1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Narin Creative/Dollfair Waitlist and Resolution

    1. I heard she'll be announcing her US production of a line of resin dolls created by Marina Bychkova of Enchanted Dolls?

    2. Catrina NEEDS to take care of some unfinished business here FIRST.

    3. Well, I think it's pretty obvious she's not going to...

    4. I've been asked to post this email. This is from an IDEX volunteer (yes, IDEX people are watching this thread, apparently...fun fun fun) who wanted everyone to know some of the security stuff at the con.

"According to IDEX security, in order to take pictures of any of the booths you have to have permission of the booth owner to take the picture. You can have your badge taken away, your camera confiscated and even be escorted by a security officer off Shingle Creek Hotel property.
It may be open to the public sat-sun but there are still conduct rules that have to be followed. When you purchase your registration badge you agree to those conduct rules stated by IDEX.
IDEX is not new to people having problems with vendor and exhibitors, they can and have taken badges away from anyone who is suspected of disrupting the event (silent disruption to outright) or anyone harassing exhibitors at the event. Harassment or inability to follow any of the conduct rules can result in serious action from IDEX and from the Shingle Creek Hotel chain. IDEX staff is very protective of all of their exhibitors, no matter the situation.
This is just a friendly warning as I don't want to see anyone have to leave because of a photo!"

Please note this person stated to me that they are just a volunteer, which means they most likely work the door at panels or the vendor room or something like that. I don't think they know what's going on here or IDEX's stance on the whole Dollfair situation, they just wanted to be helpful about what you can and can't do at the con according to the rules.

    5. that is interesting Ophelia B, and what is the IDEX policy for artists and vendors representing and selling goods for artists under false pretenses?

    6. rleigh252, I imagine the answer is "not allowed" but I will email the volunteer back if that's what you wish. In any case, they ARE aware of this thread and they ARE aware of the blog, so I imagine they are aware of the Lilycats situation as well and would correct it in a moment if they knew.

Quite honestly, I would suggest that those in touch with Lilycats tell her to inform IDEX of the situation and provide pictures. That way it can be dealt with before the vendor room opens.

    7. Ophlia, if you take issue with something i wrote in my blog i dont think it is appropriate to snark about it in the waiting room.

The only place that taking a picture has been mentioned is on my blog, and not on DoA. If you have issues with me, please take them up with me instead of further causing grief to the people who are already distressed by bringing in something that is off topic to THIS specific discussion thread.

The mods have already been really kind in their requests that people who did not buy directly from Dollfair during this unfortunate time not post in this resolution thread.

    8. Nocterne, I'm not taking issue. I am trying to state what I feel would be the most expedient way of addressing the situation "selling under false pretenses" that someone else raised.

    9. Please read and repeat...

    10. I think Nocterne is talking about your original post:

"According to IDEX security, in order to take pictures of any of the booths you have to have permission of the booth owner to take the picture. You can have your badge taken away, your camera confiscated and even be escorted by a security officer off Shingle Creek Hotel property.

no one here mentioned taking photos....

    11. I think that OpheliaB was responding to comments made about Dollfair's attendance at Idex, and reminding people that it might not be the forum for addressing her about your complaints. I don't see how it could be called snarky, did I miss something?

    12. To update here:

I emailed my Dollfair order info to Bimong and he added me to his list. I told him if I had the option I would take the Neferti head instead of a refund. He said he will make her for me. Not the tan I originally ordered....but that is okay.

    13. So, I emailed Bimong my info but he said I have to be a member of his site. I tried to sign up, but for some reason an error code came up that said: check your email. Any suggestions?

    14. Send an email directly to Bimong, he has been very responsive. Just remember the time difference.

    15. Thanks Stella Maris! I always keep the time difference in mind as I have a number of forum friend's who reside there. ^^

    16. That's cool, I have friends who live in California who can't seem to remember there is a time difference between there and New York. Sigh.
It has never taken him more than a day to get back to me.

    17. That's an interesting development, but also really heartbreaking. =__=

    18. I can hardly belive it. We've really been taken for a ride, huh?

And has anyone been refunded it since Catrina's 'husband' promised he get around to it? no, didn't think so.

    19. There has got to be a way to get IDEX to really pay attention here. It wouldn't reflect well on them to have a scammer selling at their convention. Could they be made aware of the fact that there are open cases with the Attorney General, the feds, paypal and the BBB. Wouldn't that carry some weight? I wonder if there's a head honcho type person we could contact directly.

    20. I hope something can be done soon. Poor lillycat is having her sculpt marketed at that time according to her blog. A poor copy, but still using her name.

Got a reply from Bimong! Sounds promising. ^^
