls, limited pose range arm joints can be such a deal breaker.

I will wait until I receive this body and if I find it fit for shelling the character I have in mind, I will try to pair it with a SartoriaJ head.

    7. Speaking of the new muscle girl body, somehow the front curve of the thigh joint seems less curvier to me, maybe it functions a little better than the video above. Granted that a clean straight cut would be ideal.

And here you can see that it doesn't bend back anymore when crossing legs, though somehow it has a little wonky pose and you still have to engage the mobility joint.

    8. Interestingly, one of the dealers for Miracledoll made a post about the new muscle body that states that it will have multiple limited order periods, that this is the first of those limited order periods, and that future order periods will have a price increase and not include the free gift hands/feet included in this order period. This isn't the first time Miracle Doll has sold dolls via this method of multiple limited ordering periods, so I guess I am not too surprised.

I can afford a new layaway right now, but honestly it would be better if I didn't start one now, so I think I will pass on the muscle body until its next order period, even though I love the body.

    9. Ideally, I should be able to just shave/sand down the little locks, and then hopefully with some swede or kips it will help with them keeping poses.

Yeah, I'll be interested in seeing what everyone thinks once the new muscle girl body ships.

    10. @Cloudedmind You are a saint for posting that video! Thank you so much! I have more than one doll with that weirdly useless mobility joint. I'm more worried about the elbows!

I have to do Miracle Doll at this point because it's the only tan that closely matches Ringdoll, in an aesthetic that's good for my character.

    11. @Thymeseer You're welcome. I figured a video would do better then me trying to explain my way through several pictures.

    12. I received my new 68cm body and I'm confused as to why the neck seems bigger than 10cm making my Ruiying head look a bit bobble-headed when the company photos show the head sitting naturally on a body with the same neck measurements.

    13. @~carrot! The neck on the new 68cm body flares out at the top to get that 10cm circumference. But, the mid point of the neck is a bit thinner. That might be why the head looks a bit bobble-headed as the neck isn't the same size all the way through.

    14. Do you mean the female body? How is the body? I was pretty interested in getting it, but I have the same issue for the neck so I wasn't sure! I wanted to put a Switch HuisaD on it

    15. I have the new male body and Cloudedmind posted a video of how it poses.

This is how the Ruiying head looks on the body. Sorry for the doll nudity and the headcap. I was practicing painting eyebrows lol!

    16. @~carrot! So, I've thinned out the very top of the neck on my body because it was a bit to thick for the head I'm using for it. I also happen to have a Ruiying head that I can try on the body. I'll get a picture for you to see if the head fits better with a thinner neck top.

    17. @~carrot! Here are some pictures, Ruiyang & Edria on MD 68cm body.

After doing a comparison between my Edria head, the head I got this body for, and Ruiyang's head, I believe the reason the head doesn't feel like it fits as well is because the depth of it's neck hole is a bit more shallow then my Edria head.

The head almost looks like it's just kind of floating on top of the neck compared to Edria. And I've gotten this same phenomenon with other bodies I've put the head on which is why I've been having a hard time deciding what I body I want. It wasn't until now that I thought to compare his heck hole with another dolls.

The solution would be to deepen the hole some with a Dremel tool and sanding bit. I might actually try that.
