Oh Koda, little Mai and Kumo are so cute...Mai look's so sweet in her outfit and with the blue eye's...look forward to seeing more of her when you have altered her faceup
These two photos are absolutely gorgeous!! I particularly like the whole look of the outfit in the second pic... Can you tell me what wig this is - and its size.
RESIN: can someone compare the dim resin on these girls to volks yo-sd for texture? is the resin smooth to touch? is it more rough like the blue fairy resin? any thoughts on the type of resin would be great as compare to volks. If anyone has a white volks doll resin (newer) and can compare it to these girls that would be great too.
TreeLore: the resin is more similar to Customhouse than Volks. I'm not sure how to describe it, except that it seems a little lighter and slightly more brittle (may be due to size) than Volks, without the same depth and translucent-sheen to the color. It's a very smooth and high quality resin. Personally I think Volks has the smoothest resin of all. I don't own any whiteskin dolls right now but here's a comparison with Volks and Customhouse normal-skin resins:
Oh thanks!! that helped allot. I do like custom house skin. The color on your girl looks good not too pink which I know was an issue before DIM reduced the pink!
I've just finished doing a re-faceup on my Leisha today! I think she looks sooo cute 33 DIM did a great job with the mold more
I'm completely new in the world of tiny, but I just absolutely fell for little winny. I was wondering if anyone knows what sized clothes/shoes are out there, and were are some good sites to purchase from? Any help would be awesome ^_^ These little darlings stole my heart
I think these are starting to sell out, but this seller on ebay has one http://cgi.ebay.com/Dollfie-D-I-M-S...7647277QQihZ009QQcategoryZ84635QQcmdZViewItem
The Sweets are a little smaller than Bambicrony and Yo tinies. Your best bet is to find snugger-fitting clothing for those dolls, available occasionally on the Bambicrony and Volks websites, the marketplace and sometimes ebay.
Almost any 37mm shoes will work, though obviously some are cuter than others. Another source of clothes are Ginny outfits, but the sizing is so inconsistant that the clothes are always a gamble. Pants, tights, and shoes never fit, but dresses that aren't too short (longer than mid thigh length) will often fit.
My Winny wears Barbie clothing, works pretty well. Shoes are more difficult...her feet are much smaller than Yo. Right now I've got Tonner Wicked Witch boots on her, but you may want to check out Juju's Dolly Mall on eBay. http://stores.ebay.com/Jujus-Dolly-Mall. Her feet are 3.3cm, which puts her in the same range as Cherishdoll, Lati Yellow Special, so maybe look for shoes on those sites as well? I've used Kish Dolls of Many Lands shoes on my Winny successfully.
Some barbie clothes (top) might fit, but its a hit or miss. Both YoSD clothes from Volks that I bought fits well (loose but looks totally acceptable).
Thanks for all the help guys! ^___^ I'm completely new to these little ones, so I need all the help I can get XD
I am bumping this old thread up! I have a Leisha now and am at such a loss to where I can get her shoes!!!!!!! Do Cherish doll shoes fit? Or any other shoes........*dies*
Seriously, any 37mm shoes will fit. That includes Boneka, Monique, Kemper, and Playhouse. I got about a dozen different shoes from Audrey's Doll Gallery (www.audreysdolls.com), Denver Dolls (www.denverdoll.com), Juju's (www.jujusdollymall.com), and Doll Peddlar (www.dollpeddlar.com) and they all fit and looked fine. I'm sure there are plenty of other sites with that size. Also, some Tonner Marley shoes will fit.
