Neo-Angelregion iMda doll - Discussion Thread

Hey everyone... I am also thinking about the new Babette... because I sew I can't bring myself to pay lots of money for outfits but I do think her outfit is really adorable.

Do you think both wigs look too small?

I definitely want her freckled face up but am not sure about wig and eyes...

 

Hi Quanita I'm an ex-South Aussie but now I live in Qld.

I can sew as well (went to TAFE to learn dressmaking etc) but I like the new outfit as well. I've just placed an order for Babette and her outfit - just waiting for Victoria to combine it with Picro and Sammi. One of the wigs seems too small and I think the white wig is a tad over-priced. I've found a nice rose pink wig that I like better.

The face-up is lovely and even though I do my own face-ups I was very tempted to add it to the cart (but I've spent enough lately)

 

There is a new Agatha that will be available Oct 31st!

 

Thank you for the heads up Nancy! Agatha Looks like she will be very pretty. I was sorry I didn't get one. I hope they have a WS version!

 

Since it says a "limited quantities", it might be good to ask if she will be available in WS now!

 

There is only going to be 3 of her, according to the picture. It says "Only 3 dolls"

You are right! I totally missed that pale heading! They must have had a very limited supply of something for the outfit.

Did anyone/everyone get their doll to sit or stand eventually?

I wired and sueded Monika and she sort of sits. It was better when I freshly wired her, but now she's reverting into her old floppy habits (the wire may have gotten twisted - I need to take it out and see). Even newly sueded/wired, she never sat up straight and leaned back quite a bit. I generally don't handle her much because of this

I fully sympathize, Jane ! I passed up on a number of iMda dolls that I absolutely loved because of this issue. I just can't justify buying another SD that just sits there, propped up by the back of the shelf.

I've been wanting an Agatha, Little Hope in particular, for a long time but despite WTB's here and on other forums I've never seen one for sale. So when the new one was announced I knew I had to try - despite the fact I'm in England and this was the week the clocks went back making things even more difficult. So I set my alarm for the middle of the night and ......... it was worth it! Naturally I found it a bit hard getting back to sleep after all the excitement.

Soom don't know how long she'll be - I have to ask them again at the beginning of December. I also managed to order the Natassa and Little Hope outfits the following day. I'm still hoping that a blank Agatha will be released as I'd like an old fashioned child like Little Hope, but I'm thrilled to be getting my 'toxic' (that's Bing's translation from the artist's site) girl.

 

Extreme measures I know, but you can put armature wire through the torso as well. It's a shame she's such a lump, she's an adorable doll

 

Hilarie, Congratulations! Getting one of three dolls is very lucky! I hope you can share her when she arrives!

 

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into it! Her head is so heavy that the regular wires just don't cut it. I've been waiting for iMda to redo the body. All it needs is a slight alteration in the hip and upper thigh area to make her at least sit better. It would also be nice if the body had thicker resin - it's just too light to balance the huge (but gorgeous!) head.

 

That's interesting, Anna. I might see if I can put a bag of 'baby beads' in Agatha's lower torso as I do with my cloth dolls to make them sit better. It depends how accessible it is as I probably need a figure of eight bag to fit round the strings.

 

I was just thinking about what you could add to add weight to her bottom. I think I need to restring Natassa and see what I can do!

What clothes fit the 5.2 Any good sites? Im new to soom :-)

Congratulations Hilarie! I missed out on her So bummed.

 

I think maybe Soom is testing the interest in the 5.2 dolls. I am hoping they'll improve the sitting abilities of the body and do a "standard" release. I need to restring my Natassa before I can even try clothes on her!
