1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Not Wanting The Beautiful's

Sep 20, 2008

    1. I know exactly how you feel C: I've seen so many pretties out there, but I couldn't really own them myself XD

    2. Anything that is an MSD size, I just can't consider. Apart from my one and only teenie gem, all my other dolls are 60-65 cm. I really like just having the one standard size and not a mishmash of sizes for my collection. Consequently, no matter how beautiful an MSD size girl is, I won't ever buy her.

    3. For me it's quite the contrary, I love to look at SD and bigger size, but I don't consider to buy any, both because their prices and because I love to take my dolls outside for pictures and photostories. A doll to big and heavy to easily travel or walk around with isn't for my collection.
Some childish tinies aren't, too, because I find them very cute but they have a too little place in my fantasy universe to really enjoy them.

    4. Of course! I don't just need a doll to be beautiful, I need more.

I find the vast, vast majority of BJDs to be beautiful, after all that's why the few I stumbled upon years ago made enough of an impression for me to start to secretly want me own!

After all the required research, though, I finally know my taste and if the face isnt realistic, the eye shape doesn't speak to me, the lips aren't pouty, kissable and just the right size, the nose is too pointy etc etc etc!!! I say, wow that's a beautiful doll, but she isn't quite for me.

I can still love looking at owner pictures of those dolls and give true and heartfelt compliments but still know that when it comes to paying hundreds of dollars for something that you want to truly connect with and cherish, the doll has to do more than just be beautiful. It has to give you butterflies, make your breath stop for a moment when you first see it and say "oh wow, have I just found the one?!"
