1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

New B&G Size - Leile

Dec 26, 2008

    1. Valli, that does sound scary, I'm sorry you're going through this. Of course it could be true but it's hard to tell. Was this a person from DoA? Have you checked her feedback? You may want to consider posting this question to the Marketplace's Buying and Selling Q's and A's section. I have had excellent results with responses there and they may know more than I do (which is nothing). Other than that, you may have little choice but to wait it out and see if you get that tracking number. *Good luck* and keep us posted.

    2. I checked and she has no feedback and only 47 posts. I took the risk knowing that, hoping to give her a chance. I'm really not sure what to do, but thing I'll take it to the Q & A section.

    3. Good luck, I'd like to hear how it turns out for you...*_*

    4. I still haven't heard anything. I'll give them one more day and then I'll take some action. This is really upsetting.

    5. I'm so sorry to hear this, Valli what an awful situation. I've had similar troubles but nothing like this. I think you're best bet is to take action as you say. It may be worth just getting your money back and forgetting this transaction entirely. There is another Leile in the marketplace if you decide to still try for her. I'm sure this whole thing will get sorted out very soon.

    6. Thanks Mitya. I have just heard back and the seller has written to me saying her friend send the doll and has the tracking number. I should get that tomorrow. We will see. I have time to wait and see if this doll arrives according to paypal rules. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt as she may well have been in hospital. I don't like to think ill of people and I'm very patient. We will see.

    7. True, she may have been in the hospital. It's awful to think of the other possibility. I'd give her benefit of the doubt too, but at a certain point it's only fair for you to take action. Unless she's unconscious, she should have managed to have a friend or neighbor take care of it. I would have, anyway. Or offer you the option of having the money returned to you until she's home again and can follow through with sending the doll.

    8. The doll has been sent, but I've still not been given the tracking number as her friend sent it for her. She has written to me and we are conversing. I'll let you know when I get the number. I think she's genuine, but there's just a niggle until I get the tracking number. I want to see where she is!

    9. I've just had this response from the seller

There was something wrong at the post office tracking number I receicved doesnt work. I have to go back monday and see what happened. I have the insurance slip and receipt and monday ill know more.

I've told her to scan it and send me a copy. I'm not happy. This doesn't sound right at all. I've never had this happen in the 5 years I've been buying dolls from the States. Something is very wrong.

    10. Valli, I agree something is indeed wrong. Trust your instinct always. I would go ahead and file a complaint with Paypal for a refund. I would do this now before it gets much later and you're unable to get your money back or your doll. If you feel it first that you should take action, I would go with that feeling.

    11. I agree completely, that's beyond smelling fishy. I mean, how unlucky can this person be?

    12. OK, here is the latest response after me asking for proof.

Look, I wanted to wait to ship it but you were insistant it ship out when I was still sick. I have been selling and buying on Ebay for years and have 100% feedback.I had no control over what happened at the post office because I was not there. I will send you what I received from them and you can see it is stamped from them. The Doll, has been sent out. If it does not get to you for some reason, a refund will be issused. This has never happened to me either. Like I said when I can get down to the post office MONDAY I will find out whats going on. Im not trying to cheat you, I understand that you feel uneasy, I apologize. This is the image file large and scanned as is. The little side portion has been detached and added to your package. Its on its way, I assure you. I dont like this situation either as a buyer I understand. I will keep you informed.

      Annie

I have not been rude, but I have been surprised! I never knew her name was Annie. I've always called her by another name as that is also the name her friend used for her. I have seen the receipt and it is stamped for the 16th April by the post office. I will just have to wait until Monday now. Though I don't think it's my fault that something went wrong because I insisted the doll be sent out asap. I paid on the Friday and she was supposed to be send on the Tuesday. Annie went into hospital on the Saturday. I wrote late on Tuesday asking whether the doll was shipped and that's when I heard from her friend. It is a mixed up kettle of stew to say the least, but I do feel I had a right to ask the doll be sent. I really hate making a fuss and am extremely patient. I feel very upset about this, but have remained my usual calm and friendly self. I will wait, but I do appreciate all your comments. I need some support.

I have asked to see her feedback on ebay for reassurance.

    13. If I were her, and the situation were true, I would be full of apology towards you and cop less attitude. I think you have every right to be concerned when there have been excuses and information coming from apparently different people. See what happens Monday. It's not your fault the situation has seemed shady.

    14. Thanks for understanding. I really hope the dolls arrives, but if not... then I want my money back, of course. I won't be dealing with someone with no feedback here again though. It's made me very wary.

    15. Try not take her response to heart. Keep in mind that if she is just overcoming a bad illness that her emotions may be running high and she probably just misinterpretted something you said. She probably didn't mean anything by it. I know when I have been ill for a while, I tend to get short with hubby. Of course I don't mean it, but it is an unintended side effect. She's probably going through something similar.

Also keep in mind that text based communication is flawed in that it is hard to accurately convey intent. The inflection of our voice helps to convey the intent of what we mean to say, but this is lost in email and PMs, so it could have just been an honest mistake. She may have just misread something and took it as rudeness. Coupled with her illness, she probably just snapped at you over a misunderstanding. So try not to take it to heart.

As for the problem itself, sometimes you need to give it a little time. True, she should be able to provide you with a working tracking number since that is what you paid for, but keep in mind that if she is shipping from the US, your doll may just be stuck in customs and if so, there's not much she can do. But once she finds out why the tracking number isn't working and gets it to work, it will alleviate a lot of stress. Even if it takes a long time to receive the doll, just knowing where your doll is exactly and being able to check on her will help the time pass by easier.

Good luck. I hope it all turns out well.

    16. Thanks hun. Yes, I explained that very thing about emotions in emails and said that she would not have heard a harsh tone in my voice, but one of concern. This is one of the greatest and worst forms of communication for that reason. I will just wait and see what happens, but expressing my fears here has helped me feel supported because of all your lovely responses. Thanks heaps!

    17. Guess what? She's here! The dress I made her fits and some of the my other patterns can be easily adjusted for her. I bought a Latiyellow wig from Rubyred and it was a tight fit, but as it has elastic it's fine. The resin is quite yellow, but I guess that's normal. I don't think she suits the brown wig, she might be a redhead. Need to try other colours before buying yet another wig!

Anyway, at least things are sorted. When she's had her faceup done, I'll post pics. She has beautiful turquoise eyes. She's going to be so cute!

    18. So pleased she's arrived, Valli, and looking forward to seeing her - relief all round!

    19. Oh thank goodness, Valli I'm so happy for you!:D I was really worried but I'm so pleased to see she's come home to you at last:D Yes, do share some pictures when you have a minute!

    20. Thanks you two. I appreciate your kind words. I'm relieved too. I've just finished painting her and trimming her wig and she's gorgeous. Really really gorgeous. Pics when I can as it's bedtime now.
