https://denofangels.com/threads/200-–-muhan-doll-shark-full-doll-pale-tan.857231/ Here is the link. It says June, which is weird, cuz I'm sure I saw it at the top of sales yesterday.
I'm so happy to see this thread pop up! I love Muhan's adorable baby dolls! I wanted Shark very much, but decided against getting the blank doll and instead will try to snag a painted one from the secondhand market. I have Momo - she seems to be an early head sculpt by Muhan and didn't come with a body. I have her on a hybrid Akagidoll body and it works well ^3^
I've got shark on a piggy body and am just waiting for her head to come back from the talented @Atra where she's been for a faceup. I love her little tiny teeth!
You can find faceup artists on Instagram and Etsy as well. It depends where you live and how much you want to pay. Popular artists tend to charge more. It’s worth shopping around.
I've sent 3 dolls to faceup artists before, but only directly from the seller. I've never sent one that I already owned, as I just can't bring myself to actually send them away once I already got them. I can't drive too, so posting would be such a hassle.
That's a tricky one! I can't drive, so I rely on my husband to take me to the post office >.> But some couriers will pick up from the house, I think? They do in the UK, including the post office. I've used a local faceup artist who is very good and am just waiting for my Shark head to come back from Italy - another great artist. The other thing I so is to buy most of my dolls second-hand so they already have faceups. It's definitely a problem - of course you could also learn to do faceups yourself? I did try once but the result was a bit funny.
I still live at home, but my mum considers it a waste of money, lol. I have tried a courier before but I can't remember what happened. They wouldn't pick up from where I lived anyway. I buy all my dolls second hand now, and I've been extremely lucky with many of them. I actually own all materials needed for a face up, but living in tropical Queensland, the humidity is often well over 70%. I think the sealant is best under 50%. I also can't find many local face up artists at all. It's a really good thing that Piggy is such an adorable sculpt, he barely even needs to be painted.
Oh gosh! The humidity could be quite tricky for Mr Super Clear and things. It is tricky if you live somewhere remote. I live just outside the city of Bath, so Royal Mail etc will pick up.
I just finished paying off my Lamb the other day! I'm so excited for it to arrive... They're so cute!! Still not exactly sure what I want to do with the faceup, but the face is so cute, there's no wrong answers...
I paid off my Lamb as well. Deciding on a faceup is super hard. I am thinking of a mushroom or cherry blossom fairy. Then going for a basic faceup later.
oooh, mushroom and cherry blossom fairy are both super cute ideas! I would love to see how those looks turn out if you go for them! Also, good luck on getting Bear, too!
I am going to start their face ups today, so if they work, I will upload some photos. I managed to grab Bear too. I didn't realise he was on the taller body, so he is a head taller than all the others who are on the Piggy body. I now have to decide on keeping him the tall one or swapping with Lamb, as they are both tan. I thought Lamb might be cute being the tall one out just for something different, especially as girls often get their growth spurt earlier.
Ugh i think muhans mianmian is one of the most beautiful dolls i have ever seen! I wish i had money! Also she only had 5 face up slots and they're already filled. Her face up is so so beautiful
