Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Muscular female dolls- who wants one?

Jul 27, 2015

1. Yah, optional breast size - small, medium, large - would be awesome! Also, well-toned but not "She-Hulk". Ideally, something that would work with my Volks Garnet head - muscular but still feminine enough not to make her look like a boy (which is already difficult enough with that head. ;) ) ...

2. I'm between the 1 and 2 range-- I've had an Oc that's more on the toned/muscular side that I would love to get in doll form! I also agree with the others; muscular but still feminine and different breast options would be nice! :)

3. I think I'd put myself between 3 and 4; I have no real active plans for any muscular ladies, but having the option available would be quite nice, and I'd love to see it for others. (I'm blanking on both the doll's and owner's names, but the muscular MNF lady mod who's around here is stunning.) Who knows, maybe having the option available in multiple sizes would inspire me!

4. That's Rosslyn's Moira. ;)

5. Thank you, Jany! I knew it started with an M! :D

6. I definitely want one - or several. I second the viewpoint that a large bust should not be mandatory. Active women generally wear compression bras. Female bjd heads need more character and maturity. Of course, this doesn't fit in with the "Asian aesthetic" of egg-shaped, girlish faces. Let's have some freakin' cheekbones and jawlines! Really, it shouldn't be hard to modify a male body to have smaller waist, possibly narrower shoulders, a less "stringy" neck/collarbone area, and smaller feet.

7. Me me me! i'm very interested! ^_^ I have tried to ask Iplehouse with others, but they don't reply anything so I guess they are not interested. But do not forget Immortality of Soul!!! They are making a bit muscular female body. They said this is going to be the same size range as Iplehouse girls, so I'm looking forward to see more! Immortality of Soul has ok blushed match to Iplehouse and Spiritdoll for sure, I have tested so I'm going to have a Iple + IOS hybrid if the final product look good and is suitable. :D https://www.facebook.com/dollios/ph...0.1438097146./546730285439259/?type=3&theater

8. 100% in the #1 category. As someone who is into fitness as a career, I would love to see a more muscular female body for my dolls. I don't really care what size chest it has as girls that workout have as varied a size as all other girls, and a lot of the companies that have been mentioned offer multiple size chests :)

9. I would buy one. I wanted a muscular female SD character and the Nobility Custom order was a fiasco, in spite of the great efforts of the lovely people organizing it.

Moira is my attempt to give myself an MSD muscle girl, and she took some serious work.

Edit:
:blush
Aw thank you!

Moira says hi.

10. Although I have muscular female characters that I enjoy, to be honest I would not purchase one in doll form. That's not to say that I don't think they should make one (or more for variety and options), as I do think it would be wonderful for others to have this choice. But I personally like my dolls with a softer, "meatier" look (if such a thing really exists for BJDs), and I'd rather focus my efforts on getting some girls produced with smaller breast sizes and more height options.

11. I'm definitely a no.4 on this issue. I personally am not in need of one, but I think they should be available to people who do want one. Unfortunately, as bjd body's are a sort of 'glorified' version of real person's body's, and what humans want to look like. As not many women want to be very muscular, and men don't particularly find very muscular women attractive. Maybe company's think nobody wants them. Though, I think you're totally right in trying to make this a poll, because they need to know what you want in the end. Then they can make it, and please everyone :)

12. I'm gonna go with 4. I like my girls curvy, delicate and non muscular but I most certainly think the option should be there for those who want it. The more variety the better! And if it was well made and nice looking, who knows, maybe someday I'd want one too. I agree with those who mentioned the breast size too, super huge boobs on a muscular lady just doesn't work for me. A body can be beautiful and feminine without looking like someone put two baloons under the skin.

13. You better believe I would!

One of my female characters would actually be more actively shelled if she could have a more muscular body because she is very athletic, and he line of work is extremely physically demanding.

I hope maybe Iplehouse will decide to make a muscular female body. I know they could do it and make it the most stunning thing on the market.

14. I would absolutely love that, so I'm obviously going with 1.
Since I'm playing soccer in my spare time and know what it's like to not look delicate or 'slim' at all, I'd be so so excited if a few or even just one company decided to offer more muscular female bodies! I would definitely craft myself a soccer girl. :')

So I guess Im voting for an athletic, 'muscular' body, because too many muscles or body building isnt what I'm looking for tbh.. I'd just like a more realistic span of options for female bodies; not every woman looks the same, so why should all my dolls represent delicacy. I like sportsy bodies, so of course I'd like to get it doll-sized.

15. If there was one to buy, I'd be first in line for it!

16. Could someone tell me why the group order of muscle body was a fiasco years ago? I know the body, I think it looks quite nice but it's so short? Short girls are nice, but most of my females are 65cm so shorter but bulkier girl would look more cute than powerful strongwoman :D

17. I'm totally 1-4... or... well, I'd be 3 then! (I'm indecisive, what can I say? ) I'm the kind of person that is inspired to make a character by the actual sculpt/doll, instead of creating a character then shelling them as a doll, because, well I'm weird. But actually seeing a muscular female body sculpt for sale would totally make me want to create a character to base around it. :D Not to mention the overall aesthetic would be something I'd be into, since it's super neat to see unique and new BJD body types.

18. Oh it was tall enough, around 61 or so I think, but everything else, from ordering to shipping to the horrific lack of anything like quality... it was bad.
Here's my blog post about it at the time.

19. Wow.. that was quite a horrible story :( A person in Finnish community sold this body many years ago and I was tempted to buy it but I just can't take any shorter than 65cm so if there's a company which could make one, I'm totally out if the body is smaller than 64cm, just my character problems, they're already all Iplehouse EIDs so... :(

But a body like this would be awesome in general, in any size!

20. I am all for more variety of any kind in body types. I feel like the hobby went from having a lot of smooth, lythe almost elven boy bodies to nothing but huge muscle men with 8-packs while the girls went from being petite and curvy to huge and curvier. There really isn't any variation in between or entirely different unless you want those same bodies with hooves or wings. When I have seen some companies doing WIPs of muscular girl bodies, all of the muscle detail has been scaled back or lost in the casting process. I am surely seeing some interesting innovations in body styling for single artist studios making mini girls, but not much for the larger girls.

At the same time, if a sculptor (either as a solo sculptor or working for a doll brand) isn't personally invested or interested in creating a muscular female body type but makes one anyway, we'd probably see similar bad results to the Nobility doll. All sculpts start from a point of interest or inspiration on the part of the sculptor, it's just the nature of this hobby, so I don't think general fan demand will make it happen. I think sending words of encouragement to the sculptors who have already leaned in that direction would go a lot further towards getting this type made. I'd think sending some fan mail to IOS, Dollstown, Grenado, Iplehouse and the like to let them know how much you've liked where they have headed with their body sculpts and that you hope they will consider taking it further with their girls.
