1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Moggie61 transaction [Moggie's Toyshop]

Jun 5, 2008

    1. Nice to hear from you Moggie! Glad you posted to let us all know you're still there. It was a very reluctant move from me to call you a scammer, but that last revelation got me mad so I cracked. Hope you can pull through whatever difficulties you're having.

    2. We trusted you. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I want to trust you still, now that you've come forward. I don't think anyone here wants to see punishment dealt out, as long as they get their money (and their dolls) back. That's all I want - my money back. I think, more than anything, people have been worried about you, because you just vanished with our money and that seemed to many of us to be totally out of character for you.

At any rate, I hope you are here to make good on these transactions and I hope things are looking up for you.

    3. When are you going to pay them back? I think if people are to trust you in this, you need to give dates and keep them. A lot of scammers have done what you are doing now, coming back, asking forgiveness and then stringing people along until they just give up. Please show us that you are not one of them.

    4. Well, I'm not going to give out false hopes or impressions by giving exact dates on when each person will be repaid. It's going to be as and when I can, as I said it may take us some time. Both myself and Innana are going back to fulltime work. Some orders will be filled and others will be given their money back depending on what they prefer.

Feather - I am not asking forgiveness and if I gave the impression I was, it wasn't meant to be taken that way. I know that my reputation here is not worth anything anymore.

I've screwed up and I take full responsibility for that and whatever consequences come as a result of it. I am not asking anyone to stop taking whatever actions they feel are warranted.

Krissy - I am not deserving of trust, all I can do is make good on everything and until that happens there should be no trust given. I doubt I will ever earn it back.

Chizzie - It's going to take time and the road back looks long from here. All I can do is one step at a time.

    5. I have actually put a note in the news section of the website. Part of the process in fixing the whole mess will involve some trading through the website, especially in relation to products which we make ourselves. The website does not do a lot of traffic so it's involvement is minimal in the strategy. Our main source of sales was Ebay and that has been completely shut down.

    6. As I posted a few posts back, I was involved in a transaction with moggie, which was CC funded and therefore I have put in for chargebacks. So I am covered. I don't wish to make trouble, but what happened to the money that other people, who didn't use credit cards, sent to Moggie? If it wasn't sent on to Dollzone then was it moved to a bank account or was it spent? This "as and when I can" wording makes it sound like the money is actually gone. I think the people involved in transactions deserve to know the full details, especially since it's been suggested that those who paid with cash will have to wait for repayment.

    7. I am only indirectly linked to this whole thing since my Friend Keet Ordered from him using Money from her Debit Card... I know she had about $350 sent to him and I was told by her Paypal Refunded her $200 but That was not from Moggie. Paypal gave her some of it back as compensation for the waiting... As with Bunnydots post I want to know why the Money is gone and may take some time to get back :/ That Money was in large part for Orders and Not personal use so that bugs me quite a bit, I don't know about Other people who need their money back Asap But I know Keet and I would like to see it back as quick as possible Since we had a car accident on 7/20 Money would help a ton :/...( Kind of of topic but still x-x; the refund would help us )

    8. Spirit and Bunny - Like most businesses I was working on a rolling cashflow.

Most companies don't take Paypal from their agents so the money had to be moved from Paypal to a bank account which then gets transfered either to a doll company, shipping company, Ebay etc...... I always ran on a small profit margin, using part of the normal profit margin to cover things like subsidised shipping (no-one ever acually paid the whole amount that it actually cost to ship something), then there were of course Ebay fees, Paypal fees and so on which all cut into profit margin.

I'm trying to think of a good way to demonstrate this. Think perhaps of a car which needs to have petrol put in it to run. The bank account is the car, Paypal is the fuel. The car runs using fuel, this is transfered from Paypal to the bank account. The car then pays all the bills, with fuel being constantly pumped into the tank. Normally this works fine but then Ebay threw a spanner in the works by saying you have to wait three weeks for the next fuel stop. The car of course was still running, dolls had to be shipped, fees paid and so on. My first mistake was that I underestimated the effect that a three week gap would have on the smooth running cash flow. Until then, the cash flow was covering everything that needed to be done when it needed to be done.

There were other issues as well which contributed (broken car for one, can't ship dolls minus the vehicle) and Paypal then began to hold funds and issue refunds which further complicated matters. I had already issued some refunds personally, so not all Paypals doing. At that stage, I lost all the ability the control the cash flow and things went from bad to worse. If I had been able to retain control of the cash flow then I would have been able to meet the demands of business for orders.

I ceased to trade on Ebay around four weeks ago when it became obvious that its new policies and Paypal were compounding the problem. That was my lowest point personally and the world fell in on me.

So now, we are both back in the work force, and looking at other ways to increase cash flow so that funds can be moved as quickly as possible into the Paypal account to finance the refunds.

Velvet - Thanks you for the kind words, your money will be repaid, and I thank you for your patience.

    9. hrm its good to know u are alive, cos i was quite worried about something bad happening...

for now i dun need the commissions but i would love that u can try to ship my 2 kids back to me ASAP

as for the troubles u encountered i do believe once there were cracks u should have repaired em instead of waiting for it to collaspe.... but yeah learn from your mistakes and move on, thats life XD

    10. Okay, posts ARE disappearing from this thread...it just happened while I was reading it! Mods, please explain :?

    11. Perhaps the thread should be moved to the problem transactions section if it's going to be so heavily moderated?
That way at least people looking out for sellers to be wary of may actually see it since I doubt they'll check Buying/Shipping Qs and Advice for such information and since the rules applying to that section seem to be applying here it may save some confusion as to why perfectly valid comments are being removed.

    12. Lol, my post was just removed and so was Moggies. XD I bet this one will be too! Doesn't the rules say that the marketplace is supposed to be mostly moderated by the users?

So why are posts being deleted like this, especially when there is no negativity presented?

    13. This makes no sense, like 5 posts that were helpful, not hostile at all - just giving RELEVANT information have been deleted. Why on earth is this being so heavily moderated?? I thought it was DoA's policy to not get involved in marketplace problems? That would generally entail not taking clear sides and deleting every relevant post that isn't hostile but isn't brimming with praise.. I know this post will be deleted in half a second, just consider what you're doing.. :|

    14. If I remember correctly it was actually moved here from there originally which makes no sense. Is it that "companies" get different treatment than individual members? really, seriously guys...Problem Transactions is where everyone has learned to look for this stuff. Should I start looking here too before transacting with people? Please be fair and move it over.

    15. I haven't been tending this thread, but in reviewing some of the posts that have been removed, they have NOT been relevant (such as general well-wishing at one end and a bit of raving at the other). Keep it on topic. This thread is NOT to hash out your individual issues with Moggie - that should be happening privately. This thread is here more as a warning to others, a way for Moggie to communicate, and also a way for the buyers to stay in communication with one another so that they may find out if refunds and restitution are actually being made. This is still a Marketplace subforum, so chat is not okay here. In an effort to keep this thread compact so that it is actually informative, please keep your accounts factual and as unemotional as possible.

This feedback belongs in the Buying and Shipping or Company Reviews because Moggie is a dealer, and these transactions were done through his personal website and not DoA's Marketplace.

While I'm here, knock it off with the deprecating tags. If I see these again, the people who are abusing the tagging feature will lose the ability to use it. Thank you.

    16. I too have noticed there have been many deleted posts, and am wondering why and what purpose it serves to delete discussion of this topic. I'm especially bothered because I was actually involved in a transaction and now apparently am not allowed to comment on the situation. This sort of moderation does not give me very much faith that DoA is actually committed against scams and fraud, and does not encourage me to post further here on any topic.

Edited to add, I posted this at the same time Armeleia posted so I didn't see her explanation before it went up; however, I stand by my post.

    17. Bunnydots, please see the above. Thank you.

    18. You say this, but..

I'm curious how that's relevant and doesn't count as general well wishing. I really truly am.

    19. I think it should be removed to problem transactions because it has elevated to being more than a delayed shipping/company sent wrong eyes type of situation - which is the jist of most negative company reviews which are few and far between in this section of the forum. I can't think of a single thread here where a company has been taking money for dolls, not placing orders and then not even guaranteeing refunds. There are some ebay only scammers that are in problem transactions, and quite rightly so.

I do not expect to check multiple forums for this sort of thing. In fact, I didn't know I should check this forum for this sort of thing. I presumed any serious company problems would be allowed to be posted in problem transactions. Silly me, I've only been here a few years.

Edit: I would also like to add that I nearly joined the ripped off people here because I didn't see anything in problem transactions. The only reason I didn't buy multiple items from Moggie is because he didn't respond to a simple ebay message.

    20. Agreeing with this. Though I'm new to DoA, it's particularly discouraging to see that posts are being randomly deleted saying they're not relevant, but clearly irrelevant ones are left up. It also makes me question the integrity of DoA to remain in this thread. I'm nervous enough as it is to make purchases over a forum, but this type of moderating makes me second-guess it even more. When something like this goes down, it is important to have the answers and spread the word, not censor mindlessly just because people vent their frustrations in with their information or questions.
