New Pipos PO-11 Cats!

Pipos grey is much lighter than Soom grey, at least in my experience. Pipos is closer to Iple's "rose grey" just without the pink tint.

I can try to get a picture with Jam Mouse, Bygg, and Luna Tamer in a day or so if anyone wants to see.


I like the new cats, I'm just not sure I need one...

Here you go. Pipos White Jam (Vanna) & Grey Jam (Foggy), Soom Bygg (Moxxey), and Iplehouse Luna Tamer (Sterling). Please forgive the general lack of faceups, I'm a bit behind due to packing for a move.



I took three shots in different lighting conditions; this is the one I felt best showed the difference between Pipos and Soom... but it's slightly more distinct in real life.

I'm still going to buy the Bygg head in the marketplace (your Moxxey is sooo cute!!), but I'll keep my eyes peeled for another body for him as I think you're right, this would not be a good match. Darn! haha. Gotta find another way to get my hands on that little goat walking stick.

Thank you nataluna, I realised I have a good amount of points at Pipos too, which should help with shipping. I only like shopping with DDE because of the lower shipping costs. Pipos is definitely lovely to do business with!

 

That would be sooo awesome. *__* I would definitely need one of these cats if they could wear wigs, for sure.

 

This is a little bit random, but I would so love to see this cats with ... cat legs.... thats one thing I wished anthros had.. I wish they didn't actually look like they had human bodies so much as animals walking up on their hind legs. Didn't someone else say that earlier in the thread? Well it made me have a "hey...!" moment. I wish that'd be an easy thing to make, but hrrrm x_X doubtful. I think that would increase the already overloading charm dramatically.

 

yes i think someone used the a technical term about how the cat legs have an "elbow" where the human legs have a knee. or something like that.

hey i was just thinking, well, this doesn't help much on the catness factor, but does anyone know how dikadoll's grey is? i just remembered they have grey. not sure if they have a YoSD, though. i was looking more at their MSDs and their smaller tinies.

 

lots of people DIY their own wigs to fit around ears. i think it's just careful measuring and/or testing while deciding where to make the holes.

 

I think Dikadoll is a darker shade of grey like Soom. I've seen some Bygg hybrids with this body and the match looks pretty good. perley posted a photo showing that Soom is darker than Pipos.

 

Digitigrade legs! That is so what they need.

Seriously.... I'd love to see an anthro doll with some. Soom does them well, but sadly, they don't do solid anthros. Or anything near msd size. Come on Pipos! Help us out here! We want horribly adorable charming anthros with these kinds of feets plz.


And yeah, I've been tempted many times before to try making some. I've yet to actually attempt it. xD

 

Okay I think I MAY have to attempt this. I've already drawn some sketches... But I know nothing about casting, so even if I got good clay ones, there's nowhere I could go from there as far as distributing them to others... Anyone who knows how to cast that would make a partnership? And I mean. In the US.

Well, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it...

Something else that REALLY annoys me about the pipos dolls are the paw hands. I seriously... dislike the 3-fingers-and-a-thumb thing. Cats have four "fingers" and obviously another one that WOULD be a thumb if it were opposable.. so it just feels sooo anatomically wrong x_X and I would immediately be selling mine.

And perhaps making replacements... I also don't particularly like the way they do claws on them, that just.. stick out of the middle of the finger cause thats not really what they are like either..

Errr yes I do play with my cats paws a lot xD

 

i think their anthros are meant to be like a cartoon of a cat. like the pukis' hands are cartoonish in a (to me) nice way, too.

of course natural body parts would be a super-interesting direction to go, also.

 

OKaaaaaay so they've listed the basics on their website, and currently it appears as if you can only buy the boy in grey skin and the girl in white skin? That BETTER not be the case x_x or I really WILL have to get the girl and buy a boy body from another co...

Wth! I hope they just haven't finished yet (they didn't add pics yet)

 

I'm hoping there are more than just white basic girl or gray basic boy options. Looks like the high heeled feet only come with the full set girl, not the basic.

What I am really hoping for is a basic girl in the beige skin tone with makeup similar to the basic Ringo beige.

 

Woohoo! Basics are out, and you CAN get both skin colors for each.

I STILL don't know if I want a boy or a girl Dx Some of the pics of the boy are really cute, but the girl is still adorableeee gahhh...

They still haven't posted any more blank shots though.. That's what'll really decide for me I think. Man, I wish I could just see both irl x_x

In any case, Pipos is having a photo and Survey contest that looks like fun.

 

Ok, I think I've caved... I think I'm going to get myself one of the girls. I just can't... say no! XD

But before I do, I was wondering if anyone is going to make clothing for theirs? Or know if any other doll brands/sizes might fit them? (I'd at least like to start with some underwear!)
