Welp, I've been sucked in. I'm not going to use the R. PI bodies, though - I like my anthros more balanced, rather than just 'animal head on human body'. Looking at the measurements and the comparison between the sizes, I'm going to try putting the Demon/Charlotte heads on the regular Pipos bodies. I do love the outfits, so it's going to be a shame to let them go, but since they only fit the R. PI bodies, they wouldn't be much use to me XD I'm so glad they released these, though! I have three characters who were originally slated to be a Pipos Cheshire, Bao and Dali, but they'll work so much better as three sneaky slit-eyed cats!
maybe you could use the stock photo, say you have only just ordered, and tell about the character anyway. the rest of the questions could be answered based on what you have seen online.
Did anyone else see the blank face pictures yet? They're over at the Pipos Manuals - a picture was added to the end of Demon and Charlotte's pages! You can really see the differences in the sculpt.
*sighs* I was so going to buy a Dali when these things showed up on the site, blank and naked... they weren't impressive or anything... but when I saw the fullsets... deeeaaath of meeeee! I ordered the fullset girl, and paid in full for her.... a few hours ago. I can't wait for her. This is the 1st doll I get that doesn't have a character or anything but I just couldn't pass on her! Nope!
Hmmm after seeing the blanks, I'm still digging the girl x_x I really like her little mouth and overall proportions and faceshape more. The only think I like better on the boy is the profile (and the fact that it's a boy). Sooo if/when I get the girl, I'm either modding the body to not have chest (though she may still stay a girl) or if I don't like the posing afterall, buy a different body for reals... So tired of body shopping x_x I don't know how people with a ton of dolls do it, I'm tired after body shopping after two.
Okay does anyone know if the measurements on the Pipos site are usually accurate? I want to sew something for my Charlotte (i think I am going to call her Anais or Elvira... I already have a Pipos mango, and she is my darling, but her character is far more mature then her body type.... I'm tempted to see if I'll rebody her in these new bodies.... the females body looks ideal, and I would keep the more feline paws on her rather then the human ones.... I don't like that there is no body joint though. I wonder how hard it woudl be to modify the area under the chest to allow for a joint there.... I already have a solid chest for my SD boy doll and it drives me mad, I'm getting him a new body. Mind, I would keep my Mango still... I would just perhaps remake her as the other dolls kitten. Hmmm.. we shall see. Finding a face up artist to do the custom work to rebody her would be difficult and I do not have the funds for it right now.
So who ordered Charlotte and Daimon? I'm ansty just waiting for mine to arrive... alrthough I know I can't expect my Charlotte to arrive before August.
I caved and ordered both Demon and Charlotte. I've split off Demon's outfit and body, and will end up trying to sell off Chalotte's outfit/body as well. I'm planning on putting the heads onto grey Pi bodies (ideally I'll be able to find some somewhere for sale, but if not all my heads will just have to share my Cheshire's body). I'm also planning on painting my Cheshire up to match these two, and I'm considering even modding his ears to match theirs (since his face shape is so different, he'll need everything else to be as similar as possible if he wants to fit in with them XD). Cheshire's definitely going to be stealing the beast hands for himself - I always wanted a pair for him. Not sure what I'll be doing with the tails, though. I think they might be a bit too long for the Pi body... so I'll either mod them down to fit, or sell them on as well. Demon and Charlotte are going to be my two characters Döv and Muet (who were originally going to be a Bao and a Dali). I'm so happy Pipos released some more cats - I'm really looking forward to having a troupe of them around the place!
sharnofshade what a great idea! but will your Cheshire like sharing his body? XDDD Pipos have said the gray will be a bit different.... I hope it'll match and I can't wait to see how they look on the Cheshire body, i also want a boobless body for my Charlotte...
