1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    2. Can those in the US not take Dollfair to the small claims court?

    4. I am going to say something that may make me unpopular with some people, but perhaps it needs saying...

I am of the very strong belief that if you don't like something, you should do something about it. I don't have a great deal of sympathy for people who complain but don't do anything to fix it. If you really do care about your doll, and want it or a refund for it, then do whatever can be done to make that happen. Don't just sit back and fume; use whatever is within your realm of control, which in this situation is precious little. DO something about it.

We have been told that the more people who file with these agencies, the more they will pay attention. We've been told this directly by these agencies. Please, if you want any possibility of this ending with any measure of happiness, do something about it. At least you'll know you did everything that you could. It's obvious Catrina will never do the decent thing, so do what you can do to pummel her and to hopefully prevent her from doing this to others, though frankly, at this point, making her suffer sounds way more gratifying.

So do whatever you can or quit complaining.

Sorry to be so blunt. Please, we all need each other, we need each other's voices and support, we cannot resolve this as individuals. I care, I want everyone to have a happy (or at least acceptable) resolution. PLEASE do whatever you can. Maybe together we can make this happen.

      One voice from the many.

    5. Oh right, that's different to the Small Claims Court in the UK, I believe it's not that expensive to do it here, although there is a limit on the claim.

    6. I have just filed a complaint with this group.

I have also looked into the small claims court route, but I agree, extremely cost prohibitive.

I also looked into a class action suit, but I'm not sure this situation qualifies. It's meant for things more like bodily harm from a drug or device, that sort of thing. I guess we could check further, but I'm thinking it won't be eligible.

    7. It's difficult as I'm in another country, but those of you in the States, I would definitely go with the Consumer Action group. This is exactly the kind of situation they were set up to deal with and they will take you seriously. For anyone in the UK, I doubt there are enough of us to get BBC Watchdog interested UNLESS Catrina moves her business to the UK, then it will be a different story. Small Claims actions over here are quite cheap but very rarely chase up payments even if you win. The business just has a Small Claims Court ruling against them if you look up their business records. I don't know the extent of the powers the Consumer Group will have but they will definitely be on your side.

    8. i got the same answer.
i did not paid with paypal, so what should i send to bimong????

    9. I will file with the group obsessed_mimiko found soon.

Bank called me back today to reject my chargeback dispute. For some reason they felt the need to explain to me that February is eight months later than June, as though I'm too stupid to figure that out. They WILL NOT do anything for me because it's been longer than 60 days.

So what do I tell Bimong? I didn't pay via paypal and have no recourse through my bank. :/

    10. Can you get something in writing from the bank? Tell them you need it for your records.

    11. I'd have to call them and deal with them again, but maybe. Also--just tried filing with Consumer Action, but even though I only hit the submit button once, it said 'error-exceeded number of emails that can be sent per day', so I don't know if it actually went through. >_o

    13. Sadly, I think this is a different, maybe nicer, way of saying the same thing. If Catrina chooses not to reply, they do nothing.

    14. Tosh: That's the same message I got. It's kinda disappointing their using the same cookie cutter message.

Basically the general consensus is that if Dollfair/Catrina doesn't respond then that's it? Of course Catrina doesn't expect us to go to small claims court since it would cost even more time and money that we don't have. This is getting even more frustrating....

    15. I don't know if this will help you, but my mother was at Idex and spoke to a short woman with Blonde hair? I tink. She gave her 7 copied pages for the Limhwa doll. She left the www.limhwa.com website and a phone number. She wanted me to call her about a doll. 216-598-1000.

I don't know if this is a legit person or the one you are trying to get ahold of, but she was at the Limhwa table.

    16. I looked back through some correspondence with Dollfair, back when they answered emails. If anyone is thinking of contacting the Ohio Police Financial Crimes Unit as suggested on the blog:

      http://dollfair2010.blogspot.com/2011/02/notice-from-me.html

then I would do it right away as one email mentions she is coming to Wales in March. Time for anyone undecided to spring into action I think.

    17. Bimong has made another post to his site. I'm slightly confused by it but maybe it's a schedule for production? So he's going to try to fulfill all the blank Neferti orders first, and so on

    18. I cna't beleive she's going to skip the country with people's money! This must have been on the books for quite awhile - so she obviously knew was going to end up in hot water with what she was doing and planned ahead for it. I still find it hard to belive there was some this dishonest in our community.

I think i've done everything I can at this point, filed with Oho attouney General, phoned Ohio Attourney general, filed with IC3, Filed with BBB, filed with paypal, phoned paypal, this week I tried to do chargeback with my bank account since it's connected to my paypal, but they say it's too late. Anyone know what else I can do?

    19. I have no proof that she is moving here permanently, but add the fact that she told me she was dating a man who lives here, the reference to being here in March and the statement she is moving production to the UK, and it all adds up. I wish I had realised that this might happen a long time ago. I never mentioned her association with Wales because it seemed like her personal life and I had no idea she would just ignore you all the way she has. I just pray that something can be done.

    20. Is there a way to do a bulk email or pm to all the people on the "got screwed" list? Try to get them to file with the various agencies. Because it seems to me that there are a few of us posting here, but only a handful; we really do need the rest on board with this. We could maybe email/pm a request to file, and put the links in?

I'm worried that if she really does flee the country that we'd be utterly screwed. I don't know if we'd have any recourse with the British government.
