1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Mystic Kids 1/4 Discussion

Jan 9, 2013

    1. Trethowan, I've got my dolls from happylife998 on ebay, and you can get them as full sets there. This dealer should be listed on MK site in dealer section, at least he was the last time I've checked. We've confirmed he's known to MK through the official Russian dealer. MK also have another official dealer on ebay - mskokokok888 - this one is advised, actually. So you can talk to them about the Sean suit. Full sets for new dolls are not available as far as I know. And MK have a 10% discount event now.

    2. Thanks for the resource! I'll have to check them out next time. :-)

    3. I was browsing JS for an MSD sculpt to turn into a dolly version of a truly awesome movie character, and came across the Mystic Doll sculpts. I adore the Gene sculpt! He looks much more mature than most MSD sculpts, which is exactly what I was looking for. does anyone have any pictures of him they could please share? The search function came up pretty sparse.

    4. I think some doll collectors have been using that sculpt for Shingeki no Kyojin Levi, maybe? I am currently unsure, but maybe this will help to look it up?

    5. Hi. I was wondering if anyone have a comparison / reference of the white skin tone and yellow skin tone?

For the white tone, is it opaque (paper white) or does it have a tint of colour to it? Or is it a little bit translucent / pale? (sometimes I thought the pink tone is white >.<)

For the yellow tone, is it like yellowish pale?

    6. I have a small concern and a question. If anyone is willing to help, I would appreciate it very much.
      So here's the situation:
I preordered two dolls and two head caps from Alice's Collections on May 25th of this year. The order status is still "processing". Has anyone faced such a problem? If not, any suggestions as to what I should do?
Thank you ever so much in advance:XD:
PS: they are Mystic Kids, Lillian and Natalia, just in case you're wondering.

    7. Ciel98- I ordered from Alice's Collection on June 14th. A whole bunch of things including a Full-set Mystic-Kids Lillian. I waited a month but didn't hear anything about shipping, so I sent Alice (alice@alicescollections.com) an email asking what happened. It turned out that some of the products that I order a dress and shoes of some things were not made yet so to save on shipping, Alice was waiting for those to be done before shipping them altogether. She replied really promptly! We resolved it, Alice ended up sending me my Lillian (who is beautiful and just amazing) first with the other things that I ordered and I will wait on the other clothing later.

So I would recommend that you contact her directly with your order number and ask her what is going on. She was really kind and prompt in replying back. The shipping took almost less than a week! She's sitting nicely in my living room now. :)

    8. Hello everyone! I just order my first bjd, a mystic kids Lillian. Hopefully soon I'll be contributing to the thread with lots of pictures! :D

am I right in thinking msd size clothing in General will fit? Any brands I should stay away from?
do 1/4 dolls take 7-8" wigs? I have no idea what size eye they take.

sorry for all the questions. :p

    9. largowinter- Thank you so much for your reply dear~ I did contact Miss Alice as you suggested, asking for a status update for my order. She said that it would ship out in a week~:danceI was beyond thrilled. And I am also glad your Lillian arrived safely! Again thank you for your help ^-^

supernova- congrats on ordering your BJD. Lilian is my favorite sculpt from Mystic Kids!
For clothes, most MSD sized clothing will work, but they might be a little baggy, so you'll have to alter them. My friend ordered from Dollheart, and she quite liked it. As for wigs, 7-8" is quite good. The Mystic Kids doll heads are relatively small compared to other BJD. I hope I helped~

    10. Ciel98- I'm so glad that got resolved for you! So excited for you!

Supernova-I've been wondering about the eye size too, I wonder if 14 mm will fit. I even looked at their website but it doesn't seem to say what the eye size is.

    11. Ciel98 - thank you for the info! If msd clothing can be baggy does that mean mystic kids are slim bjd like minifees?

largowinter - I'm sure someone here knows which size fits best but I would of thought 14mm too. :)

    12. Largowinter, Supernova - Alice's Collections lists Lillian's eyes as 14mm, so i would try that size first.

Btw. i ordered Lillian too, not long ago. She seems to be very popular :)

    13. Supernova, MK MSD come with 14 mm eyes. 14 mm darker ones are a bit too dark for my taste, but all in all the size is ok. If you prefer a bit more realistic look, try 12 mm. I changed to 12 mm for mine, like how it looks.

    14. supernova-yes dear, they are considered slim MSD. if you are good at sewing, you can alter them to your taste. But I think Dollhearts is a good choice. If you want quality items and don't mind the size, then Alice's Collections have great quality clothes~

largowinter- thank you again for your concern and help dear~ much appreciated. As soon as they arrive, I will post a picture of them!

    15. Alton/ riin - thanks for the info! I'll try the 14mm

ciel98 - I'm terrible with sewing, I have a fear of sewing machines (well machines in general really). I'll look at doll hearts and Alice's though!

    16. Supernova- heh that's alright. I can't sew either. I wish you good luck in finding the perfect clothes for your doll~

    17. Qifeng's going on my list, oh my! I'm not fond of his stock photos but have you seen that face blank? Imagine his dreaming eyes opened up. He would make a great serious or grumpy looking guy! I'm in love. Their bodies look breathtaking and the prices can't be beat! He's so cute, I must have him. :...(

    18. My Evelyn was the first doll I ever got I really love her, though it's hard to find shirts that fit her long arms! xD[IMG]

    19. Ooo your Evelyn is beautiful! I love the colour of her eyes.

my Lillian should be home soon, I'm waiting for the dreaded customs letter to arrive. Hope it comes today so I can try and pick it up from the depot. :)

    20. Oooh, she's pretty! I like her outfit, too, even if you do have difficulty finding things.
