Nobility Doll 63cm, 65cm, 70cm discussion

Hi all,

I was searching through doll sites yesterday and found a bjd body on one of the sites that had a neck joint (base of neck). I wish I'd bookmarked that site, but I didnt, and now I have no idea where it was! I could swear it was called 'Elegance Body' but I think I'm wrong, cause Google isnt turning anything up. It's not the small Obitsu Elegance, it's a real bjd body. Does anyone know off the top of their heads where this body I'm talking about hails from? Any help is appreciated!

 

If it's a male body it was probably Full Operation Ryoma's .. I think that's what it's called

Gah, it was Emotional body, not elegance. I knew it was an E word, I just didnt know which. Thank you guys so much! I'm slightly torn, as the character I want to create could really use that neck joint. Im not sure if the heads would work tho. The other body that would work is the DoD flexy body. I'm ramblin now though, hah, thank you both for your help, this is exactly what I was looking for!

Hi Misu, I noticed that you posted pictures of a Lati Yellow with the Nobility hands for comparing size. Could you possibly post (or PM me) a picture that shows the resin match? I'm thinking of getting a Lati Blue body for my NS Lie.

Also! A question about the nipples - do they have two states? like - when you push them do they have a more tucked back state and a protruding state or is it just a press and bounce back to protruding?

I've loved Lie since I first saw him, now that he's on a bigger body I gotta get him!!

Also: Does anyone know about NotDoll's faceups? when you order with them do you just get the faceup in the picture or can you give them info for custom? The only other place that I saw that sells Nobility is Luts but they don't have the Lie w/ Emotional.. any other places that sell Nobility that I'm missing?

well, I think squash-downable nipples (they appear to retract rather than be squishy) might be to avoid that old dilemma for doll artists or modifier: Do i want nipples for realism when nude, or no nipples, so there are not nipple-poiks when I dress him? re the penis... well, that seems excessive, unless the joint allows removal (since fitting pants around a solid-moulded crotch can be a pain )

 

Except the nipples don't stay down well enough to not poke out when he's dressed. They're more like little buttons- you can press them down, but they'll pop right back out! And do they EVER stick out. I don't think even a little peice of tape could hold them down.

 

OMG! I am so glad I read this thread. I was so focused on my annoyance at his little butterfly that I had not noticed that 'genital joint'.

I don't love the heavy blushing, but the joints seem very well done.

Has anyone bought one yet?

 

I had one for a little while - it is not as posable as you would think. The bottom torso joint is locked, it is only there to make the mold casting easier. It doesn't add any posing. The odd hip joints also don't work very well, certainly not in the ways suggested. I could never get the double-jointed elbows to work without a fight. And to top it all off, the sculpting on a whole seemed very basic and undetailed to me.

The only cool things were the jointed neck and penis. The nipples were a huge disappointment since they didn't STAY in. You could only press at them. They don't work like a pen clicker-top.

 

Well, someone had to do it sooner or later. Everyone feels that their dolls have personalities so...well...blush...ya know...okay, yeah the genital joint is just odd.

 

lmao, i love how posable he is...im actually thinking about getting one. the rotating penis i could do without but the nipples are hilarious XD

 

Mine just arrived - I have no idea what you're all fuzzing about, since most dolls have peens, the only difference is on Ryoma you simply have to handle it much the same way you handle a real man - putting it away and stuff :P
The nipples are cute - but on my doll they fit their holes, and there are no openings around them, so they don't look awkward.

The HANDS on this boy, are just... wow. WOW! They're just so handsome. Even when not blushed.

I ordered the full doll, but he came with the extra neck piece, which was a huge plus, since I'm going to use him for a DL Brown head and some MnM heads for pictures...

I'll post some pics of the neck joint when I've sueded him properly, and re-stringed him Other than that, he has - potentially - one hell of a posing ability, and I love him.
