Okay, here's a couple of photos taken of my Winney at the meetup: She fits well in Barbie outfits. Still trying to find shoes that work for her.
Awww, she's adorable! I hope we see more coming in, I'd love to see photos with other dolls for scale.
clochette, your winny is so cute in that outfit Kiki! Thanks for posting photos of Leisha~ I've waited so long... she is sooooo cute! 33
I just got my Leisha today (unpainted photos coming as soon as the camera recharges) Is anyone else having problems keeping the head on their Sweets? I don't know if I want to try and make the groove in the neck deeper because there's only so much resin there, but a couple turns and her head pops right off. Maybe a small washer would work.
I bought a 1/4" metal washer and threaded it under the S-hook and now the head is staying on great. Here are some unpainted photos of Leisha's head since I know some people were wondering I'd also recommend replacing the S-hooks in the wrist with either tiny real s-hooks, or string. I was pulling one hand and the wire completely unbent and snapped the elastic back down her arm. While the resin is definately pink in tone when compared to say Volks NS, it doesn't appear pink at all otherwise. The resin is nice and smooth with minimal seams. The ball-joints on the feet are really strange and don't seem to fit quite right, and I'll definately be glueing them down once I sand them to fit better so she can stand without wobbling her feet. Eyewells are very thin and lovely, and despite some of the photos I've seen coming in both the default eyes and wig fit fine. Size 6/7 wigs are fitting nicely, and both 12mm or 14mm eyes depending on the brand. She's a tiny thing!
Thanks to all of you who posted pics. These girls are absolutely wonderful. Packed with personality. Great wig bjdconfused. I am trying to remind myself no more tinies!
I modded my Leisha's face a bit, but here's a non-factory-faceup with the default eyes/wig. and a darker wig She's too small for most 10" Tonner Ann Estelle/McCall clothing and definately the shoes won't fit. I have some Yo shoes on the way but I'm thinking they'll be too large as well.
She looks so sweet and sad at the same time with softer makeup. My default face up is really, really dark which makes her seem older and with attitude that I wasn't expecting. I LOVE her promo pictures but that is NOT the personality my girl has!
That Shiny has the cutest pooty upper lip.. Wonder how they compare to Yo? and of course then I have to see the Pocket Fairy sized one.. too cute.. of course I just got those Fairy land tinies. and I thought NO MORE TINIES!
My Leisha has finally arrived! Her name is Mai. Here are some pics: More here Shes very cute as she is now! But I'll be changing her faceup as it isn't really what I had in mind for her personality. Let hope it goes well for me And astrosnik, you're right that I should replace the S-hook, as the S-hook almost straighten out when just pull her hand out to take a look as it restricts her hand movement alittle. The wig she came in is alittle loose, but works well with some velcro/non-slip mat on her headcap.
Gosh these little ones are so cute.. owner pictures are really tempting me I have a request of those that own these dolls - could anybody compare the resin color to Volks's pureskin if they can? DIM announced they're changing their Love line's resin color to the same as Sweet and I'm wondering how close it matches to Volks, if at all. Please and thank you!
Rose, they are just slightly shorter than Yo and thinner than BC, and the feet are closer to Cherishdoll size...my Winny fits in boots from Tonner's Wicked Witch. Her hands are pretty petite as well. She fits easily in Barbie clothing. Ann Estelle/Bitty Bethany and some Yo clothing are too large for her, imho. You can put Yo shoes on her and make it look like they fit for pics, but her feet actually swim in them. Colorwise, she's a lot paler than my Yos, much like the color of Serendipity Cumi. Volks resin has a yellower cast...not sure if my Yos are pureskin or not, but I have pretty recent ones, so I would imagine they are.
Liesl can get away with the Volks rainboots but the other pair of Yo shoes I got were almost twice the length of her foot. -__- The color is completely different than a Volks doll (mine are all oldskin, but close enough). While it doesn't look strange on it's own, in comparison it makes the Volks look extremely yellow. This photo doesn't even show how bad it is, I'll try to take a better one later. The barbie clothes I had were all way too skinny, but she fit a baggy Ken t-shirt and cargo shorts for a Volks Neo-guy-goh. The only Yo clothing I had was the raincoat which is okay, it looks like that pink outfit fits really well. I had to downsize the sweatshirt pattern I found in the sewing forum. I hope we have a local meet soon so I can compare her in person to Yo and Leeke kids before buying too many clothes.
