So up until now I've really been wanting this doll. It's Mirodoll Lili. She's got a sweet little face! The problem is that all of her pictures on the website make me completely unattached if that makes sense. The face ups in the pictures make me unable to fully appreciate the face I guess? I'm ordering her with a face up but I'm worried I won't like it when I get it. If anyone has this doll, I would love to see her. I don't want to regret my decision to buy her.
the stock photos on their site feature a faceup done by Blankqueen here - I have no idea what their default mirodoll faceup will be like - but if you don't like it you can wipe it with colourless, acetone-free nail polish remover and start over afresh, so if it's a cheap faceup it might be worth getting. If you look at mirodoll website section with heads for sale, you'll see a blank pic of lili - she's cute I think Not sure if you have to specify whether or not you want the old or new girl body for her though - best to double check that if you're wanting a less busty body. All of China is catching up after their week-long national holiday at the moment though, so you may not get an immediate response
Does anyone have one of the xm girls? I've been thinking of getting one to be a body for a Resinsoul Lan but the neck measurements aren't on the site.
XM is the same as Magical Angel right? I think I heard that. If so I have a Magical Angel 1/4 girl. Let me know if you want me to measure her!

There is Lili I received a few days ago: Her ears are at different heights, and the whole face looks stretched out to the side. It looks appalling in person. When I looked at other people's pictures, and on the product photo on Mirodoll website, the doll's ears are always covered or the head turned in a way so not to see the defect. I emailed them twice and asked for replacement, but did not receive any reply so far. I received the XM 1/4 body with my order a few days ago, too. I like it very much, even though they strung her with black elastic (I got the normal pink color body). The feet only bend up, not down, so no pointe poses. She poses wonderfully otherwise. She stands and sits and touches her face and is very stable. I have RS Lan head and wanted to try it on, but they use a ring instead of a hook and Lan has really small hook opening, so I am waiting until I restring her. The body is so much thicker than RS body that I do not think Lan head would look good on it. The color match with the normal color of RS is almost perfect. I put Obitsu Haruka head on the body, it is much bigger and wider than Lan, and it looks very good with the body, and color is quite good, too. I could not try Lili head on it for the same reason as with the Lan head - very small hook opening in the neck. I am planning on getting a different pair of hands because the hands XM body has are very crude.
The neck is 7.3 cm according to my take measure. She poses like a dream. I got white elastic (again ordered through magical angel so that could or could not make a difference). Everything locks into place well so I've never had anything flow back. The wrists maybe have the least mobility, you can't bend it to a 90 degree angle like your own wrist will turn, but that could be modded to work better. I have admit to not getting her to stand on her toe but thats probably more my user error than anything. I don't have patience nor would I leave her like that and I like to pose my dolls and let them stay that way for a while (more of a looker than player). The gabs aren't bad but they're definitely not a delicate sculpt. I like her thickness myself.
They really aren't good at replying to people right now. I sent e-mails in september, before their holiday, and several after, as well as another one last week, and haven't received a single response about my order. It's now 10/17 and I have no idea when my girls are going to be finished or when they will arrive....If ever. It's really disheartening when a company pretty much ignores you and you've spent over $400 for 2 dolls and a bunch of clothes.
Just out of curiosity does any one know if there are other hands that could fit the old bodies. i love the two i have (yaya, lele) but the hands are huge and i hate that they have no s hooks or joints.
If they did not answer quickly, write again. And again. And again. If they did not answer quickly, it means they will never will, at least this was my experience. They never respond to the previous message, just to the newest one. I guess, when they are closing for the day, they just dump all the unanswered mail.
I have sent like 10 e-mails and have also tried to contact them on skype, with no avail. I had to send TWO e-mails just to get them to invoice me so that I could finish paying off the lay-a-way. They finally sent the invoice but never even so much as responded to the e-mail about the invoice request.... not even a ""okay, we've got the invoice on the way! " notification or anything. It's getting really frustrating
Thanks so much for the help. I've been looking for a more substantial body cuz the whole willowy look feels unrealistic to me. If I wanted to forge ahead in my stubbornness am I correct in thinking I'd need to buy an s hook and either sand or exacto the neck opening larger?
Yes, S hook would be necessary for sure, Mirodoll sells them, too, but none of the ones they sell would go through Lan's head, except for the smallest ones that are too small and are meant for hands, I suppose. The neck on XM body is quite thin walled. I was thinking about just squeezing the ring with pliers to fit it through the head, but it looks like it will drop inside the body if I overdo it. Both of my MSD Resinsoul bodies have much more substantial necks even though the neck is narrower. I tried putting Lan's head in front of the body to see how it might look, it looks kind of small to my taste, but not comical small, more realistic than anime. And, yes, you will need something to carve the head or the neck, and do not forget about breathing protection when you carve or sand.
Make sure to ask which hook will fit Lan's head. When I bought Lan her hook was too big, too, and would not fit through the neck opening of the head as with larger heads. You should probably ask either Resinsoul people, or here on DOA in the resinsoul mini thread. I ended up making a tool for head removal because I could not find a hook in the right size.
