1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Narin Creative/Dollfair Waitlist and Resolution

Oct 16, 2010

    1. Thank you for being so kind...I was just getting ready to send you a PM and tear my the rest of my hair out in embarrassment, lol. Good luck to you as well :clover

    2. EDIT: Would anybody be willing to compile a clear and competent written statement about this whole situation with me? I think if this is going to pursued further we are going to need more than forum posts, and have long description of events in chronological order. I need help because it's going to be a beast to dig through all the threads and quote Catrina, get all the facts where they need to be, etc.
If we're going to take this one step further I think this is something we need. Just send me a PM if you wanna work on it. It's probably going to be like 15 pages long, but I want everything in there that's happened (or that HASN'T happened as far as doll not being delivered, refunds... etc)
I think it would be a great tool for everyone here to use because really.... if you're an outsider looking in this whole situation is really confusing, heck I came back after 2 months away and had to read though 70 posts to be caught up and understand.

It can be sent to the BBB individually by all of you and added to your IC3's.

Hey to those of you who are filing IC3's this might be a helpful link for you to add to it:

      http://www.bbb.org/cleveland/busine.../dollfair-international-in-berea-oh-12004229/

So they can see her F rating.

      Also has addresses etc.

    3. I am in paris too, but I ordered to my mother's address in the states because it was supposed to be my birthday present in october. I am not sure of what I can do now. Or what I should do. I just have been waiting. I'd really just like my money back if the heads aren't coming.

Can anybody give me advice as an american living abroad? I have my moms address at my disposal for refund or anything like that...

    4. Hey at this point there's nothing you can do but file and IC3 with the FBI.

I'm going to try to compile a statement to present to the FTC as well.

      FTC: http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/contact.shtm

You're not at a disadvantage by living abroad.... i think everyone is in the same boat right now.

    5. I'd just like to reassure Twigling and Stella Maris and anyone else that reassured me that the Briar dolls were in stock on the Sleetwealth Briar thread, I don't blame you at all, I went ahead and placed the order in good faith and was willing to believe that I would get the doll I paid for. You all said what you did in good faith too.

It's only really since being sent that email on December 15th saying that it was being posted out, that I would get a tracking number next day, then getting every emails since then ignored, that I have become really worried. Reading through this thread and also the Limhwa thread also, it's difficult to ignore the mounting evidence.

Anita has posted on her blog today that she has no further connection to Dollfair and that people should not order Briar from them. I just think the continued silence seems like an admission of guilt now. If Catrina really intends to sort this out now would be the time to finally get every single order filled and refund sent, no more excuses, no more delays.

On the subject of Marina/Enchanted Doll, we only have Dollfairs word that they are working together, I have never seen a mention of Dollfair on Marina's blog or in any of her interviews. She just says she is working with a resin casting company. Strange that she has always been so reticent to name them?

    6. Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you know that I called the Federal Trade Commission and filed a complaint. As I got a refund they just registered the complaint. They also recommended that I file something with the Ohio State Attorney General's office.

I let the lady know that there were a LOT of people involved in this, and she said we should all file with all three: IC3, State Attorney, and FTC.

      Number for the FTC: 1-877-382-4357
      Link for IC3: http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx
Link for Ohio Attorney General complaint form: http://www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov/consumercomplaint

Link to Dollfair's Better Business Bureau page (has the address, etc): http://www.bbb.org/cleveland/busine.../dollfair-international-in-berea-oh-12004229/

      I'm sorry I can't help more.

    7. Nocturneofsilence thank you so much for putting everything in one post. I'm out $760 for Neferti and body and I appreciate all the help I can get.

    8. No, we are grateful for how much you've provided, don't worry. :) That's a lot we can work with. Also... if you still need help with citations for a written history, I have all the screencapped posts you would need. I can upload them or send them to you if you are still working. I also have Bimong's posts, for what it's worth, if even because there might be some grain of truth in them about what he says about Dollfair.

Edit: I have now filed complaints with BBB, the Ohio Attorney General linked above, and the FTC.

    9. Thank you for the information! I'm not in the Narin problem, but I am in the Limhwa/Dollfair one, so this is very helpful...and scary...but helpful :)

    10. BBB complaint filed. ...sigh... BBB used to mean Bobobie to me. :(

      FTC filed.

      Ohio attorney general filed.

    11. This probably won't help much either but I'll add to the list just in case:

I looked up "Can I sue someone through Small Claims in another state". It can be done but in Ohio you'd have to present yourself in person to file and you'd have to pay all travel expenses etc...so unless you live nearby you'd have to be pretty determined.

Consumerist.com is just a consumer affairs blog owned by the Consumer's Union. You can blog tips and complaints but they don't intercede for you...just a place to let other people know about consumer problems with a company.

    12. Just wondering if anyone is on other BJD forums, is there anyway of knowing if other people are also waiting on items/refunds from Dollfair? I wonder if there is anyway of setting up a site where everyone waiting on a doll or refund from Dollfair, whether it be Narin, Limhwa, Briar, whatever the doll, just so we could get a better idea of what the scale of the problem is.

What about a blog on Blogger.com, everyone could leave what they are waiting for and the cost involved is on there as a blog comment? Would that be useful? Or is there a better way to compile a list of everyone with outstanding issues with Dollfair?

    13. There is a Wiki List here on DOA for resolution status about the Narae problem. Probably anyone buying from Dollfair could add their information to that list. An announcement could be made on the Limwha and Briar Waiting Room threads...but aren't some of the Limwha members receiving their dolls? None of this makes sense.

In the Customhouse Waiting (and Waiting) Room v6 Hobbysue and I started a self editing list right on the thread. I'm on the same list in Fairyland so I copied their idea (thanks FL) and it works great. If anyone is interested here I could start it (or anyone can) and members can add whatever they want to about their current status.

[edit] Does anyone know if Marina Bychkova of Enchanted Dolls is a member of DOA?

    15. Good lord, what? Is he offering compensation? 0_o Or maybe he has dirt on the situation? That's... interesting. Who wants to check that out?

Edit: I decided to check that out. Let's see what happens... o_o

    16. I don't think it matters anymore what anyone says, just what actions they take. By the numbers it sounds like Catrina refunded down to about $4,000 that she said she paid Bimong and then hung everyone else out to dry. If Bimong is willing to compensate with dolls or funds it proves his good character. But no matter what anyone says it is and always has been Catrina's responsibility and obligation to resolve every issue with the person she had the contract with....whether she loses money or not. It's clear from the stories from some of the doll artist's she's represented and many people who purchased those dolls that something is very wrong with the way she runs a business.

    17. All of that is true. Sad, and really true. It's pure curiosity that's made me contact Bimong as per the terms of that mysterious site notice. I still hope Catrina comes out to own up to this mess.

    18. It's not clear yet but from some things I've read on the internet she may surprise everyone with some interesting news soon. In the meantime keep blaming someone else for all these problems or ignore them as she has been...

[edit] Let us know what Mr B says...he usually responds very quickly

    19. I emailed Bimong. Figured, what have I got to lose? Curiosity and all...

    20. I'm not sure I remember, but how quickly does he usually get back to emails? I'm just antsy right now, haha, waiting on a few things at the moment. Also so incredibly curious what he means by that message.
