1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

MSD dolls in name only?

Feb 6, 2008

    1. I will be honest about preferring SDs. Yet my favorite doll is my first, a girl MSD. Despite her fairly mature body, I can't help but think of her as a child! I also don't have much of a preference about MSD bodies...it's whatever looks good with the head. ;)

    2. I have a LaTiBlue, named Cara and she is definately not child-like. I prefer her this way, more curvy, more busty than a child. I would guess she is teenager-age.

    3. I prefer the mature minis myself. My characters are mostly adults, but I just don't have the space (or easily attainable funds) for the larger SD dolls. The childish ones are cute, but I'd rather have a tiny as a child, not a mini.

    4. I only like mature minis. I don't like SDs because they're just too big for me, but I don't like childlike dolls at all. Slim/Mature Minis are really just the dolls for me. All my dolls are in their twenties and thirties in age. Childish minis just aren't my thing.

    5. I'm the same as Mirrin, I like mature-looking dolls. Something about most of the childlike ones turns me off.

    6. I also only like Mature MSDs. I feel like I like Yo and tiny sized for the children look.

    7. It depends on what I want to do with the character. If I want a child-doll to go with my adult 1/3 scale dolls, then obviously I want it to have childish proportions. If I want an adult doll, then I want it to be mature. But in all honesty, I don't really collect the 1/4 scale dolls. I've had them before, I've tried them, and they just don't seem to be for me. I am going to give a Chicline guy a try, because they seem more like pocket-versions of the full-size dolls, which may work for me as a just-for-fun sort of thing. But so far, none of the 1/4 scale dolls I've owned have stuck around for good. I suppose it's because I'm not interested in children all that much, so I don't have many child characters, and because all of my dolls are character based, which means they need to be in proportion to one anther (which rules out the adult 1/4 dolls being mixed with the adult 1/3 dolls).
