Mirodoll Discussion Part VI

For some reason my Flickr pictures aren't working. Anyway I've got my Dollstown Rian head on the 70 body finally and I like the resin color and scale of it very much for her. I had too many floating heads and also moved my Jelle by Little Rebel onto the Mirodoll 62 girl flat chest and also like it better for her than the DT 13 I had her on earlier. The 62's neck is more delicate for Jelle. Both bodies were in Mirodoll classic normal with is a great color match for both heads. I was wondering if the Mirodoll Tan is anywhere close to matching the Dollshe/Dollstown Copper Oriental resin? Or if I would need to use Mirodolls color matching to get close to that and send in a head cap to them? Thanks for all the help from everyone so far!

 

Are you using the Flickr BBCode? You just paste those into the post.
If you use the insert photo icon in the post tool bar you have to erase everything but the "http://blahblah.jpg" info.

 

I'm a bit angry because due to things happening I wasn't able to order the doll I wanted and the sale ended. Oh well. Now I can save up for the one I REALLY want and not just the cheapest.

 

Mirodoll sales are constant. They might as well be the regular price. Just wait a bit.

Just sayin' - I'd recommend going for the one you really want anyway. Miros are cool, they hybrid extremely well and they're super affordable, but if they're not the one you really really love, maybe this was meant to happen?
Or you really do wait for the next sale. They do happen pretty regularly.

 

I didn't plan on getting a SD size. I was going to stick to smaller 1/6 dolls and girls at that. Then the 65 cm Hector swaggered into my view and insisted his name was really Cormac. He demanded I pay attention. Now he is on layaway. Does anyone have a Hector? Did you use 16 mm eyes or another size? Thanks.

No Hector here, and the 65cm body is still missing in my Miro lineup, too ... so I'm super curious for your boy.

On the subject of curiosity - I asked in the Miro hybrids thread, does anyone happen to own a 66, 68 or 60cm body and a Ringdoll K head and could possibly maybe snap a pic of the head on the body for me?

I was off to a meet immediately after I uploaded the photos, sorry for the blur but it does fit K excellently and makes me consider getting another body sooner than later.

 

The world needs more Miro bodies!

I'm torn between skin tones at the moment. Normal skin K would mean he could share bodies easily ... but I do have a spare 66cm body which I snatched from the MP but it's normal pink which is PINK and doesn't match his designated head, so I could easily dye him to match. From those pics I'm guesstimating the 66cm is a better choice than the 68, so no sharing Norman's body. Decisions, decisions ...

 

So strange question but have any of you guys tried contacting mirodoll lately? I sent them two emails in the span of a few weeks and I still haven't heard back from them. Is that normal? Are they usually that slow getting back to people

 

Mirodoll's always been a bit lax about responding to emails, but it's also Chinese New Year, so they're more absent than usual. I've previously had more luck messaging them my questions on Facebook - usually I'd get a response within 24 hours.

I just purchased 62cm Mika in burnt sugar. I am so excited to get my hands on her. Also bought the small chest and heel feet. I have the measurements of everything except her head size. For the life of me no matter what I put into the search function here, on Google and on Mirodoll's site I cannot pull anything up. I'm sure it's either 7-8 or 8-9 but I want to be sure because I want to buy her a really unusual wig (she's going to be my Hermione Granger for my HP trio). Can anyone help me out?

 

Anyone know what is going on with Mirodolls? I contacted them on Monday about getting a paypal invoice sent to me so I could make another payment on my layaway. I was told it would be a couple of days. Still haven't gotten anything.

 

I think I can answer this question. The Chinese New Year Holiday they just took in February got them behind on their orders and e-mails. I ordered items that were already made and ready to ship, and it still took them about a week to even get back to me about them. When I did ask, they seemed panicked and told me that they were behind and trying their best to catch up, to have patience. I got my items soon after. Maybe try e-mailing them again, or messaging them on their Facebook page. I know that they don't have many employees so I bet they're frantically trying to catch up still. ​

 

So I just got my first Mirodoll order in a few days ago, and I had a few questions.

First, does anyone know if there's a thread here on DOA or a page elsewhere with mod details for the 70cm Female Body? I'm having a hard time finding anything. I have a few ideas so far, but want to see what others have done. I was aware of her design flaws beforehand, and I'm still really satisfied, but for her to pose or stand she'll need some help. I am affectionately naming her "Janky" for the time being.

Second, I am wanting to get both my 70cm Female Body in Normal Pink and my 61cm Male Body in Normal Classic some jointed hands. Does anyone have any recommendations? I was wondering if Resinsoul's jointed hands might work? I am not looking for a complete resin match, just close enough to be body blushed to sort of match.
