Noble Dolls Asella Tiny Radicelle Rhubarbe Discussion Part 1

Feb 1, 2013

    1. I've been lurking for a little while here until my girl came in. I first met her when jpopdolls had her at Dollakon. I couldn't afford her then, but a couple months later when I had the money, I scrambled to find her again. I was so lucky that jpopdolls still had her in their show stock! I even had had friends check at Austin BJDC for a Rhubarbe...but no luck. So I am very lucky to have her now! I just picked her up from the post office today. Jpopdolls was no nice to send a gift wig for her, as I had none in her size. Once I got home, I cut it to a style I wanted where I could see her eyes. It's my first time cutting a wig and I think it turned out really well. Still have no idea what her style and name is yet. But I love her size and shape! She is the first in this size that I have and this should be fun. ^_^

    2. welcome, and glad you were able to finally get your dream girl!

    3. What a sweet little one! Looks like it was meant to be, great job on that wig too :dance
I was so excited to meet with Asella at BJDC, even though I was talking too fast for her to understand me, its pretty darn awesome to meet the artist of your dream dolls!

    4. She's an artist cast Elles, one of the only 10 artist casted if I'm not mistaken.

All those wonderfull dolls are making me sad I'll be broke for Ldoll ><

    5. i guess ill just have to hope she does an elles through jpop then. its the only way i'll be able to get one.

    6. Elles is actually from the company Once Upon A Doll, created by Asella and Ehowinn. They hosted a few preorders of factory casted dolls in the past (Elles and Lyseron molds in different resin color), I don't know if there'll be any other preorder for those molds after Ldoll. Wait and see as they say !

    7. She's lovely - congratulations on getting her! I love how you have styled her wig, too!

    8. She's adorable! I love her little face.

    9. Thank you! I think it turned out really well too. I am off to this doll store in Chicago today to try and find some clothes to fit her...as she is a size I have never had before. She's bringing my realpuki with her for the same reason...and she treats him like an elfy teddy bear. Anyone have any ideas on shoes, pants etc that would fit her? I know the answers are probably randomly in this thread...but I don't have time to look. I may end up making her clothes regardless...maybe some bloomers and a corset. Oh, and b/c I know there are differences in the mold; she is a small bust jpopdolls cast from the March/April? Batch this year.

Sorry if I'm spamming. But I just got her this adorable rubyredgalleria outfit and I think the little hat is so perfect. And the blue shoes XD

    10. thanks i just bookmarked the site and i'll keep an eye out
i can't remember what size shoes i got though some people have said that yosd sized are too bad -just a bit big. i haven't found pants that fit , but looser short sleeved or sleeveless blythe dresses fit the small busted dolls nicely, just a bit short but that can look cute, and they need to be full below the waist to fit over her generous hips. i also found some barbie clone tops in a clearance bin and lucked out in that they fit really well. again you have to watch out that the sleeves aren't too tight 'cause rhubarbes hands are bigger than barbies! (or blythes)

what a cute outfit! what size is it?

    11. the outfit was for Yo-SD sorta...but it's Ruby Red...so you're never quite sure what kind of doll they are sizing for. The stock pictures online were on a littlefee. Granted, she vest was all the way to the skirt line on a littlefee...but I like the short vest style on her. I did find some shoes from antique dolls at the doll store I went to. It was great that I was able to try things on and found some that fit like a charm. Even these blue ones fit her. They are a little long in the toe...but not really noticeable with socks.

I'd love to find where Asella gets her shoes for her fullsets, they are lovely! with heels and everything! So mature! I suppose you would need the high heel feet for those though...and I find it very unlikely I will be able to find those.

    12. That is such a cute photo! :thumbup

    13. Yesterday was face-up day, my Rhubarbe got one... Fox theme...

I wish she looked less sad and more mischevious, but I am still happy with the result...
      Now she needs a tail...

    14. Love the theme, hair is perfect, she really looks great! :thumbup

    15. i think it's how you did the eyebrows, but i think she is brilliant! did you draw the fur with watercolor pencils?

    16. Thank you Xanadu dolls, the wig is a custom one from Spite and Malice.

Auntbear, indeed I used waterpencil for the fur effects above an orange blush around her eyes, no eyebrow per se but the lines above her eyes are probably the cause of the sad expression... not sure how I could fix it, but I will take time to think about it before I dare redo it...

    17. sorry, the lines above the eyes were what i was calling eyebrows. i think its the top one, the upsidedown curve that makes her look sad/pensive, 'cause it looks like eyebrows drawn down in a sad position. i think it is a very sweet look personally, but if its not what you are going for i'd take a look at pictures of expressions like you want and see what eyebrow poition they have. if she is really well sealed you might be able to even add the new eyebrows on top of the faceup you already have and see if you like the effect... then just erase them if you dont.

    18. aw, I love your little fox!

    19. Why do all become so critical of our own work? I think she's gorgeous just the way she is and her expression is lovely...personally I would leave her as she is.

    20. i think the best solution would be to get another one, and do a second fox with a mischievous expression, then you could keep this one with her lovely pensive expression, and still get a fox the way you envisioned her! ;) you'd just end up with twins :)
