I looked at comparison photos too and they don’t look too bad next to 1/8 dolls, it is similar to how an older infant and a toddler can have the same size head but different size bodies. Here are measurements for Nappy Choo All about Nappy Choo~! - Neo-AngelRegion I also figured out that the iMda Bebe are definitely remakes of Happy Choo.
@Leeza~Kat , As NineOneThree said, Etsy is a good place to start. I have a few things from View Nappy Choo by GuguModa on Etsy that are very nice, and I just ordered a few things from View Nappy Choo BJD clothes by felizzzzzzz on Etsy I didn't look any further because I didn't want to spend any more money!
I'm about to place an order for two of them. Marc and Dalang. Do you *need* super expensive nappy choo eyes, or can you buy regular eyes in the correct size?
I sure hope regular eyes will do. I have several pairs of leftover eyes, and I was hoping I would find suitable ones among them.
@yafashelli , as spih said, you don't have to buy the Soom eyes. They recommend 12mm so I would start with that. But sometimes people find different sizes more to their liking too.
I ordered Dalang and I’m hoping I have clothes that will fit. Even though there are a couple sellers on Etsy that make stuff for them, I’m not finding exactly what I want yet.
I can repair and hem, sew on fasteners, patches, and embellishments, make a box stitch and bows. I think I could make clothes as long as there isn’t any ruffles, pleats, or gathers but I have never tried.
Couldn't pass up on a Nappy Choo, but I did order the Soom eyes because I don't think I have any that size kicking around unused. I have some of those mini Christmas ornaments from Hallmark and hope they're a good play-scale for Nappy Choo. One is of those rainbow baby ring toys and the little Fisher Price school house.
I cannot BELIEVE that I've missed ordering Marc AGAIN. Honestly this hobby sometimes drives me to tears +_+
Dalang is shipping! Of course a couple things I struggled to find are not here yet but at least I have a couple of options for outfits.
My Nappy Choo and Dalang are shipping, too! I hope it does not take too long. Mail has been slow lately because of Covid-19.
I had things shipped with China EMS take a really long time but Korea EMS was still quick the last time I had a doll ship from there, that was back in December though. This will be my first doll in awhile so I hope it won’t take too long.
My Nappy Choo tracks as being in Seoul P.O. I've always had fairly quick arrivals from Neo-angel Region, so I don't expect it will take too long.
It will depend on the route the package takes. It will probably leave Korea promptly but if it needs several stops on the way, it may take longer.
Dalang is out for delivery, let’s see how my carrier handles it this time…they like me to chase my express parcels down . She was shipped four days ago.
My doll is stuck in Chicago customs which makes me very nervous since an incoming doll was lost there two years ago. Once it's on the move I should get it the next day as I'm only one state up.
@phanuel, I hope it works out better this time. I have only had something go through Chicago customs once and I got lucky even though I typically have bad luck. Usually the things I order go through New York and I rarely have issues there. My carrier delivered Dalang and I’m in love, so cute .. I need to think of a name for her and get pictures soon.
My Nappy Choo and Dalang are stuck somewhere in Munich. The shipping from Korea worked faster before Covid-19 when Finnair had direct flights between Seoul and Helsinki. Now EMS packages go through Middle Europe and seem to be stuck somewhere for days before they are put on the next flight.
