Name an item you wish you got before it was rare or not as expensive

Volks Dollfie Dream Yor. I normally don’t like collaboration dolls, but she’s gorgeous. Unfortunately the second hand price is out of my budget for the next few years and will likely go higher/scarcer when I could afford her. Unfortunately I only got into the anime/mangas well after she was released.

 

I'm also in the Dream of Doll boat. I really wish I could have gotten Sha especially.

 

Since her release, I wanted a Luts SDF Chloe with Body Type 2, but regretfully, I never got one. Though the doll itself and the head sculpt are still available, Body Type 2 is discontinued and now she only comes in Body 5-8. Though I love Body 8, the broad shoulders are not what I had in mind for the particular character I wanted her for. I'd have to get her second-hand, if at all.

 

I still metaphorically punch myself over not buying a Cuartosdoll while they were still being made, because I thought they did not come assembled and was worried I wouldn’t be able to put it together. Really though, I wish I could’ve gotten on the Antares bandwagon during that first preorder, but I was far too young and did not have enough money or experience for that.

 

Doll stockings. Not that I don't have a bunch already but they used to be everywhere for super cheap and in a colorful variety of different designs. Now I only see the same ones that I already have, or direct from doll companies, at over inflated prices.

I also regret not nabbing an Enfant Ai Choo doll and buying more beautiful stuff by Beach Girl Nikita and Dorset. They both made the nicest fur wigs and clothing for dolls in just about every size, shipped so fast and their prices were unbeatable. They're still around on Etsy but their stock is very sparse these days .

 

Luts released Bory - Holy Side while I was taking a break from the hobby. Since then I have not seen this doll for sale in a secondhand market.
I also regret that I didn’t buy Dollheart Fer.

 

I regret not buying a DDS Anthy when she came out originally. I was on a short break from the hobby due to having kids and I'd missed getting her for retail price by ~2 months. Getting her secondhand was worth it, but oof, I think she's the doll I've paid the most for in a single sitting.

 

Oh, Anthy... I sympathise with you since she's such a beautiful and faithfully made doll, but it gladdens me to hear you got her, even if at a price...
