Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Mirodoll Mini Discussion Thread

Jan 27, 2011

    1. They had a major holiday at the end of January so that and Mangotree's family problems have hampered production and shipping. Hang in there.

    2. @Laylin: Either way, I think you will really like your Lili! ^_^ Not sure about heeled feet, though. I haven't gotten around to looking for compatible heeled feet.

@Wabbie-chan: Your girl looks absolutely adorable!!! Love what you have done with her!

@elve: I should say that I do like the torso on the new body.

And I like the look of the arms and legs, but that the joints make her frustrating. Her legs are constantly swiveling on me, the elbow joints have a peanut that's too small to really be of use for double-jointing, and she doesn't sit. There's also no range of movement what-so-ever on the hands. Well, they twist, that's about it, lol! I could probably deal with the other issues more if she would at least sit. My old Volks MSD body sits more than she does. T_T I need to suede her to see how much of this I can over come, but out of the box she's kinda all over the place.

@Kittyholiday: Unoa hands are nicely compatible. Just the teeniest bit large, but work nicely. I put them on my mother's Lili and they're perfect... so they now belong to my mother, lol!

    3. Could you guys tell me if mirodoll 1/4 shoes fit dollzone 1/4 feet dollzone feet are 5.5 centimetres long and 2 wide

    4. @Aara: Dollzone shoes should fit Mirodoll feet, though I haven't personally tried any new ones on the 1/4th Lili we have. The old 1/4th girl feet measure 5cm long and 2cm wide at the ball. Shoulda measured the New 1/4th female body feet to compare, but will have to do so when I get home from work in the morning~

    5. Hey everyone!
I was wondering, for Mirodoll Lili, would she fit a 7-8 wig alright? I know her head is a 6.5 but I was wondering it it would be way to big/loose on her, even with an appropriately sized 6-7 headcap on? Just wondering since I was considering on getting her and it seems like there is a lot more 7-8 wigs than there is 6-7.

    6. @Epona I think so, I have a 7-8inch fur wig that fits my lili just fine.

    7. @thealienprince
Alright, thankyou so much! Still not 100% sure if I will get her, but if I do, I am trying to put an outfit together for her. Then, if I get her, she won't be stark naked.

    8. I have Lili, and she is beautiful, except one of her ears is attached to the jaw instead of where ears are attached normally. It seems that all LIlis are like that. I was very disappointed bythe looks. You do need a big wig to cover that ear. Mine is in the box, I could not stand it. I posted a picture earlier in this thread (page 17).

Yeah, I read about that :( It's unfortunate that was never fixed; it seems Mirodoll digitally sculpts it, 3 prints, and then makes a mold of it that way... Seems it should be an easy fix but... yeah. I plan on giving Lili a long wig though, so I don't think it would be noticeable, luckily. I hope you can eventually have fun with her though! Maybe you can get her a long wig and try to bound with her? Keeping her in a box seems a bit of a shame, if you don't mind me saying. :c

    10. Yeah, maybe I will take her out of the box one day. I got a practice head from Alice's collection, and put it on the XM body. I love how it looks.

    11. Guys I just bought a secondhand Lili head today.
I'm not sure what's happening with her, I kinda like the idea of finding a 35cm boy body or unoa chibi body for her, but it won't be happening for a long time anyway xD

And, having come here and discovered her ears... yeah I just bought some milliput epoxy... I kinda wanted an elf anyway. She makes me think of an MSD Resinsoul Bao, and I had to sell my Bao because of his size. xD

    12. Congrats on getting a Lily head, Calabri!
Yeah, I noticed about the ears as well first thing, but turns out, I've not been bothered about them since. Hehe! Lily is one of the older sculpts, and back in those days Miro didn't 3D print yet. That's a very new development that only come about since the new 60 and 66 cm male bodies, to my knowledge. I love my Lily just the way she is, wonky ears or not though! ;) Here she was just this morning walking her bearded collie Watson:

    13. Lili is so cute, I have her and love her wonky ears and all. I did my first face-up ever on her. I'm ready to change her face-up now, it was hard to wipe away my very first attempt. I have never dressed her in pants as she is such a girly girl, but seeing yours in jeans makes me want to make her a pair. Maybe getting her a new face will make her a pants wearing sort of gal. :)

    14. @Blankqueen Your Lili is sooo beautiful! How you have dressed her I feel really suits her spirit. You've made her so lovely! Very inspiring. Did you do her faceup? Thanks for sharing <3

    15. jhiggi, I feel exactly the same way about Lili. She's such a cutie, even with her little flaw and I've never had a problem with photographing mine even with the ears being crooked. They're always covered by wigs anyway. I'd love to see your Lili with her new face-up then! Maybe indeed she will be a denim girl then! :D

Thanks so much, ella_tron!! I really love this girl and she's been a muse for me for years already. I love re-inventing her with different looks and she seems to be able to pull off pretty much any style. Most often I like her as a blonde, but I thought I'd try a red hair for her this time. Is that your Lili in your Avatar?! Yes, I've done the face-up for mine. :) She has little freckles, but they're very subtle, you can barely see them. In this close-up you can see them a bit:

    16. I'm sorry you don't like the face-up, Laurence5544. But no worries for anyone who doesn't like the promo doll's face-up, as elve said, you won't get a face-up quite like the one in the promo photos. Those are my dolls in them. I've done the face-ups and Miro has asked to use my photos for their promo pictures, but Miro will always do their own version of the face-ups for their customers. I've tried my best to make them look pretty, but I can't obviously make them pleasing to everyone's eyes. Hehe! ;) Miro has a face-up show on their website where you can see what their face-up artist's style is like. It's pretty different from mine. They might agree to doing a custom face-up for you as well, if you ask.

    17. @Blankqueen She is an adorable muse! You've definitely perfected her! The freckles are a really sweet addition, they really suit her <3

Yes, it is a Lili in my avatar. I haven't quuuuiiite figured her out yet, but I'm getting there. She's my first bjd :) I got her in February and totally love her still. I'm enjoying making her things. She has such a sweet face, I feel like she's sort of patiently putting up with all my little sewing and crafting blunder adventures, haha!

    18. That is the best thing about dolls, they always appreciate our efforts to make something for them and never complain if it's to tight, itchy, or a bit wonky. :)

    19. Thanks so much, ella_tron! I have soo many dolls, but Lili is for some reason persists as a special one for me. I don't know why exactly, but she just always makes a smile. :) Your girl is so adorable too. I hope you will post some pics of her with the things you make for her. It's so special in my eyes always when a doll gets stuff made by their owners' very own hands. I try to sew some too, but I'm not very good at it. Hehe!

jhiggi, that is indeed the good thing about the dolls!!! Hehe! I like your take on it!

I've been on a roll with my Miro girls now... I took some pics of Lili and Yaya yesterday morning. The light was so nice and I was trying to capture the freshness of early summer with the girls.
