I received an email from Joan at Dollfair saying order #78 would go out on Thursday and we will be sent our tracking numbers. I am so excited to see this little one. However the weather has gotten colder now so it will be a challenge to sand her and get her body blushed and nails done. I am anxious to see what clothes and shoes she will take. And although I was asked about wig color, I have yet to be happy with any wig that comes with my bjds. So I hope I have something on hand that will fit her! It usually takes 4-5 days for my EMS shipments from S.Korea. So next week she should be here! YIPPEE!!!
Oh, I can't wait to see her dollswest! I've been looking forward to this little one since she was released! Post lots of pics.
Zoe is here!! She arrived today and I am quite pleased. First plus: she came sanded. I don't have to sand her. I will blush her but must wait until we get a bit warmer here. Second plus: she fits Boneka clothes, size 18, just like Riley Kish. And the shoes as well. The cheaper shoes I got for my Rileys do not fit. I have to use the good Boneka ones. Well now I will have more orders for Nancy at www:letsplaydolls.com, my favorite shop! I love to knit and sew but if I can find cute clothes so well made as Boneka's, I shop! I had this wig on hand, which I was hoping would fit her. She poses well but I think I might have to tighten her up a bit. Her larger bum makes it difficult for pants so she will be in dresses. Oh, and I don't have any panties that fit her yet. Take a look and see what you think of her!
I think she is lovely, Dollswest, I've been waiting to see her! Is she the same size as Riley then? Very pretty and versatile I think, congrats on your lovely doll
I should have mentioned it. I was just so excited! Zoe is the tanning French resin. It is quite nice, not as dark as the tanning on my large Narae. Maybe it is because the parts are smaller that the color is not so intense. Not sure about how that works. But I am quite pleased with her color. And again, it was so nice to see her seams sanded! As far as size, she is about the size height as Riley but different body altogether. Zoe has this bigger "bum" so my Riley jeans won't work at all. Underpanties are not even a close fit! Now, shoulders and arms are the same, so dresses are no problem. I plan to order more from Nancy, plus get more shoes. The Boneka shoes are $20 each, but they do fit nice. But after spending $30 plus on Dollheart shoes, not too bad of a price! I was not happy with the wig I was sent. No news here though. I have yet to like a wig that came with any of my bjds. I can't tell you the money I have spent on extra wigs for all my bjd kids. The wig shown on Zoe is a mohair wig that I took from a vinyl doll by Berdine Creedy. She was the ugliest doll I ever bought! The wig and outfit were the only things worth hanging on to. So I am glad Zoe can wear it. I think I have some other mohair wigs lurking about that might work too. I want to play around with her today. She has lots of toys and furniture that will work with her. So she will be lots of fun! Glad to hear you like her!
My Narin Firefly ( no nme yet) arrived yesterday...SHE IS SOOoo CUTE!!! AND YES indeed....she wears Boneka outfits perfectly!!!! She stands beautifully..... Got to go play....
So glad these little darlings are starting to come in. How long was the wait? Dollswest: Zoe is adorable. Her resin looks beautiful and very translucent. Lovely. Congrats on your cute girl. Love her name. (I just adopted a rescue iguana last month and named her Zoe too ) Your Zoe is so much cuter though.
Thank you Laura! She has stolen my heart! RoseAnn - did you have fun playing? Where are your photos??? I have been playing....
The little dress Zoe is first wearing is by Boneka. You can find a HUGE selection at www.letsplaydolls.com. I plan to order a bunch more dresses from Nancy as they are reasonable and so well made. The above outfit, pants and sweater, I made. I sell the sweater pattern, but if you don't knit, that won't do you any good. The pants I made before for my Riley Kish dolls. The pants fit okay enough. I want to make more. The best patterns for Riley can be found in a book by RoseMarie Ionker, the founder of Boneka. I think Amazon sells her books and maybe Denver Dolls still does. I think the book is called "Dressing Small Dolls" but not sure. Hope that helps. She is such a fun doll! Also, Oriole Adams-Harris has some Riley patterns to. Go to www.adams-harris.com
Oh I love that little braided wig on her. She really is such a cutie. I think I want one. Sigh. The list just keeps growing.
