Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. I'm furious with Soom this morning. I've been asking about the 5.2s. In November I was told that they were releasing Agatha again in December and other 5.2s throughout this year. I asked again a fortnight ago and was told they weren't going to be released. Then the fullset Agatha appeared last week.

      So last night I left the page bookmarked and went to bed (I'm in the UK so 11.00am Korean time is the middle of the night for me) and set my alarm. When I saw the price of the fullset I gave up and went back to bed. Then this morning I discovered that they'd also listed 10 blank Agatha's without any notice and they'd all sold out too.

      I was lucky to get an Agatha on the previous release but really want a blank 5.2 as I have a particular character in mind. I don't think it's fair of Soom to release a limited doll without any warning - especially when it's late at night for many countries.

      The good news is that I got the shipping notice for my October Agatha today. I've been dying vintage shoelaces this morning in the hope I can insert a covered armature wire (many shoelaces are hollow) to help her pose better.

    3. I really don't have a problem with posing my Laureen. I don't even think I've hot-glued her. What DID help was putting a silicone kip between the neck and head so that it's easier to keep her head in position and use it as a counterbalance. The caveat is mine is generally standing and usually on a saddle stand, but she can free-stand as well. She's not as solid as the 3.0 iMdas but solid enough to photograph without a stand. I think the body is quite graceful and elegant. I hope Soom does more basics and bothers to tell us in advance about them.

    4. I don't have too many problems getting my 5.2 to stand, but sitting - forget it. When I had just freshly wired her, she somewhat sat (still leaned back, but at least didn't topple over), but now that the wires are probably worn, she's not cooperating again. I really like the lines and stylization of the body, but I do wish the hip area would be tweaked to make these girls sit solidly. The hip socket needs to be a bit deeper to allow the thigh to go further up when in a sitting position. Also wouldn't hurt to add more weight to the torso in order to balance the big head.

      The only reason why I don't have more 5.2s at home is because there's only so much I can do with a floppy doll :(

    6. Yes, she arrived about a fortnight ago. I didn't keep her default outfit on her very long as she was a bit cold in just a corset, hat and knickers! I was also very lucky to find a Laureen who arrived about the same time. Here they are in their new Leeke synthetic 'mohair' wigs.

    10. I just happened to go on the Soom site and clicked on the blank Monika. It didn't say she was sold out like when I checked the other day so I bagged her. Very happy to finally have one of these girls.

    17. Congratulations keewee! I'm still waiting for my Monika (Victoria says the beginning of August) but that could be because I have an Amellia, Agatha and teddy in the same order. I've actually lost count of the iMdas on order - they've been replacing a lot of my other types of dolls and are the only ones I'm buying new.

    19. I haven't shared my CW Monika; I really like her. I had Laureen but have a friend who wanted a NS iMda, so I got Monika to replace her. Her white is a lovely white. (My faceup, not Soom's)
