1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Mystic Kids 1/4 Discussion

Jan 9, 2013

    1. Hmm...

I have a taller 1/4 boy (not Mystic Kids) who is about 46cm and he wears pants made for Tonner. I can't say if MK boys would be able to fit in them, though, since my MK is on the girl body.

Spiritdoll boys are tall, too---perhaps you may find some ideas in that thread? I wish I could help you more. :sweat

Your Dana is very pretty! I love her red hair. :D

    2. That is a fantastic photo @Riin! The composition is beautiful.

    4. Thanks for the reply, PeppermintPocky! I've got some old Tonner pants around here someplace. (Funny, I use to collect Tonner 16 inch dolls before I discovered BJDs.)

And, a belated Happy Valentine's Day to you. Your Lillian is such a pretty girl!

    5. Got a total noob question for everyone. What is the best shoe size for MK girls? 6cm inner, or 6.5cm inner?
I'm eyeing a pair of flats on eBay with a 6.5cm inner, but I'm worried that that may be too large, especially since my girl won't be wearing them with socks.

    6. Happy to help! :thumbup

And thank you for the kind words on my girl. :blush

I've been having some difficulty finding shoes for my Lillian, myself. I've gone through three pairs. :sweat She has slimmer feet than many minis----my next pair is gonna be MNF/Unoa-sized, and I'm hoping those fit her better.

Sorry I can't be more help. :sweat

    7. I found some really cute flats for my girl on ebay. The dealer identifies them as for a 14" Kish doll, but they fit the Mystic Kids feet perfectly.

    8. Thank you both for the excellent information!

@PeppermintPocky thank you so much! That is very helpful. I had no idea that their feet were slimmer than other MSDs.

@k-meister OMG thank you! I'm looking at Kish shoes on eBay right now. There are some adorable options to chose from! :love

    9. So, i am tempted to try to hybrid Mystic Kid body to a DikaDoll head..

Question: How white is Mystic kids white, and how do you like the body?

    10. I can't comment on the color since my girl is in Normal Pink; but I can say that I absolutely love the MK body. It's extremely sturdy and has beautiful proportions—it's quite natural-looking, which I love.

I think my only complaint about the body is the arms. They pose somewhat awkwardly in my opinion, and I sometimes have a difficult time getting them into a position that doesn't look stiff. But that's the only negative for me.

    11. Seconding the comments RE: Mystic Kids arms. I would say the same about my Lillian.

Can't help regarding how white their WS is in person, but I know @NekoNyanMew has a WS Francis SP. Maybe she can share her opinion on MK WS if/when she sees this. :thumbup

    12. @Tehkiwi106, here's a photo of my Normal Pink Skin Evelyn next to my White Skin Francis SP:

The white has got a very milky sort of look and feel to it. It's not so paper white that it screams out at you, but is obviously much paler than any kind of Normal Skin you'll find on another doll. The bodies are wonderful posers - some of the best I've ever seen.

      I hope this helps! :thumbup

    13. I finally finished my Lillian's face-up. This is my first BJD face-up, but I'm pretty darn happy with how it turned out. <3

    14. Your Lillian looks great! Very impressed by your first faceup, too. :thumbup

    15. I've been remiss in not sharing my Evelyn, Coralena, here:

    16. You are very welcome. :)

      She's beautiful!

    17. Ooo, she is so pretty, @mousethatroars! And what a cool story for her! <3

    18. I have a Natalia and I love her to bits! (: However does anyone else have the issue of the stringing being really.... tight? So much so that her hands don't really bend the other way and sometimes snaps back?

I'm not sure if this is normal for a bjd though, she's my first doll :nosebleed
