1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Mirodoll Mini Discussion Thread

Jan 27, 2011

    1. I string my dolls the other way around, head first sometimes I use a keyring for the head.

    2. Does anyone know how close of a colour match mirodoll resin is to SOOM NS? I'm fine with at least a 75% match as I heavily blush my dolls.

    3. Does anyone happen to have a comparison image of the new and old 1/4 girl bodies? I've searched but can't seem to find any, argh.
      Cheers.

    4.
    5. Oo i think I found it!

      thanks!

    6. Hello! What fits the girl body, The not new one? Thanks!

    7. so if my maths is correct, the new boy should stand about 46cm tall with the head on?
      Nice.

I'd LOVE a slightly taller one again for those in between boys. I'm pining for a skinny 52-54 (with head on) body. Short sd or really tall msd, it'd be such a useful size for my crew lol. I mean souldoll has a buff 52 and doll family has an immature 52, but that seems to be about it in that region and neither do tan.

Fingers and toes crossed for Miro to come through with that haha. They have so much variety, probably the best range of sizes of any doll company.

Are we gonna see new msd boy or gender neutral heads to go with the new bod? Ooo I hope sooooo.

    8. I caved and got the xm girl body along with the yaya head thanks to the promotion! What size eyes does she take so I can plan ahead (no pun intended)?

    9. HI, first time over here as I have almost all SDs. I got a Lili head for free with my last order of big boys and used it to make a character for Halloween but it stuck, I have sold two of my MSD heads and have a body hanging around. Meet my creepy character. I am thinking about naming them either Dakota, Ryland or Indigo.

    11. Still haven't decided on a name, though they will be a friend to my character whose nickname is Rot. I love this smirky little smile on the scaly face.

I painted her whole face with a thick coat of white acrylic then while it was still wet I covered her face with a spiderweb lace fabric and let it dry. Then I sprayed the head and used different color pastels to color the face then pulled the lace off and painted her lips and a touch of eyebrows.
Her nickname is Rep as in reptilian.

    14. that's such a cool effect, it's like.. super creepy. Clever technique.

    15. I don't think they stated it anywhere in their website ahhh :...(
I wanted to order a Mirodoll Lili while waiting for my first doll to arrive because she is really cheap right now and I have no self-control xD I wanted to order a pair of eyes from alice's collection for her, and maybe a wig too, but the problem is I have no idea what will fit her??
      Can anyone help?

(also is this the right forum? I'm not sure ;; )

    16. Mirodoll recommends 14mm eyes, but I think they are too big and cartoonish looking, I plan to buy 12mm in the future. I tried the 10mm My YOSD girl uses, and while the iris looks good, the eyeball itself is a little small. Here's a quick photo of her with the 14mm grays she's wearing today:[IMG]

    17. You're right that they do not mention eye size on the website for the full doll but if you look at just the head it does say that Lili would take 14mm eyes and a wig that is 6.5 inches. However as @glynis37 states above you might want to try a smaller eye - all depends what look you want to go for.

    18. The eye well is 14mm so a smaller eye will gap. If you want more realistic go for a small iris eye.

    19. So many amazing Lilis have been posted lately! Great photos!

Here's a quick pic I took of my Yaya, who I named Joan, in her new Santa hat:

    20. She is really cute! I'm glad to see all these photos. I was thinking that Bobobie might be the way I had to go, but their faces don't seem to fit what I had in mind. I think Lili would be much better!
